Chapter 39

P.O.V/ Kim Austin:

It's Thursday February 14, 1985; Kelly just turned eighteen on the seventh of this month so now she's an adult but she sure doesn't act like one. It's like as each day passes she gets worse and I'm sick of begging her to change so I have stopped and when a girl is silent is when you should worry but Kelly doesn't care she doesn't care about anyone but herself. Yesterday after school we were all at The Time Out deli eating when a girl at a table with her friends kept watching Kyle and when Kyle got up the girl spoke to him and flirted. Kyle didn't flirt back but was nice and talked to her and Kelly got pissed when she heard the girl ask if Kyle wanted her phone number. To be honest I felt a little jealous myself but I wouldn't have reacted like Kelly did. She got up and stormed over the table shoving Kyle to the side and began cussing and threatening the girl. Kelly takes the girl's soda and dumps it on her head then proceeds to flip the table making all their food fall to the floor. The owner yelled at Kelly and them to leave and we all got up and walked outside. Kelly and Kyle get into a screaming match outside in the parking lot as she kept shoving him in anger. Jason and Jane had left after walking out along with the girls. It was me, Kelly and Kyle in the parking lot. I get in between them and tell Kelly to stop pushing him and to calm down. This gets me hit, Kelly backhanded me so hard it knocked me to the ground on my side. I instantly felt the inside of my mouth fill up with blood as I spit out on the ground. Kyle got really pissed off and screamed at Kelly telling her not to ever touch me again then he helped me up. Kelly was still running her mouth and I lost it.. I swung my fist hitting her square in the nose and it busted all over the place. Then I tackled her to the ground and got on top of her and just started hitting her over and over in the face until Kyle pulled me off of her. Kelly just laughed wickedly as she got up her nose poured blood to the ground. I screamed at her that I hated her and to stay the hell away from me. I stormed off to my car as Kyle followed me. Kelly flipped us off and got in her car speeding away. Kyle followed me home and my parents weren't there cause they were at work. We went inside and up to the bathroom to clean up. Kyle got me a rag out the bathroom closet and wet in the sink then gently cleaned the blood off my mouth as he stared at me with desire. I realized there was blood on my shirt and I took off my dark blue jean jacket then the shirt as Kyle stared at me I tossed it in the laundry hamper and he went into my room getting me a shirt out of my closet. Since then Kelly has been messaging me and Kyle on our beepers and we have both ignored her. 

 I just got done getting ready for school; I put my dark blue jean jacket, a dark grey t-shirt that says Tears for Fears an 80's band, a pair of dark high waisted Lee blue jeans and my black and white Vans. I walk down stairs and pick up my backpack off the couch and my keys off the side table. I pet Zeke on the head as he lays on the couch he was thrown by either Ashley or Natalie that day and sprained his paw but he's fine now. I walk out the front door and close it behind me I lock it and walk down to my car and get inside. After getting it started I'm driving down Woodland Avenue on my way to school. I stop at the red light and see Kyle's red 1972 Plymouth Barracuda pull up behind me I smile in the rearview mirror at him. We arrive at school and pull into parking spots beside each other. We get out after shutting off our cars and walk around to the back of my car. Kyle is wearing his black colored blue jean jacket, a green t-shirt that says Mountain Dew, a pair of dark wash Guess jeans for men and his grey and white Nike Mac attacks. I can't help but check out his butt in those jeans he smiles at me as he catches me. Kyle said " So have you heard from Kelly this morning?" I said " Yeah she keeps apologizing". Kyle said " Yeah she apologized to me too it's starting to get old especially when she doesn't change". I said " I couldn't agree more". Our beepers make a noise from our pockets and we pull them out looking at them. I said to Kyle " She wants us to meet her in the trails". Kyle has a tense look in his eyes, I put my hand on his arm and said to comfort him " It's gonna be okay I promise". Kyle said as he looked guilty " You got hit because of me Kim... and I don't want her to do that again". I said " I will always take up for you Kyle no matter what... You are worth getting hit over".. Kyle has a guilty look in his eyes he looks at the ground and composes himself cause we hear Kelly's car pulling in. We look over and see her parking it a few cars down. She gets out closing the door walking around to her trunk. She's wearing her dark wash Levi blue jean jacket, a navy blue t-shirt that says Alice Cooper school's out forever there is a red heart with a dagger through it, a pair of dark high waisted Jordache blue jeans and her black Doc Marten boots. She is smoking a joint as she opens the trunk while a guy and girl wait. She gives them a bag of weed and they give her money. She closes the trunk and starts walking over to us as she puffs on the joint. Kyle said to her " Kelly? are you mental? put that out before a teacher walks out". She blows out the smoke then said " I don't give a shit". I said " Well we do". She ashes the joint infront of us then said as she looked at both of us " Of course you do Joanie and Chachi". She said with sarcasm. She said " Come on follow me". We follow her deep into the woods were the trails are. Kyle and I stand with our backs to a huge oak tree as she stands infront of us. She hits the joint and hands it to Kyle. She said to him " I'm a bitch okay?" I said with sarcasm " Oh really?" Kelly flips me off and said to Kyle " I didn't mean to lose my temper yesterday. I tried I really did but she knew we were dating and still flirted with you right infront of me". Kyle said " We didn't even know her Kelly". He hands the joint to me and I take a hit. Kelly said " She use to be my friend in middle school her name is Laura. before I got with you but she stole this guy I liked and has always be in competition with me since then". That makes sense why she was so pissed but she still shouldn't have acted like that. Kyle said " I think Kim is the one you need to apologize to more". Kelly just gives Kyle a look then she looks at me. She said " I'm sorry Kim". Kyle said " Don't ever hit her like that again Kelly". She said " I didn't mean too". He said " I'm mean it Kelly. You hit me too sometimes and enough is enough if you keep doing it we're done and I'm not looking back". She looks at the ground as her eyes tear up. She said as she looked at the ground " I'm pushing you two away from me like I've always done anyone".. Kyle hits the joint and puts his other hand on Kelly's chin pulling her face up as he blows the smoke in her mouth and she sucks the smoke in taking the shotgun. Afterwards he kisses her and I can't help but feel a little jealous wishing he was kissing me. As they kiss I feel a hand on my belt I look down and see Kyle's hand he is looking out the corner of his eye as he pulls me closer to them by my belt. He let's go of me before Kelly opens her eyes I start unbuckling Kelly's belt and she pulls away from the kiss with Kyle. She said " Damn.. I love it when you both attack me". she said with a wink. Kyle puts Kelly's back against the tree as we are both standing infront of her. He gets down on his knees then unbuttons Kelly's blue jeans pulling down the zipper. He reaches in her navy blue laced panties and starts rubbing her clit softly as she moans quietly. She has her eyes closed enjoying the feeling. Kyle is staring up at both of us he points his head towards her motioning for me to do something to her. I move her hair off her left shoulder revealing her neck. I start kissing on her neck softly and she groans quietly in pleasure. Kelly turns her head to me and kisses me passionately. As I kiss her back I reach down and place my hand of the back of Kyle's head easily pushing him to Kelly and he start running his tongue across her clit softly.
