Unknown to Tommy, Paul had called ahead and arranged for a private showing. He flashed his driver's license at the door and they were ushered inside. After a short description of the newest paintings, they were allowed to look around. The curator told them where her office was if they needed anything.
"Paul, you did all this for me?" asked a surprised Tommy. "Why?"
"Yes, baby, I did. Why? Because I love you very much and I want you to be happy."
"I-I-I don't know what to say." whispered Tommy. "I truly do want to be happy. I'm trying."
"I know." Paul let Tommy wander down the hall as he browsed through the paintings for sale. Finding a few he wanted to ship home, he stacked them in the main hallway and went looking for Tommy. "Baby, did you find anything you like ?" after he found Tommy.
"Yes, how do we ship them home?"
They went to the curator's office to ask her. After finding out the information, they paid for the shipping and waited until they were picked up and carried out to the local post office.
After finishing up their museum visit, the two of them headed outside to the gift shop. Picking out several souvenirs for Gene and Eric and themselves, they headed to a local pub.
Paul was happy that Tommy finally wore a smile instead of tears. He kissed him near the fountain in front of a huge statue.
