Shift in Gravity

"Here. Wait a sec. I can get us a better look at our surroundings." Emporio pulled a computer out of his little bag. He clicked on a few things until a map of the nearby area showed up on screen. "We have around thirty six hours until the new moon. I don't know what exactly Dio and the priest plan to do, but they probably plan to hide somewhere around here until then. Do you have any ideas about what this Heaven thing could be, (Y/N), now that you have all your memories back?"

"Well... Dio's diary mentioned something about gravity, I think. If they can get to the exact coordinates he listed during the new moon, that might allow Pucci's Stand to evolve or maybe Dio to materialize more or something." You shrugged. "This is mostly just speculation, though, so take it with a grain of salt."

You stopped talking for a second. Your hand felt heavier than usual. Taking a look at it for the first time since you woke up, you couldn't ignore the clunky ring on your finger. You glared at Anasui, speaking through gritted teeth. "What did you do with Wamuu's ring, Anasui?" Maybe you would kill him yourself after all.

"What do you... oh! How'd that get there?"Anasui feigned surprise as he opened his hand. "I must've taken it my accident. Haha... here." He gave it back. He didn't want you getting mad at him again. Especially not after how upset you were with his little Bruno dying joke test thing.

Emporio cleared his throat, "Anyway... the priest is probably going through the visitor center at the Space Station and then taking a tour bus to get where he needs to. But what's the plan? Should we wait for the Speedwagon Foundation to bring Jotaro over or do we keep pursuing the priest?"

"Oh, I didn't get the chance to tell you earlier, but Giorno is also on his way." Bruno spoke up. "Would you also want to wait for him to arrive?"

"No way in hell are we waiting for anyone to arrive." Anasui was especially wary of Giorno, still thinking you had something going on with him. "Plus, we don't even know if Jolyne's dad will arrive anyway. He's basically been in a coma for a few months. There's no way he's ready to fight. The priest is still wounded from our last battle with him, and he doesn't have anyone to help him besides Dio. The only definite thing about this situation is that everything will be over if we don't finish him off now."

"Hey, Bucciarati! Why the hell are you driving so weird?" Hermès took a look outside, seeing all the other cars zoom past while the car you were all in remained stationary. "You don't have some weird driving rules in Italy or something, do you?! You're not allowed to just park in the middle of a highway!"

"I know that." Bruno tried slamming his foot down on the gas pedal. "The engine is just stalling for some reason."

"Do you guys... see that...?" You couldn't help but notice the pebbles starting to roll out of the clouds of dust in front of you, followed by masses of people. Next were entire cars, rolling along the road. "Brace yourself! It's going to hit us!"

"What the fuck is going on?!" But Anasui's question would have to remain unanswered as Emporio's computer suddenly fell out of the car, breaking through the back window. "Just start the car again, Bucciarati! What the hell are you waiting for?!"

"I'm telling you, the car won't move!" Bruno raised his voice, trying to make sure Anasui could comprehend his words. "The car that had been next to us just suddenly flew backward. So whatever caused that must be what's causing our current predicament."

"Huh?" You started sliding up along the back of your seat. The one time you don't put a seatbelt on, some strange external force starts trying to pull you out of the car. You grabbed on to whatever you could, your hands being cut from the broken glass. "Guys... I don't know how to say this, but I think we're falling. Not down, but backwards. We might need to ditch the car."
