Doctor's Appointment

Pat waited until Tommy came out of the shower to tell him. "Let me tell you something. If this child turns out to be Jaime's and he refuses to acknowledge it, don't be surprised. " "I truly don't know how Paul will handle it either. If it comes down to it, I'll take care of both of you."

"Pat?"  "What are you saying?"

"I'm just trying to tell you that some men don't take kindly to raising other men's children." "Some men fill that role gladly."

On that note, Tommy just sat on the bed in shock. "I want the baby to be my husband's. I mean, yes, I did love Jaime for years but he threw it all away." "I love Paul but I don't want to break his heart if...."

"Look, you're the one you need to worry about."

The two finally headed to the private office. "I'll be here for you. No matter what."

Tommy was scared and nervous but he answered questions as best he could. When it came time for the sonogram Pat had to physically lay him on the table. "Just relax. We'll know soon enough."

"We've been together three months." murmured Tommy. "So anything less than that is Paul's. " "Three months is either or." "More than three is Jaime's."

The sonographer was able to locate the babies soon. "You have twins." she said. "It looks like you're exactly three months along." 

"T-t-twins? W-w-what gender?" stammered Tommy.

"It's a bit too early to tell yet."

Tommy was dazed by the news. "Twins." he whispered. "Three months. I still don't know."

Pat was as shocked. "Wow!"

They headed back to the hotel. Tommy went straight to bed. Pat made the call to Bruce. "Hey, I know it's late but I really need to talk to you." He quickly told Bruce about the doctor's appointment. "So Tom's having twins but...."

"Yes. Do I take him back to the States? Do I let him join you guys?"

"I would suggest continuing on with us at least until he can talk to Paul." "I won't say anything yet. Just take care of him."

Pat hung up and headed to take a shower. He came out to find Tommy still asleep.
