The four of you stuck your heads out of the jacket, watching as Lang Wrangler faded into the crowd.

"What the hell was that just now? He ran super strangely, but we were able to hide because he was so slow..." Observed Jolyne.

You recalled the almost suction-like sound you had heard each time the enemy took a step. "It also seemed like his fingers and toes were sticking to the floor. Perhaps that correlates with his ability?"

Emporio nodded in agreement. "But in any case, you guys should head to the courtyard pronto. The phone call has definitely been recorded, but you have to get there before Whitesnake has a chance to listen to it."

Weather put his face right next to your ear, "Since I'm a guy... I just have to say I need to return to the men's ward. Then I can get in no problem... before you and Jolyne."

"That's true. But Jolyne and I will probably need to bribe our way in." Which shouldn't be too much of a problem. Fifty bucks each would probably do it.

"Oh..." Weather's eyes widen slightly and he leaned even closer, "Are you low on money? I don't have much... but I could afford to spare a few dollars..."

You gave a Weather's shoulder a light pat, "You don't have to worry about that. Jolyne and I still have some leftovers from our gambling session with Miraschon."

"Well, after the factory, to get to the courtyard, you need to force your way in." Reminded the kid. "The security may be light, but they'll still shoot you if they find you. Probably add five years to your sentences, too."

"We just have to go anyway." No matter the cost, Jolyne was going to get the disc back to her father. "Besides, another five years to my sentence doesn't make a difference to me anyway."

"I don't even think I have a proper amount of time I'm supposed to stay here." So the thought of an additional five years to your sentence didn't worry you at all.

"I have to stay here, but I want your father to come back, Jolyne. If he comes back I'll have more hope." So Emporio stayed hidden as the rest of you started down the hall.

Weather made his way through first, walking on the tips of his toes as per usual. He didn't even have to say anything. The guard just let him pass.

You and Jolyne walked up to his desk next, placing a fifty each under his plate that had a glass cup resting on it.

The guard popped open his Pepsi can after taking it off his desk. He started pouring some into his glass, only for it to almost float and bubble out of the glass. "Agh! Shit! This damn Pepsi. You there!" He pointed at Jolyne. "You just touched my soda, didn't you? Did you shake it or something? Go get me a new one, god damn it!"

"No, of course not. The only thing I touched was this saucer." Jolyne nudged it a little closer, to point out the money underneath. She decided to not acknowledge the strange state the soda was currently in as she took off her shoe. "My shoe has a hole in it, see? I thought I could get it fixed in the factory... it's expensive to buy a new one."

"Same here." You decided to give a reason for your visit as well.

The guard quickly snatched up the money, shoving it into in his back pocket. "Damn I spilled my Pepsi." He leaned over as he started to rummage through some drawers, "Where did I put those towels." Figuring the guard was giving her the go ahead, Jolyne started walking toward the gate.

You watched as the fifty dollar bill Jolyne had handed over floated out of the guard's pocket and started drifting until it hit the back of the Cujoh's neck. The cup followed suit, ending up wedged in the shoe still in Jolyne's hand.
