"Are you still doing good, Moxy?" You didn't want her tiring out when you weren't even halfway through the first stage. You knew she had racing experience, but you didn't really know her limitations.

She let out a snort to reassure you that she could do this all day if she felt like it.

"Let's take a shortcut." Gyro veered off course and into the forest of small trees on the right.

"Let's?" You weren't sure if he was talking to you or to his horse, but started following him through the greenery anyway. You weren't about to lose sight of him now. Especially when such a short cut could shave up to 1000 meters off of the distance you'd need to travel. Any little bit would help.

Before you even asked, Moxy nodded her head. Essentially telling you that she'd be just fine when traveling through the foliage.

You gave her neck a pat, "Go as fast as you'd like then. Don't worry about hurting me in the process. I'll be just fine." You brought out your Stand as you took off Kars's hat. "Narancia, let's switch you out for now."

"Okie doki." Making sure that no one was looking first, since it would be strange if someone saw a hat just disappear into thin air, Narancia swapped his item out. You then slipped the orange band back around your wrist.

You smiled at him, continuing to converse mentally, "Hey, do you think you could do something about these branches? I don't want Moxy to worry about them knocking me off."

Kars brushed his purple locks over one shoulder as he floated slightly in front of you. "I'm not usually one to damage plants, but..." He casually rose one arm up, letting his bone blade emerge, easily cutting through any branches that would hit you.

You watched the chunks of wood fall to the ground. "That's probably not the most discreet method, but I appreciate the help all the same."  Although, it was probably a safety hazard for the other riders behind you. Not that you cared about them.

"Are you allowed to harm other contestants?" Asked Kars, looking at the two people behind you that were now within view. He could sense the presence of a few hundred or so people not too far behind them. One was Johnny and the other was Pocoloco, a man who just found himself with copious amounts of incredible luck.

"I think we're technically not supposed to. But as long as no one finds out, I guess it wouldn't be a problem." And considering the current technology the police would have access to, it probably wouldn't be that difficult to get away with most crimes. "Why do you ask?"

"Well, if we need to fight someone, I wouldn't want you getting disqualified. But I suppose if it was done in self-defense, they'd be okay with it anyway. Not that they'd even be able to see me in the first place." Kars then took another peek behind you. Having been hit by a branch and knocked off his horse, Pocoloco was being dragged through the dirt with one foot still stuck in a stirrup. "There's someone closing in on us though. Number 777?"

"777?" You turned to see who it was, Moxy still darting past the trees. "With a number like that, do you think he's lucky or something?"

"It appears that way. He didn't fall off his horse on purpose, yet it ended up working in his favor." Kars narrowed his eyes at Pocoloco, mouth on the verge of a scowl. "And I find it rather annoying." Having been blasted into space and eventually dying due to Joseph's dumb luck, Kars knew the dangers of going against a lucky person very well. Of course, he had no such disdain for your own luck.

"What the-?" Gyro, taking a glance behind himself, spotted not only Pocoloco, but you as well. He was most surprised to see the branches that were about to hit you getting cleanly sliced through, seemingly out of thin air. Just what the hell were you doing?
