Pucci and Dio were now sitting outside of a grocery store. The former was dabbing away at his sweat with a handkerchief. The whole green baby thing was really having an effect on the priest's health.
"Hey... Pucci?"
Enrico turned his head toward the vampire, "Is something the matter?"
Dio watched as people entered and exited the shop. "I don't think so. Not yet, at least." He paused. He had seen the way Pucci looked at you and it irked him to no end. "You do recall that she's mine, right?"
Enrico eyed the vampire carefully, "I would never betray you, Dio. You know that." He avoided answering the actual question. He was sure it would anger his friend to learn how he truly felt. Especially when the person seeing through Dio's plan was supposed to be someone free of mortal desire.
The Brando narrowed his eyes at the priest, his doubts still there. "Yes, of course. I didn't mean to offend you." He tapped his fingers impatiently along the seat of the bench. "So... when are we going to go find my other sons?" He couldn't move very far without Pucci.
"If we stick to your plan, we should find them eventually. The gravity of fate will bring us all together, just as you always said."
Dio only responded with an affirmative hum, letting his mind wander to other things. If he could talk with the spider, Kiaria, perhaps he could convince her to help him out a little bit more. Maybe there was a way for him to essentially take over someone else's body by replacing their soul with his own. He had already stolen someone's body before, what harm would there be in doing that again? Since you liked Bruno so much, perhaps he would make for a decent fit.
A woman carrying a baby and a bag of groceries left the store, walking past the priest. Spotting the shiny, gold cross embedded into Pucci's hat, the child decided to try and grab it, causing the food to drop along with the packs of underwear the mom had stolen.
Before anything could hit the ground, Pucci put everything back in its place. He let out a few more heavy breaths, still not quite himself.
One of the employees, who had saw what happened, walked over, "Thank you, Father... But are you all right? You're sweating a lot."
"I'm all right... just tired is all." Pucci turned to the woman, "Is your child fine? He reached a hand toward her, his Stand unintentionally slipping out. It seemed to cause the hand on the mother's wristwatch to move at a faster pace. The fingernails on her hand had also grown around an inch longer. Pucci hurriedly pulled away, "E-Excuse me."
"Huh." Dio observed the situation with interest. "So this must be part of the new ability you're gaining."
"So it would seem... Already, Whitesnake is no longer my ability." Pucci walked over to the side of the road, raising a hand to hail over a taxi. One pulled up to a stop and the priest climbed into the back.
The driver leaned over the back of his seat, "Where to?"
Dio crossed one leg over the other, "Cape Canaveral, Kennedy Space Center. Make it quick."
The driver kept staring, waiting for a response, "Hello?"
Pucci cleared his throat, "Right." He had briefly forgotten that the driver wouldn't be able to see Dio. "Just take us to the Kennedy Space Center."
"Us?"
"I mean me. Just... me." And with that the cab got moving.
After driving for a while, the car came to a sudden stop.
The driver started fidgeting with the car's controls, "What the hell happened? I still have gas in this thing... weird..."
Pucci's eyes darted around, spotting so many threes it couldn't just be a coincidence.
