At around 6 pm, the three of you decided to make camp for the night. The sun was setting along the horizon and there were only about 50 km to the next watering hole.

You gathered up what dried up twigs you could find and put them in a pile. Gyro then struck a match and tossed it in. The area became bathed in the orange glow of the campfire.

Johnny flipped himself off his horse and shimmied himself closer to the flames.

You walked over to one of your bags. Most of the luggage had been placed in a pile so the horses could get some rest, too. "I have a first aid kit, do any of you guys need to use it?" It was one of the many things Dire had packed for you. You had almost left it behind since you knew it wouldn't really be much use for yourself. But now that you were working with a team, you were glad you had kept it.

The three of you hadn't really stopped to rest at all after the fight with Mrs. Robinson since you were trying to make up for any lost time caused by the kerfuffle. Which meant their wounds were still very much untreated.

Johnny touched the cuts around his eye, "I guess it would be good to at least clean them a bit. Wouldn't want to get an infection or something..."

"(Y/N)." Gyro stood behind you, holding a hand out. "Give me the first aid kit." You obliged. "Now take a seat by the fire."

Now realizing what he wanted to do, you held up a hand in protest. "I'm fine, Gyro. I'll patch myself up later. You two got hit by way more needles than I did."

"Sure, but your ear was almost completely shot off." He couldn't leave you with a severed ear in good conscience, especially when he felt he could do a far better job of fixing it than you could. He doubted you had any medical experience. "Now take a seat." Gyro pointed to a spot on the ground.

You let out a sigh before sitting down next to Johnny. You hadn't made the wound heal up yet or anything, so you weren't worried about them or the referees in hot air balloons seeing a miraculously healed ear. All you had done was stop the bleeding. You had just wanted anyone who actually needed treatment to get it first.

Gyro had been a decent doctor back in Naples, so he had a pretty good idea of what he was doing. He talked to you as he fixed up your ear. "Do you get shot at a lot or something? Is that why you're so nonchalant about it?"

"I guess you could say that." You certainly wouldn't say it was an uncommon occurrence for someone to try and shoot you.

The Italian admired his handiwork for a second before pulling back. "There. All good. Was that so hard?"

You brought a hand up to your now bandaged ear. "Thanks..."

Gyro proceeded to clean up a few of his own cuts before tossing the first aid kit over to Johnny.

As Johnny fixed himself up, he decided to start a new conversation, mostly because he was just curious. "(Y/N), when you met me for the first time, you said I reminded you of someone. Who do I remind you of?"

"Well..." You figured it was fine to tell him. You just wouldn't get into any of that alternate universe business. "You just happen to have the same name as him: Jonathan Joestar. He lived in England, though."

Johnny stared at you a bit more intently, trying to figure out if he had ever seen you before the Steel Ball Run. "I was born and raised in Kentucky, but I actually lived in England for a few years. Do you think we met when we were younger?"

"Eh?" Gyro looked between you and Johnny. "Are you saying you guys are long lost childhood friends or something?"

You shook your head, "No, the Jonathan I knew had blue hair. And, well, he died a while ago."
