P.O.V/ Kim Austin:

About a week later, it's Friday, December 17, 1982; Winter break starts on the 20th and ends on the 31st, with school starting on Monday, January 3, 1983. I'm on my porch when I see Kelly pull up. I make sure I lock the door, and I walk down to the car. I open the door and get inside. She smiles at me and kisses me. She seems to be in a good mood, thank god. She drives us to school and pulls into the back parking lot. She parks her car by Shana's grey 1982 Toyota Supra. We get out of the car and close the doors. We walk around to the back of the car. Kelly looks at Shana's car and sarcastically says, " When will you get a new ride? That is embarrassing." Shana glares at Kelly, then says, " When you get a new attitude." Jacob snickers at Shana's comeback. Kelly said, " Freak". Shana said, " It takes one to know one". Kelly turned around, looking down at Shana, who is 5'2", the same height as me. Kelly said, " You're pushing it." Shana wasn't fazed as she had her arms crossed. She said, " Everyone else may be scared of you, Kelly. Still, I'm not,". Kelly said, " You should be." Shana focused her eyes on Kelly, trying to read her emotions. Kelly saw this and said, " Nice try bitch. You know you can't read me". Shana smirks at her and then goes to touch her shoulder. Kelly quickly dodges the touch She says, " Don't even think about it." Kelly has always been this way about Shana touching her and avoided it at all costs. It's because Kelly is a demon and doesn't want to be forced to feel human emotions. I get between them and said " Okay knock it off." Kelly said, " Tell her to keep her cooties to herself." Shana rolls her eyes at her comment. Kelly opens her trunk with her keys and pulls out her Polaroid Onestep white camera with a small rainbow under the lens. She closes the trunk. I said " When did you get a camera?" She said " A few days ago." Shana said with sarcasm " I'm surprised the lens hasn't broken after taking your picture." Kelly points the camera at Shana as she flips it off with the flash lighting up as it snaps the picture. The picture comes out, and Kelly takes it out, putting her middle finger on it and showing it to Shana. She said with sarcasm, " You're welcome." She tossed it at Shana, and it hit her in the shoulder, floating to the ground. Kelly laughs evilly as Jacob bends down, picking up the picture off the ground. They walk away, and Jacob slides the picture into his jacket pocket. They walk down the stairs that lead to the courtyard. I gave Kelly a look, and She said, " What?" hatefully. I said, " Why do you always have to be an asshole?" Kelly said, " She started it. I was only being honest. That car is ugly as hell". Ugh.. she is such a bitch. She hangs the camera around her neck by the black strap. She is wearing her blue jean jacket, sky blue button-up shirt, dark high-waisted blue jeans, and Adidas top tens. I'm wearing my blue jean jacket, a long-sleeve grey flannel with a bit of red and black mixed in, dark high-waisted blue jeans, and grey new balances.

Jane walks up to us, standing by me. She is wearing her black leather jacket, a black Kiss shirt with the band members on it, dark high-waisted blue jeans, and her black Converse Chuck Taylor's. I spot Jason and Kyle talking to Jacob and Shana across the parking lot. I see Kelly out of the corner of my eye and look over at her. Her eyes scan Jane's body, and she snaps a picture of Jane as she has the camera in her hands. She looks at Kelly as she smiles evilly, placing the picture in the back pocket of her blue jeans. Jane smiled sarcastically and said, " Aww, now you have something to jerk off to." Kelly smiles wickedly. I see a boy with dirty blonde hair approaching Jane from the left. She looks over at him as he smiles at her. He said, " Hi". Jane said, " Hey". He said, " My name is Darrell Peters". Kelly snickers at his last name. The name Peter is also slang for penis. Jane said, " My name is Jane Nelson". He smiles at her. Darrell said, " I couldn't help but notice you over here.. you're beautiful". Jane blushes, and Kelly makes a gagging noise about the mushiness. I nudge Kelly in the ribs, and she snickers evilly. Jane ignores her and tells Darrell, " Not bad yourself." Okay, I'm confused... Darrell said, " Maybe I'll see you around." He walked away, and Kelly said, " Fucking dweeb. did you really fall for that?" I see Jason looking over here, and he doesn't look too happy. I asked Jane, " What about Jason?" Jane said, " I'm not even sure if he actually wants to be with me." I know for a fact he does. Kelly says, " If he'd grow some balls and make a move, then you would know." Jane says, " I know he's been going through a lot with his mom passing, but I need to know.. and if he doesn't, then I should move on". I said, " Don't give up on Jason just yet.." Later on, we were walking the track after eating lunch when Jason caught up to me, Kelly, and Jane. He said to Jane, " Can we talk?" Jane said, " Sure." He took her hand and led her under the bleachers. Kyle walked up to Kelly, and She said to him, " Have you found it?" I said, " Found what?" Kelly looked at me and said, " My camera went "mysteriously," missing from my locker." Kyle said, " I told you Shana didn't take it." Kelly is looking at Patrick walking the track with Natalie, Ashley, Sara and a new girl named Melissa Whitaker. Kelly said, " I bet that prick took it. Come on." Kelly and Kyle walked down the track. I couldn't help but quietly walk over to the bleachers and peek at Jason and Jane, talking heatedly, but I didn't hear what was said. Jason grabs Jane's face and pulls her into a passionate kiss that takes her by surprise as she kisses him back. He looked down at her and said, " I really do