Wedding

At one the next day, Paul showed up in a pair of tight black jeans, boots and a black silk shirt. He had brought Tommy something besides sweat pants and pajamas. "Let's go get you ready." 

"You think the jeans are tight enough?" laughed Tommy as Paul undid the button. "You could have just worn the bigger pair."

"I'm fine." "Come on, it will take me an hour put on my eyeliner and fix my hair."

"Good lord diva." mumbled Tommy. He was now a bit nervous as he began to get ready. He hoped Paul wouldn't back out. 

Down in the chapel, Paul was talking to the chaplain before walking back over to Tommy. "Let me see your ring. I'll put it back on afterwards." 

"Oh no! I don't have one for you!"

Paul flashed his hand quickly. "I went out and brought one. We can go get new ones later if you want."

Tommy slid his off and placed it in Paul's palm. He was ready to get this over with due to nervousness.

Finally they said their vows and placed the rings back on their fingers. Tommy was trying to keep from crying.

"It's okay. Sh. I'm always going to be here for you."

After signing the certificate, the chaplain made a copy and wished them well. "Congratulations and I wish you the very best."

On the way back up, Tommy held on to Paul's hand and walked the whole way. "So where do you want to go on a honeymoon?"

"Ooh, baby, that's probably going to have to wait. We kick off the tour in two weeks."

"Two!!!???" cried Tommy. "But I'm barely going to be home! You can't be gone  that long!"

"You're going with us....you're just not playing lead every night."

"WHAT!!!WHY!!!???"

"Calm down." "I want you to be able to heal more." "I could have told you no to the whole thing."

Knowing he would not win the argument, Tommy miserably agreed. "Fine! If you insist."

"Baby, I'm not fighting, okay? The more you rest, the quicker you'll get better. I love you so I'm letting you go."

Tommy sulked but didn't argue. He allowed Paul to undress him and put him back in bed. "Are you at least staying?"

"If I can get these damned jeans off." he mumbled.

Tommy managed to get the zipper down so Paul could wiggle out of them.

They spent their wedding night in the hospital room.
