"He's below... He's running below..." Diego mumbled to himself, trying to come up with some sort of proper plan. "If he's underground, I have no idea where he'll shoot me! I might not be able to time my ability right. Not to mention, (Y/N) is still following me from behind..."

Johnny listened carefully to the sound of the hooves above him. "I think I can tell which ones are Diego's." He raised his hand, ready to fire above himself.

You had Moxy slow down, surprised by the scene before you. "Is this even allowed...? Doesn't this count as disrupting the race?" You wondered how much trouble you would be in if you had Moxy plow through them. Because of your prior experience with them, you weren't exactly fond of raging fangirls.

Diego had been swarmed by dozens of women. They were climbing onto his horse and diving toward him, blocking the whole entrance to bridge. It was obvious to you that he was trying to use them as human shields.

"What's this?!" The announcer, however, had a different view of the situation. "Is being a topic of the press more important to him than the battle for the goal? Is he so confident in his victory that he feels he has time to spare? Or, since it appears (Y/N) is watching the situation, could this be an attempt to get back at her for breaking up with him? As many watching are probably aware, (Y/N)'s love life has been a hot topic throughout the course of the race. Is he attempting to make her jealous?"

Diego peaked at you from underneath the four ladies hanging tightly onto him. He was admittedly curious if you and the version of himself from this universe actually had something going on with each other. Your annoyed expression seemed to suggest otherwise.

Tusk came out of the ground, aiming to crush Diego's head. Instead, it wound up hitting two women in the face. Their bodies began spiraling so quickly that their heads and arms completely tore apart, scattering everywhere. They wound up in such tiny pieces that the there was essentially nothing left. The situation went unnoticed by the crowd.

"Hmph!" Diego started pushing the ladies away  as they continued tugging at his body. "That was not my crime, Johnny. The one who killed them was you. Such pure and cute girls... It's such a shame they broke into pieces and died." He finally managed to break free from the crowd. "That's enough." His voice suddenly turned cold. "You lot, get off my horse."

You sped up as the group started dispersing, being careful to give them a bit of room. A few of them seemed especially mad at you, likely because of what the announcer had said.

"You just killed two people." Kars relayed the info to Johnny. "Diego remains unscathed. At this rate, he'll continue to use others as shields." It didn't matter to him, but he assumed to Johnny it might.

"I... huh?!" The Joestar had not intended to end the lives of any random bystanders. "But if he keeps doing that, there isn't much point in me being down here, then, is there?"

The mouse shrugged to the best of its ability. "If that's what you decide."

A few seconds later, you spotted Johnny catching up behind you. Slow Dancer was running at nearly full speed.

"We have to catch up with Diego." Stated the Joestar once he caught back up with you. You soon had Moxy matching up with his pace. The white mouse leaped off of Johnny's shoulder and merged with Kars's forearm. "The only way to beat him is in close range. That's the only way for me to be sure of my shot."

"Johnny Joestar appears to have reunited with (Y/N) (L/N). But what's this?!" The announcer was on the edge of his seat. "The pair has gained a sudden burst of speed. With only three kilometers to go before they reach the goal, what could they be thinking? In the hands of untrained riders, this could be dangerous and potentially damage the horses. Expert timing is required."
