"Do you know him?" Asked Johnny, wondering why you seemed so shocked.

"Oh! He was..." You glanced to list in your hand. "Seventh place in the first stage, so I guess he just made an impression on me." The last time you had seen Stroheim was in your final battle with Kars. And then the next thing you heard of him was that he had died at the Battle of Stalingrad. To see him before you once more certainly felt strange.

"No matter who he is, let's just leave him for now. We're still ahead of him by a lot. He'll tire out soon enough, anyway." So Gyro wouldn't worry about the German man just yet.

But after a few more hours of riding, Stroheim had nearly caught up with your group. He was only half a horse length behind.

"That guy's horse must be on steroids!" The Zeppeli had changed his tune. "We're 25km away from the goal! He either has some crazy technique or he's doping. Otherwise he wouldn't be able to challenge us at this point in the race. He must be doping! I just decided that he is." He refused to listen to any other possible reasons.

"German science is the greatest in the world..." You mumbled to yourself, wondering if they were as technologically advanced now as they had been in your universe, even if the year was a bit different.

"Let's just let him pass us!" Johnny was physically and mentally exhausted. He was not in the mood for another fight. "Our horses pulses are also at 220 per minute! If we force them to run at top speed now, we'll never make it to the goal."

"No, Johnny! We can't let any strangers near us!" It hadn't exactly gone great the last few times, and Gyro would rather not repeat the same mistakes. "The course to the left is my Valkyrie's favorite type of land! We'll let him crush himself there!"

And then Stroheim pulled out a revolver with his left hand. At the same time, the skin of his right arm parted to reveal the complex machinery that had transformed the appendage into its own firearm.

"He pulled out a gun! He's a terrorist!" Warned Johnny, seconds before Gyro was shot off his horse. In an attempt to dodge the bullets being fired at him, the Joestar fell off his own horse.

You winced as a bullet lodged itself into your shoulder. "Moxy, get out of here." You unmounted her, encouraging her to hide somewhere safer. You didn't need her getting wounded amidst the shooting. You'd call her back once the battle was over.

"Johnny, are you okay?" You kept a hand over your wounded shoulder as you started making your way towards him.

"I'm fine... But you just got shot! Are you okay?!" At the moment, he was more worried about you than himself.

"Don't move!" Shouted Stroheim, one gun trained on you and Johnny while his robotic hand was aimed at Gyro. Without waiting for any sort of response, he shot the Zeppeli in the face.

Except the bullet bounced off Gyro. "Eyoww! It hurts!" A steel ball spun in both hands as the  skin along his whole body twisted. "Y-You son of a bitch! That freakin' hurts!"

"The spin of the steel balls... It has the power to carve certain things and control certain body muscles." Stroheim had done his research. "It looks like you made your skin hard enough to bounce off bullets..." He shot at Gyro's arms this time, only to get the same results.

"Waah! Fuck you!" Gyro grit his gold teeth in pain. Even if the bullets were ricocheting elsewhere, it still hurt like hell.

"Drop them, Gyro Zeppeli!" Ordered the German man. "If you don't, I'll shoot your friends and your horse. You can even-" He cut himself off as the gun in his left hand was getting tugged on by an invisible force. "What?!"
