 P.O.V/ Kim Austin:

One Month Later.

It's been a month since Heather used one of those beetles on Mandi. She programmed it to crawl inside Mandi's body while she was sleeping and it slowly traveled to her brain where it latched onto her Cerebrum from there it was able to take control of her body which meant her Speech, Movements, Intelligence, Emotions and what she sees and hears. The beetle was able to send signals to Mandi's Frontal lobes where the brain's emotion and personality are located and this is how Amanda was freed from her prison. This explains why Mandi hates her first name. She said that Amanda first appeared when she was eight years old and that over time she learned to suppress her but sometimes she broke through Mandi was able to quickly gain control and stop her from taking over. So when Kevyn possessed Kelly they were able to battle Amanda and when Kevyn jumped inside Mandi's body it made the beetle come out. It's Tuesday, September 1, 1987; It's a short day and I'm in Economics with Kat, Kelly, and Mandi. Our Professor is a male. He is an older white man in his early forties so he is between Debby and Austin's age. He has a Patrick Swayze haircut like the one he has in that new movie Dirty Dancing that came out last month. Me, Jane, Kelly, and Mandi all went to see it at the drive-in because you know we all love Patrick Swayze. But Professor Grim is no Patrick Swayze. He's short, reserved and he's a bit strict. A few weeks ago a Frat boy came in wasted and thought Professor Grim wouldn't notice but he did and scolded him then he sent him to the Dean. Dean Thomas suspended the Frat boy for a few months and had him arrested for Public Intoxication. Speaking of Dean Thomas he was at Peterson Hospital where my Mom, Debby, and Terri work. Mom was there working her shift and he kept flirting with her she ignored him for a while but he kept on. She had enough and told him to stop that she is married. She said that he just smiled evilly as he looked at her ID badge on her navy blue scrubs that says Annette Austin RN under her name it says ER Nurse. She said that he admitted that he always thought she was beautiful but felt like she was too young for him back then hinting that he remembers her when they were young because he was one of Austin's best friends. Mom said that she remembered who he was the minute she saw him. She said that John had always given her the creeps. It makes me sick that he hit on Mom. I don't want Dean Thomas to become fixated on her. We have enough Psycho stalkers like Maria who likes Debby, Victoria who likes Terri and Heather who is head over hills in love with me. That's the last thing I need is for him to become obsessed with Mom cause I will never feel like she's safe cause when he attacked me in the library I had a hard time because he is much bigger and stronger than me. I'd never forgive myself if he ever hurt her... I'm sitting here in the first desk of the first row with Kat beside me in the second row. Kelly is sitting behind me and Mandi is sitting behind Kat. Professor Grim is sitting at his desk writing on a piece of paper. He says " Miss Austin?" I looked up at him and He said " Could you please take this to Dean Thomas?" I get up from the desk and walk over to the desk. He handed me a folded-up piece of paper and said " Thank you". I said, " You're Welcome". As I walk by the desks Kelly, Mandi, and Kat all are looking at me. I walk out the door and turn right down the hallway. I walk down from the fourth floor to the stairs that lead to the third floor of Avery Hall. I make it to the first floor where the double doors are and walk out to the courtyard. I'm wearing a Wrangler blue jean jacket, a black t-shirt that says Guns and Roses Appetite for Destruction from their latest album, a black Suede leather belt, a pair of high-waisted Guess blue jeans, and a pair of grey, black, and white Nike Windrunners. I make my way to the office building and walk through the front of the office and down the hallway to The Dean's office. I knock on the door and I hear him say inside " Come in". I open the door and the smell of a Menthol cigarette smacks me in the face. I make a disgusted face cause I hate the smell of Menthols. Dean Thomas is standing at the window with it open as he puffs on his cigarette. He looks over at me and smiles evilly. He puts it out in the ashtray on the wooden dresser in front of the window. He said in a fake polite voice " Miss Austin how may I help you?" I gave him a sarcastic look as I layed the note down on the desk. I said, " It's from Professor Grim". I turn to go out and He says " Say hello to your Mother for me". I stop and look back at him. I said in a stern voice " Stay the fuck away from her". He smiles evilly and then said " Now