Get Together

The week before Christmas Gene and Eric hosted a get together. Bruce came with Amy who was wearing an engagement ring. They brought lots of food and a bottle of sparkling grape juice for Tommy. 

Gene had paid to have everything catered since Eric suggested it would be easier and less stressful.

Paul brought plenty of desserts and helped Gene set up. Tommy wandered around looking at the decorations and lights. He felt a bit better. Eric pulled him aside. "I want to apologize." 

"It's fine. Paul and I needed the push."

Tommy leaned over to hug Eric. "It's fine." he said again. 

Since it was a buffet, everyone could help themselves. Tommy picked over most of the meat and put mostly fruit on his plate along with sweets. "Could I have a glass of wine?"

"We haven't been to the doctor yet." "I would like to wait."

Tommy rolled his eyes and picked up a glass of water. He had been trying to keep being good. Paul looked over at him and saw the look on his face. "Tom, baby." "I just don't want anything to happen to our baby."

A nod as Tommy set the plate down. He stuck a piece of fruit in his mouth and made a face. "Ooh! Yuck!" "It's nasty!"

Paul wondered what it was so he wouldn't eat any.

"Candied kiwi." said Tommy. "Yuck!" He spit it out.

Paul saw Gene put the oranges on Eric's plate. 

Bruce hoped there were no octopus. He and Amy showed off her ring.

Tommy hadn't worn his which made Gene look at Paul and point.

"It's too lose." came the answer. "We opted for wearing it on a chain."

The get together went over well until Eric tripped and dropped the chocolate cake in Gene's lap.

Paul started laughing and got it shoved in his face.

Soon there was cake everywhere.
