Gyro snapped out of his dazed state, remembering that you were beside him. His gaze immediately went to your injuries. "I'll go save Johnny. You stay here. I have to be the one to kill Ringo Roadagain."

"You can be the one to kill him if you want. That doesn't matter to me. If you focus on Ringo, I'll focus on getting Johnny away from him. The last thing we need is this turning into a hostage situation." You thought it would be better if Johnny were not the damsel in distress.

"Fine..." Gyro threw his steel ball at the house. It seemed to gain a more humanoid form for a second as he used his ability to look through the walls. "Johnny is definitely still alive." He could say it for certain, now. "But that map... Kansas City! He knows now where the next corpse part is! Starting now, neither us nor Ringo Roadagain can back down. In a way, this is like chess. The first one to make a bad move will lose, no matter what we all think... No matter how hard we fight against it!"

"Ora!" He threw the next ball, this time breaking through the wall and hitting Ringo in the face.

Before too much damage was taken, Ringo set back his watch.

You, who had been starting to go around to enter through a window, were sent back to where you were. Letting out a sigh, you starting jogging again. This could take a second.

Ringo moved his head to the side, allowing the steel ball to miss him as he talked to Gyro. "You're still here...? You're actions are meaningless to me. I've already expressed this. I can rewind six seconds in time! I can do this as many times as I wish! My employer will most likely tell me to dispose of you as well, but doing so is worth nothing to me. I will let you leave this orchard. Return to your race and do as you wish.

Narancia, who you had sent off to check on Hot Pants, relayed his findings through your mental connection. "It looks like she's still alive to me. Her Stand didn't disappear or anything either, so maybe..." He started spraying the bullet holes in Hot Pants's torso. "Yeah! I can use it! I'm a Stand with a Stand! You could probably fix Johnny with it, too."

"Good job." Your peaked over the window on the back side of the house. The enemy hadn't seemed to have noticed you yet. "Bring it over here. We'll return it to her after we fix everything up."

Gyro sauntered toward the house, continuing his conversation with Ringo. "Ya know... Might just be me, but I'm getting the feeling you're looking down on me. You said you fiddle with that wristwatch to turn back time, but... you know, I threw that steel ball to check your body. I'll tell you to be fair. My steel ball's scan found an old wound in your left collarbone. In my next attack, I'm going to aim for that collarbone!"

"And that impact, to that old wound, will most definitely paralyze your whole left side. And I don't think you'll be able to turn the knob on your wristwatch with a paralyzed left hand. Not just your left arm, but your left leg. Even your left eyelid. You won't even be able to speak. Even if you wanted to, there won't be a redo. No more six seconds back in time! And the paralysis will also stop your heart, which is also on the left side of your body." Gyro straight up kicked the wooden door down and walked over the splinters left behind.

Gyro stopped around a foot away from Ringo. "And, from this distance, neither of us are going to miss this shot. So, now what? We can't back down now. It doesn't matter what we want anymore."

They attacked at the same time. Gyro was shot in the heart and Ringo's whole left side had been paralyzed. His heart was slowing down its pumping. Before he could die, Ringo picked up the gun with his right hand and flipped it around, using it to shoot at the watch on his wrist and revert back six seconds.
