"Johnny, (Y/N)..." Gyro stared at the rocks ahead through a pair of theatre binoculars. "Have either of you ever seen an opera show?"

"I think so. Once or twice." But a lot of time had certainly passed since then.

"An opera?" Johnny had to recall what they even were. "Is that one of those music plays? Where they start singing out their situation when they could just say their lines? I've never seen one of those."

"Johnny... do you have something against musicals?" From what he had just said, you didn't strike him to be a fan of the concept.

"Hm?" Johnny tilted his head, "Do you know any that are actually good?"

You could hardly remember the shows you had seen advertised back in the late 1800s. "I don't know what's out right now, but uh... I hear there's some pretty good stuff in the works. The end goal is New York, though, right? When we get there, we could see what's on Broadway."

"Then let's try to reserve seats ahead of time or something." After all, the last time Johnny waited in line to see a play he had been shot in the back. "But I guess between the two of us, we'll be getting 1.5 million dollars, so we could probably do whatever the hell we want."

"Guys... it was just a simple question. You don't need to go making a date out of it..." Gyro wanted to continue with the joke he had been setting up.

"Should we invite Gyro to come with us?" Johnny's grin widened.

You played along, making a point of acting as though Gyro wasn't literally half a meter away from you. "I dunno. He feels like the kind of guy who'd talk through the whole thing."

"I can hear you, you know..." Grumbled Gyro, starting to raise his voice. "And if I wanted to see a musical, I'd see a damn musical. I don't need your invitation." He started picking up his pace.

You chuckled to yourself as you matched his speed. "So, why were you bringing up operas in the first place, Gyro?"

He let out a sigh, "Don't worry about it. It doesn't matter anymore."

"Okay, if you say so..." You turned back to the land ahead, taking in the view.

"Hey! That's Monument Valley!" Johnny was first to realize. "I bet we'll be able to see the goal in a couple of hours. Should we speed up?"

"No! This pace is fine..." Gyro looked through his opera glasses again. "We'll be in first no problem." As long as there weren't any more issues, the three of you would probably beat everyone else by at least half an hour.

A flock of birds flew overhead, a few of their feathers fluttering down.

Once you looked away from the scene you realized someone was missing. "Gyro?" You grabbed onto Valkyrie's reins, getting her to slow down with you.

"G-Gyro?!" Johnny looked around frantically, looking for a sign of the Italian. The only thing he spotted was a steel ball still spinning in the sand. "What happened?! (Y/N), did you see where he went?!"

"No, it was like he just disappeared. This must be the work of an enemy Stand." Once again, you had only looked away for a second when Valkyrie disappeared, too. All of Gyro's luggage fell onto the ground, the reins slipping from your grasp.

Johnny pulled a gun out of his bag, having gotten a new one since his last one broke. "Where are you, Gyro?! Answer me!" He fired at Gyro's canteen, only then realizing that the rest of the Zeppeli's stuff was gone, too. Before he could say much, he began to float upwards, getting pulled by something. "Whaaaat?!" His hand was cut up, getting him to drop his firearm.
