The next two weeks went by in a flash.

Most of it was spent getting to know the town better. There was a bit of trouble with being recognized at every corner. Although, Gyro especially didn't seem to mind the extra attention. Besides that, you had been trying to teach Johnny and Gyro Japanese. You wanted them to be able hold their own should they decide to spend a lot of time in Japan.

But now that the day had arrived where you would be beginning your travels to Italy, Johnny was seeing you both off near the docks.

"You two be safe, okay?" Johnny pulled you and Gyro into a tight hug. While he was still a little unsure of his decision to say, he did ultimately feel that taking a break from all the excitement would do him some good.

"What we're planning kind of contradicts that, but we'll try." Gyro gave a brief wave, pulling Valkyrie along behind him. It was necessary to bring your horses if you intended to use the special Spin in a fight.

"We'll be back before you know it." You smiled brightly at Johnny. You would miss having him around for the duration of this next little trip.

You and Gyro were about to board the boat when two men stopped you. Judging by the type of steel ball equipped at their hip, they were members of the royal guard.

"Hold it. Our orders were only to bring members of the Zeppeli family. That would be you, Gyro Zeppeli." One of the guards narrowed his eyes at you. "I'm afraid she will not be able to travel with you."

So it would seem Johnny wouldn't have had a chance to go even if he wanted to.

"What are you talking about?" Gyro certainly wished something of the sort would've been mentioned in the letter.

So you decided to come up with a quick plan.

You looped an arm around one of Gyro's and rested your head on his shoulder. "Don't be so hard on them, honey. They probably just haven't heard the news yet." You held out your left hand, showing Wamuu's lip ring around your ring finger. People had mistaken it for a wedding ring before, so you hoped the guards would make a similar error. "You're looking at (Y/N) Zeppeli right now."

"You're right, dear." Gyro had no issues following along. "We haven't made an official announcement yet, so it only makes sense that they wouldn't know." He turned back to the guards, "But as you can see, she is now also a member of the Zeppeli family. Would you really want to separate me from my wife?"

The guards stared at Gyro's hand. "Then where's your ring?"

"He's getting it resized. It ended up being a little too loose." You maintained your spot next to Gyro, making it clear that he wouldn't be going anywhere without you.

The guards really didn't feel like arguing. Asking you to go and retrieve a marriage certificate or something of the sort as proof would take too much time. And even if you were lying and happened to be planning something, they felt they were skilled enough to take you down if necessary.

So you and Gyro wound up spending the entire boat ride as a proclaimed married couple. Which, honestly, wasn't too difficult of a task, all things considered.

Upon arriving at the Kingdom of Naples, you were welcomed by a similar crowd to the one when you first made it to Morioh. They were clearly prideful of Gyro's victory in the race.

"Why don't I take you to go meet my parents?" Gyro offered up the idea, talking loud enough for the guards to hear. "It's only fair that my wife become acquainted with her in-laws."

"That sound like a splendid idea, honey. I'd love to!" You cheerfully replied. After mounting your horses you let him lead the way.

The royal guards hurried off in another direction, not wanting to spend another second around the lovey dovey couple. Further orders could be sent to the Zeppelis when the time came.
