"Hey!"

"Officer!"

The three children ran up to the police officers, glad to see someone they felt they could trust.

"What?!" Hermès slowly stood up. "The hole was only this deep?! He must have deactivated Underworld after he left!"

"Hey! Where'd they go?!" Jolyne hoisted herself out of the hole while talking to the officer. "Did you see the guy that just came out of here?! Two people left, so where did they go?!"

"Wait a second! You two..." The officer pointed to Hermès and Jolyne. "I think I've seen both of you on a wanted poster or something..." No news had gone out on your escape, though. The Speedwagon Foundation had made sure any records of you were quickly taken care of.

"Just how far do these rainbows spread?" You thought it unlikely that Weather Report would be able to control the weather around the entire world. Not that it'd be impossible. You simply watched as the rainbow grazed along the side of the officer's head, an escargatoire of snails hatching from his now open head.

One of the snails gave Hermès hand a gentle kiss, make her yank her hand back in disgust. "What the fuck?!"

"Those two are prisoners that escaped!" The officers pulled out their guns, eager to fire. But the rainbows' effect was too strong, making them collapse in a pile of more snails.

"Don't touch the rainbows!" Called out Jolyne, hoping the children would listen. The kids shrieked back and huddled together in a corner of the hole.

You stared at the snails as they seemed to now cover nearly every inch of space. "So the rainbows are turning people into snails...? Is this Uzumaki or something?"

"Hold on, Hermès! Let's get you out of that hole!" Jolyne reached over to lend the Costello an arm while you gave her a boost from behind. Though you ran into a slight problem.

The bottoms of Hermès' arms had morphed into the body of a snail, leaving behind a slimy trail as she simply slid out of the hole. Sweating profusely, she reached for a glass of water still resting on the table. "Damn, being in that hole made me thirsty." She chugged the water down like she had just been trekking through the desert for weeks. Her hair and back was slowly twisting, spiraling into the shape of a shell.

"H-Hermès? What the..." Jolyne could only stare.

Your hands hovered above the Costello's back, not sure if you should actually be touching it. "What exactly is Weather even doing?"

"More like where the fuck even is he?" Setting the glass back down, Hermès trudged closer to the doorway. "Is he our enemy now? Who do we kill first? Weather or the priest? This new Weather is our enemy, right?"

"No! Weather is our friend!" Jolyne couldn't believe that Hermès was even thinking about killing him. "He's not our enemy! Let's go after Versus!"

You slowly nodded along. "I think you're right. Pucci had said this rainbow thing was an unconscious ability, not that we can be sure he's telling us the truth. It's also not like Weather would have forgotten all his new memories. I'm sure he must still know who we are. We might be able to convince him to stop what he's doing."

"Well, if we're going after Versus, which way do you think he went?" Hermès was going to sprint out into the hall, only for her slug arm to get caught on the wall. Her eyes began to extend away from her face. "Where did he go?"

Whatever was going on, it wasn't pretty.

...

"Damn, they're hot!" Whispered a brunette woman in a striped crop top to her friend.
