It was raining. Of course it was. It was a funeral after all. It always had to be raining at a funeral. You half wondered if the foundation had planned it on a day with poor weather on purpose.
Bruno stood next to you, holding the black umbrella above you, Emporio, and himself as you stared at the tombstones of Jotaro Kujo and Weather Report. And since there hadn't been a proper time for it earlier, Foo Fighters grave was set in place as well, even if there hadn't exactly been a body to bury.
Polnareff dabbed at his eyes with a handkerchief. Yesterday he had been informed almost immediately about what had happened and he hadn't stopped crying since.
Kakyoin gave the French man a pat on the back. He was sure that Jotaro was doing just fine. Probably hanging out somewhere with Caesar, Avdol, and Iggy.
Holly was crouched down in front of her son's grave as Joseph did his best to console her despite his old age. Jotaro's father hadn't even bothered to show up.
Jolyne had her face buried in the shoulder of a blonde women with hair that swooped to the side. You had never met her before but you assumed she was Jolyne's mother. The woman was very confused and distraught over the whole ordeal, but knew well enough that now was probably not the best time to probe her daughter for questions.
Feeling a lot better now that the Foundation had fixed her all up, Hermès was standing next to the graves of Weather and Foo. She hadn't known Jotaro very well, but the other two had been her friends. Anasui stood next to her, but his gaze had been trained on you the whole time.
Giorno was leaning against a nearby tree, watching the event. He had met the Kujo once or twice but had never even seen Weather Report or Foo Fighters. He felt more like a bystander if anything, and perhaps it was better that way.
Eventually it became time to clear out. They had died and they would be missed, that much was certain. But the living would have to continue on.
...
After people began leaving, being the non-Stand users and Joseph, the rest of you gathered under the gazebo near the graveyard.
"Hi, Jolyne. I'm Noriaki Kakyoin." He extended a hand for her to shake. "The man next to me is Jean Polnareff. I don't believe we've properly met before, but we were friends of your father."
"Hi..." While seated at the bench, Jolyne pulled her knees up to her chest. "(Y/N) told me about you guys while I was, you know, in prison. Especially since the vampire you guys fought became my enemy, too. For a while, at least. I don't really know anymore."
Giorno tapped you on the shoulder, "(Y/N), Bruno and I are going to head back to Italy to assist with any problems. Once things clear up, I'll visit so we can discuss what to do with my father."
"Okay." You leaned back to talk with him while Jolyne continued talking with the remaining crusaders. "And if you want to meet your brothers, they're currently being held in one of the Foundation's facilities. It's essentially a prison built specifically for Stand users. The whole building is the Stand of someone working for us."
"I'll be sure to visit you again soon as well." Bruno leaned down to give you a peck on the cheek. "Tell Santana I said hi."
You gave your partner a small smile. "I will." He gave you one last wave before taking off with Giorno to where the airport was.