want to be your boyfriend, Jane, but I just want to take things slow if that's okay with you." Jane said, " Of course it is.. I'm sorry if I seemed pushy, but I really didn't know if you wanted to be with me". Jane spots me and blushes. Jason looks over at me as I walk under the bleachers with them. Jason said, " Sneaky little midget, aren't you?" He laughed as I playfully pushed him in the shoulder. Jane asked Jason, " How did you know about Darrell?" He said, " I overheard you in the parking lot this morning, plus I heard you and Kim talking about it in gym class, and I overheard something else." Jane and I laugh nervously I watch as Jane plays with her friendship necklace that has a piece of a heart on it I'm wearing the other half. I said, " What did you hear?" Jason looked at the entrance under the bleachers and then back down at us. He said, " That you two had sex". I feel my heart sink. Jane is so stunned. I said, " You have to promise not to tell anyone, especially Kelly." Jane said, " Jason, I'm not gay, I promise.. I just wanted to experiment, and I was comfortable doing it with Kim". Jason said, " It's okay, relax.. I'm not mad, and I promise I won't tell anyone". We sigh in relief. Jane said, " So you understand?" He said, " Yeah.. too bad I didn't get to see it though". I feel my face blush, and Jane playfully smacks him in the arm. He said, " Come on, that's hot". Jane is blushing as she looks at me. She said, " Boys." as she rolled her eyes playfully. Jason smiles at her. Jane gave me that look, and I knew what she meant. I look back at the entrance and then back at her. Jane touches my face and pulls me into a soft kiss. I see Jason out of the corner of my eye, his jaw-dropping, as she kisses me. We pull away and start laughing as we look at him. Jason said, " Whoa, ladies, I didn't even ask, but I'm okay with it." Jane said, " You wanted to, though." Jason said, " I just didn't want to step over a line." Jane said to Jason, " You're just lucky Kim is hot." I feel my face blush again, and Jason looks at me. He winked at me and said, " You hear that? She thinks you're hot. That's why you got lucky". Jane blushes as he smiles at her. We walk out from under the bleachers and find Patrick being chased by Kyle down the track, who is trying to keep up with him as Patrick laughs wickedly. We are standing on the track watching. Patrick isn't paying attention, and he keeps looking back at Kyle. Kelly comes around the left side of the bleachers on the other end of the track. Right when he gets close, she throws her arm out, clotheslining him in the throat with her arm. He falls to the ground, coughing as she snatches her camera. He is holding his throat as he lays there on the ground. We are now standing behind him as he gets up. Patrick said, " Bitch". Kelly bucks at him, and he runs back to the girls down the track. Kelly says, " Pussy". We are all giggling at what Kelly did because it was pretty funny. After school, Kelly drives me, Jane, Jason, and Kyle down to Edgewood Park. Kelly has her car parked on the hill in front of the abandoned library; we are all sitting on a huge rock. We are by the one that Kelly landed on when Brian attacked her on the hill. Kelly returned her camera to the trunk after getting it from Patrick at school. Kelly is sitting on the rock with Kyle on the left side of her and me on the right side. Jane is sitting by me with Jason beside her. Kyle and Kelly make out as Jane, Jason, and I sit there. Jane said, " I'm surprised the three of you haven't had a three-way yet." Jason snickers. Kelly stops kissing Kyle and looks over at Jane. She said, " I don't like to share my men". But she likes to share with me. She wanted a threesome between me, her, and Jane; Jane nodded in agreement about not sharing. Kyle said to Kelly, " So if I was a girl, then you would share me?" Kelly looked at him and said, " Depends on the girl." She looked over at me with a look. I spot Darrell walking down the hill from the road in front of the abandoned library. Darrell walks up, standing in front of Jane. He said, " Hey, beautiful". I see Jason's facial expression change. Jane is like kill me now. She said, " Darrell, about earlier." He said, " What about earlier?" Kelly interrupted, " She didn't mean any of it." Jane said without looking at her, " Shut the fuck up, Kelly." She stands up, looking up at Darrell, who is confused. He said, " I thought you liked me?" Jane said, " Darrell, you seem like a nice guy, and I meant what I said, but I didn't want to date you." Darrell said, " Why not?" he is getting angry. Jane said, " Because I have a boyfriend now. We became a thing a little while ago". Darrell said as he looked at Kyle and Jason," So which one is your boyfriend?" Jason stood beside Jane and put his arm around her. He said, " I am.. so why don't you just move along, pal, no hard feelings". Darrell is pissed as he looks at Jason. They are the same height and about the same weight. Jason is 5"8' and weighs about 160. Darrell gets closer and says, " No hard feelings? that bitch played me,". Jason said, " Don't call her that,." Darrell said, " I meant whore!" Jason shoved him back and said, " Get the hell out of here! right now, I promise you will regret it if you don't!" Darrell isn't fazed. He said, " She's gonna regret playing me." Darrell storms off, kicking a broken tree branch on the ground in anger. Jason turns around looking down at Jane. He said as he put his hands on her shoulders " Are you okay?" Jane said " I'm so stupid... I shouldn't have flirted with him". I said, " You made a mistake. It's okay,". Jason said to her, " I'm not mad at you, I promise." Jane said, " Are you sure? I just feel bad". He said, " Don't.. he'll get over it".
