The Ludicrous Escapade Pt.3

Capture the Flag

Diego had Silver bullet stop near the entrance of an alleyway as he gave the air another good whiff. "The President is stalling ahead, just beyond that flag over there, in the shadows of the building."

"And Wekapipo is trailing you again." You had caught a glimpse of the Italian here and there.

"(Y/N), get on my back." Ordered Diego.

"...Why?" You would prefer to have an explanation first.

"Just do it! Quick!"

So you obliged, hanging onto his back as Diego let himself transform into dinosaur. He hopped off of Silver Bullet's back and landed on the rooftop of the building you were next to. He soon reverted back to human form, which made it look like he was given you a piggy back ride.

You scrambled off of him. "Okay, now what? We just watch from afar?"

"Well, yeah. Since you won't tell me his Stand ability, I'll just have to watch it in effect myself." He started leading you closer to the edge to get a better view of the situation. He brought a finger to his lips, signaling for you to keep quiet. "We'll wait for Wekapipo and the President to meet."

You were admittedly curious to see the Stand in action. Perhaps it would give you a better idea of how exactly Valentine was traveling through universes. "But wait, where did the President go?" Having turned the corner, Wekapipo was now standing all alone next to an American flag, a gun in his hand.

Wekapipo suddenly aimed his gun upward. He fired, but Diego easily dodged and pulled you back a tad just to make sure you were out of harm's way. "Stay up here." His voice came out as more of growl as he let himself transform into a dinosaur and jumped onto Wekapipo.

The two of them got into a little bit of a tussle. You brought out your Stand, who was currently Wamuu, just to be ready in case you needed to step in. Diego managed to rip the gun from Wekapipo's hand but got hit by a steel ball, causing him to suffer left-side-ataxia. Amidst the kerfuffle, the flag fell on top of them and...

You blinked, not sure if you were seeing things right. "Wamuu, did they just vanish beneath that flag?"

"It certainly appears that way. Perhaps Wekapipo acquired a Stand of his own? Or..." The Pillar Man considered an idea that made a bit more sense considering the situation. "It may be how the President's ability works. He was supposed to be there, right?"

You nodded. "Right. But that means he took them into another universe? How exactly do we fight someone who's in another universe?"

"Wait a moment." Wamuu gently grabbed you by the arm, redirecting your view to where Johnny was. "Is that not him over there? Coming out from between two of the horses?"

Realizing Valentine had a gun and was now aiming it at the Joestar, you tried to call out to your teammate. "Johnny, look-"

You were cut off as something was thrown  onto you. You heard the sound of a gunshot as Wamuu helped you pull the flag off. Once you could see properly again, Johnny had seemingly vanished. There weren't any of your horses around, either. "Is this... are we...?"

"Dojya~n!" Valentine, or at least one of the Valentines, was standing on the opposite side of the roof.

"What?" You turned around to face him. "Did you just say Dojya~n?"

"Hm? Do you like to say it, too? Perhaps we really are meant to be." Valentine chuckled to himself as he stepped closer. "As for your earlier question, you are indeed in another universe. I don't think the Steel Ball Run occurred in this one, so there wouldn't be any copies of your so-called teammates around at this time. " He held his chin up in thought. "And it did say you'd be here. So I suppose it was right about that."
