"Treason, huh?" Gyro's expression darkened. "So if I don't go, they might send someone to get rid of me instead. Great. They have plenty of people who are experts in Spin, including my family, and I'm sure they have some Stand users at their disposal."

"Do you not want to go back to Italy?" You asked.

"I mean, yeah, I want to go back at some point. Just not like this." Gyro pulled a hand through his hair. "I love my homeland, but... I can't agree with the way they do things. Sentencing an innocent child to execution and demanding fifty million for a chance to change the decision? It isn't right. And now they've thrown away that option altogether."

"And not to mention what happened to Wekapipo and his sister." Added Johnny.

"Then, when you go back to Naples, why don't you figure out what these groups gathering for a revolution intend to do." You used your chopsticks to grab a piece of sashimi and held it out to Gyro. "Perhaps you can aid them instead. You've mastered Spin. And since the Vatican wasn't able to secure the corpse for themselves, there wouldn't be anything to block it like Valentine's Love Train. You can talk it over with your family first if you're worried about them. However, your father did exile Wekapipo rather than executing him and then kept his sister in hiding. That tells me he doesn't fully agree with how things are being run, either."

Gyro stared at the food being offered, "...Will you go with me?"

"Of course!" Helping kill the President was one thing, but you had never helped take down a monarchy before. Maybe it'd be fun. "What about you, Johnny?"

The Joestar stayed silent for a bit, having to think about it. While he wanted to help out he also just... exhausted. After four months of racing and fighting, he would much prefer to have a good long break before doing anything of the sort again. The boat ride had hardly been good enough. "I think I'll watch over the house while you two are away, if you don't mind."

"Okay, that's fine." You didn't want to pressure him into going along with you. "But will you be all right here on your own?"

He gave you a small smile. "If I need help with anything, I'll just ask the Higashikatas."

Gyro proceeded to eat the piece of fish you held out to him, chewing it as he spoke. "I guess that settles it, then." He leaned back, stretching his arms. "Welp." He stood up and started walking away. "I think I'll go take a bath. You can join me if you want, (Y/N). It's good to conserve water."

You chuckled to yourself. "In your dreams, Gyro."

He stopped in place, feigning surprise. "How'd you know? Are you dreaming about the same thing?"

"Yeah, yeah..." You waved him away, still laughing as he went to go actually take the bath he was talking about.

With the Zeppeli gone, you and Johnny went back to eating what was still left.

A few seconds later, the Joestar broke the silence. "Do you like it when he makes jokes like that?" Realizing what he had just asked, his face flushed red. "I-I mean... uh... That was a bit of a weird question! You don't have to say anything!"

You rested an elbow on the table and then your chin in the palm of your hand. "I guess I find it a little funny? Even though I'm pretty sure he means what he's saying most of the time, so I'm not sure if you could really call it a joke... Why do you ask?"

"O-Oh... well..." He found himself looking everywhere except at you. "I guess I just feel like Gyro is always able to make you laugh, and I... I'm not really sure if I can pull off what he does. Does that... make sense?"

"Johnny." You brought a hand up to his face, getting him to actually look at you. "I like you just as you are. You don't need to go around trying to act like Gyro." You gave him a brief peck on the cheek. "Now, I'm going to start cleaning up these dishes. You can go take a bath of your own, if you want, since the other bathroom's still open."
