"My eyelids are falling?! And why are they bleeding?!" Jolyne tried to pry her her right eye open with both hands.
You couldn't do much to improve your own eyesight, but you still got to work on trying to straighten the airplane. "Narancia, can you see what's attacking us?"
"Hmm... no." He didn't take much time to think about it. "It's too fast for me to track, but I think it is expelling some carbon dioxide. I think it might be an actual living thing."
"Yes, there's definitely something in here with us!" Hermès backed herself up into a corner, hoping that'd give her a chance to spot whatever was zooming about.
"Ora!" Jolyne made Stone Free punch in the air as string stretched out around the interior of the vehicle. "Are you sure something's here? It hasn't even brushed against my net!"
Narancia nodded. "There's definitely something here. It's just so fast we can't see it."
"Agh!! I'm bleeding!" Emporio clutched his face in pain.
"Emporio..." You pulled him closer, hoping to protect from the nearly invisible enemy Stand. You had your other hand wrapped around the helicopter's cyclic in order to make sure the vehicle didn't tilt too far in one direction. Merely an attempt to delay the inevitable.
"If only we could touch it, then we could kill it for sure." Hermès spared a second to look down at her hands, finding her right one to have grown several sizes larger. "What the fuck?! Is it spreading some kind of disease?!"
"So you think that if we could see it, we'd be able to defeat it, Hermès?" Asked Jolyne, cooking up a few ideas.
"Yeah, if you could figure out where the hell it is, I'd beat the crap out of it!"
"All right, Hermès." Jolyne grabbed the Costello by the arm. "We're going to ditch the helicopter. (Y/N)! You grab Emporio!" And she leaped off the helicopter.
You sighed. You had just finished getting the helicopter back on course. "Welp. Hang on tight." So you took the kid and followed after the Cujoh.
Narancia followed you in your descent, a contemplative look on his face. "(Y/N)... I'm beginning to wonder... what if this isn't the fault of some Joestar curse and it's actually all because of you..? Cause, like, there weren't any JoJos on board when we crashed that last helicopter into the ocean back in Italy."
"Wh-What? There's a Joestar curse?!" That was the first Emporio had heard of it.
You shrugged as best you could while falling at the speed you were. "Something tells me it would've happened regardless if I was here or not, Narancia. But you do make a good point."
"I see them!" Shouted Hermes, spotting the long, rod-like creature. "They're following us down!" She brought out Kiss, which easily crushed it with one punch. "I did it!" Except a whole swarm wasn't far behind. "Shit! There's more!"
"Grab on to me!" The lower half of Jolyne's body had completely unwound, still connected to the helicopter. "We're almost at the ground!" Once the Costello listened, she was able to lessen the impact upon splashing into the marsh.
"Here, take Emporio." You didn't think Narancia was strong enough to sustain the weight of two people. Jolyne had also already began to rewind herself. You'd just take the fall.
The Ghirga slowed down a bit, before placing the kid safely on the ground. "There, you okay?"
Emporio blinked a few times. "Y-Yeah. And my eyes are back to normal, too! I can see again! I guess it isn't a disease or something. Ah!" He hobbled to where you laid unmoving in the marsh water. "But are you okay, (Y/N)? After a fall like that..."
