Tommy nearly ran off the road trying to get away from Cannon Beach and Jaime. His vision was now blurry with old tears steadily running down his face and new tears continuously forming.

Finally pulling into the nearest parking lot he reached for his phone with shaking hands and unlocked it. Not caring if he dialed Eric, Gene or Paul he hit redial and waited for whomever to pick up.

"'Sup Tom? " came Eric's cheery voice.

"E-er? I-i- c-can't go on the t-tour. C-c-call Bruce back! P-p-please!!" Tommy hung up and kept crying.

On his end, Eric hung up and ran to tell Gene and Paul about the phone call. When Paul started freaking out, Gene calmly smacked him while dialing Tommy at the same time. "You will be the lead guitarist so get your ass down to the rehearsal studio by tomorrow. Understand?"

"DID YOU NOT HEAR WHAT I SAID?"

"I heard you and-stop freaking out diva!" snapped Gene.

 "Ass! That hurt!"mumbled Paul.

Tommy had hung up and was heading back to confront Jaime.

Back in the beach house, Jaime was trying to come up with an explanation that sounded believable but would cover his tracks.

The car door slammed and Tommy stormed inside only to find Jaime waiting.

The two stood face to face in silence until Jaime spoke. " You are always gone so I found comfort in someone else. "

"Do you love me?"

"Yes. Always have. Always will."

"Then make her leave."

Jaime's silence and reluctance made more tears start. "I-i guess I have my answer."

Tommy called Eric back as he pulled into a roadside truck stop.

"Tell Gene I'll be there tonight."

Eric explained that they were already at the hotel in San Diego and sent Tommy the directions and room number.
