"What's wrong, Gyro?" Asked Johnny. "You all right? Is it too much to travel through this storm any further?"
"No, that's not it! It's not the storm or pain causing this! I just saw something!" Gyro slowly let his hand fall back to his side. "It's gone now. I don't know what it was, but in my eye I saw something heading towards us..."
"Gyro, could your something be that?" Johnny pointed ahead. "Look carefully through the rain. That direction."
"Diego Brando?" You took another sip of your beverage, thankful the conversation had moved away from the expiration date on the soda can. But it's not like the idea of you being from the future had ever crossed Johnny's mind to begin with. He now seriously thought soda could stay good for more than a century. "But he's moving away from us, not toward us. Do you remember anything specific about the thing you saw?"
The Zeppeli racked his brain for answer, "I think there was something pink?"
"Our target is in sight!" Reminded Johnny. "We need to ready our hearts."
"I'm all ready, Johnny." Gyro's gaze was set straight ahead. "But during the previous stage you predicted I would never be able to beat Dio in a race. What about now? What do you think? Be honest! Do you still think I'm unable to beat him?"
"I didn't want to seem high and mighty, but I believe you have grown." Admitted Johnny. "And you have your own distinct style of racing that nobody can imitate. But he is hungrier than before. He wants the next corpse part more badly than us. More than before."
"And according to Ringo Roadagain, you're in the 'True Man's World' now. Whatever that means." You thought about it a little more. "But then again, he did die as result of that whole belief, so maybe it's not really a good thing?"
The Zeppeli let out a semi nervous laugh. "Wow, (Y/N), you're really filling me up with confidence here, aren't you?"
"You asked us to be honest."
Gyro decided to wave your words away. "Well, no matter what, I wanna crush that bastard. Eh, guys? We need to totally crush him right here!"
"I agree!" Proclaimed Johnny. "We need to crush him no matter what it takes!"
"Do you want me to take your mug?" Once you nodded, Yoshikage went to grab it. He lingered for a second upon his hand making contact with your own. "Should I take the umbrella with me, too? It would probably get in the way during a fight."
"Yes, I suppose you're right about that..."
Yoshikage left to return everything to the void room. Everything was soggy from the heavy rain in mere moments.
Gyro's eyes scanned your body, not minding the way your now drenched clothes clung to your skin. If only it was a little more see through...
"Wait, he's stopping!" Shouted the Joestar. "He must've realized he's being followed!"
"H-Huh?" Gyro was ripped away from his thoughts to see what was happening. "Oh! I see! It's all going to be anarchy from here! There aren't any balloons around to referee the race!" Then his gaze drifted back to you.
You looked over at the Zeppeli, a tad concerned. "You feeling okay, Gyro? You're spacing out a little bit there."
He flashed you a smile, "I'm doing great, actually. Now, let's finish that bastard Dio before he attacks us!"
Johnny brought out Tusk and fired his nails the second Diego turned to face you all.
Yet somehow Diego leaped over the three of you, bringing his horse along with him. And while he was still in mid air, he took the time to talk. "The dynamic vision of a dinosaur... Listen! The reason I stopped my horse is to warn you that this is the last time you'll be able to come within two meters of me. Come near me again, and I'll rip you apart. And now I'll teach you the meaning of the word unrecoverable with my racing!"