is that any way to speak your Dean, Kimberly?" I said, " Go fuck yourself, you demonic bastard". As I walk out I slam the door shut and walk down the hallway. He could write me up or suspend me but I don't care. Later on that day, I'm headed to the Student Union to meet Kyle and the others for lunch. As I'm walking down the steps I spot a flash of red in the sky. I'm walking to the bridge I look up and I see the flash of red and black in the sky. I stop and I watch the sky and it happens again. That means the rifts to Hell have been opened. But I watched Kelly seal that one close after she and Kevyn vanquished Azren if he's dead how are they opened? As I start walking across the bridge I hear a faint cackle. I stop walking and look back but nothing is there. I continue walking and I hear the cackle again but this time it's louder. I spin around doing a high roundhouse kick and I kick one of Azren's minions in the head. The demon exclaims as he falls to the ground on his back. It's those from Jesse's third birthday a few years ago when I was fifteen and with Kelly. It's a demon with full demonic features horns, talons, and red skin. He growls as he jumps to his feet staring me down with his red eyes. I look around and nobody is around. The demon is snarling at me like a wild animal. He spoke in his demonic voice " I'm gonna split you in two!" he swiped his sharp talons at me and I dodged them. I swing my fist using my telekinetic strike to uppercut him in the chin. He exclaims as he flies high into the air. I quickly toss my backpack down and float high into the air using my telekinetic flight to meet him in the air. I grab his shoulders and quickly flip him forward. While still using my telekinetic flight I quickly descend to the ground and use my telekinetic speed and telekinetic strength to powerbomb him into the concrete and he explodes into flames on impact blood sprays on my face. I groan in disgust as feel it on my face I look around nobody is around still. I picked up my backpack and quickly took off walking down the bridge I went straight to the bathroom to wash off the blood. I hear the door open and I look up at Kelly walking in. She saw the blood on my face and said as she giggled " What did one lesbian vampire say to the other?" I gave her a look cause I got blood on my face and She said " Same time next month?" I gave her a grossed out face as she cackles evilly. I said as I giggled " That's disgusting". Kelly said, " So what did you kill? 'cause it was extra juicy". She snickers. I have the water on washing my face off I turn it off and pull a paper towel out of the dispenser. I dried my face and as I dried my hands I said " It was one of Azren's minions". Kelly just stared at me then She said " Are you sure it was one of them?" I said, " Yeah he remembered me somehow". Kelly said " But I sealed the main rift after I killed Azren how could the other rifts be open if I sealed the main one?" I said, " I don't know but that's the only way the demon could have gotten out". Kelly had this look in her eyes and I said " What is it?" Kelly said, " That means they're back in Hell". I said " Who?" Kelly said " The Devil's minions". I said " I thought you said the devil has been gone since before humans?" Kelly said, " He is but he left behind his minions who are more powerful and nastier". I said with sarcasm " That's great". Kelly said, " They have no reason to surface on Earth so we should be fine". Before we walked out she stared at me briefly then walked out with me following her. We went through the line and got our lunch we walked over to a table and sat down. She sat down across from me like always. We sat there and talked until Kyle and the others showed up and sat down with us. Kyle sits down and I lean over giving him a soft kiss as he smiles into it kissing me back. It's me, Kyle, Jane, Jason, Kelly, Mandi, Shana, Jacob, Ashley and Natalie. Ashley is about to graduate this summer after two years. Natalie still has one more year left then she's graduating so is Kelly, Mandi, and Jane. But Jane is coming back to earn her Master's Degree in Nursing which will take two years. Today is Jacob's Twentieth birthday normally he would have a party but he's so busy with his classes and homework that he doesn't have time to celebrate today. He and Shana celebrated yesterday for his birthday. Usually, we have a mission today but there's not one. After lunch Kyle and I drove home to hang out for the rest of the day. We ate some Pizza later that night we had delivered from Pizza Hut and had a couple of beers while we watched movies in the living room. We watched The Monster Squad, Beverly Hills Cop II, and Full Metal Jacket. After Full Metal Jacket, we were buzzed and we got busy making out on the couch.
