Chapter 100

P.O.V/ Kim Austin:

One Month Later..

It's been a month since we found out Macy was a demon. She is half-human and half-demon like Kelly. Her powers are strong, but she's no match for Kelly. She's definitely gonna be a problem now. I knew something wasn't right about Macy from the get-go, but I brushed off my suspicions because I wanted Dakota to be happy, and she was happy at first until Macy started showing her true colors. With her being another powerful demon, I can't help but flash back to Heather in College. She was more of a problem because not only was she intelligent, but she was also more powerful than Kelly, and that's saying something. John, Heather's father, was also as strong as her, and we banished him five years ago in 1990. Things have been calm since then. Diana just found out she was pregnant last month, and Mason proposed to her, and she said yes. Jesse's due date for Sam and Riley is February 23rd; She is going into labor any day now. Since Debby used her powers to save Terri and Jesse, she banished Kelly to Purgatory. She has been more interested in learning about her lineage. After Jane using her power of Projection to send us to Purgatory accidently. She realizes she is as powerful as Debby, and now that Taylor and Eric are born, it adds to their powerful family line of magic. I'm a powerful witch, and so are Mom and Grandmom, but against Debby and Jane, we would have a hard time. We would put up a hell of a fight, but ultimately, they would win. I've never battled Jane with our powers, and to be honest, I'm not sure if I can take her after seeing her powers do that. Today is Monday, February 20, 1995; I'm at work and down at that other Café with K.J. and Dakota. It's in the courtyard of the Skyscraper building where Kelly works. Since the manager made us leave from the one Macy works at, we haven't returned. Dakota seems better, but I can tell she's a little down now that she is single again. I have noticed that K.J. seems to like her. They have been flirting lately, but Dakota isn't ready to date again. Dakota's cell phone starts ringing, and she reaches down and pulls it out of her bag. She looked at it and said, " I need to take this.. I'll be back". She gets up, opens the cell phone, and walks across the courtyard. As she does, K.J. is smiling and watching her. I'm looking at K.J.; She looks at me and then blushes. I said with a smile. " You like Dakota, don't you?" K.J. said as she smiled. " Maybe.. is that weird for you?" I smiled and said, " Not at all.." K.J. said, " I just didn't want it to be weird because she's your Ex". I said, " I promise it's not, and you're not like Macy, so you know that we don't have feelings for each other anymore." K.J. looked down at the table and then at me. She said, " After what happened with Macy.. I'd say she's not wanting to date anytime soon". I said, " Give her time.. and she'll come around.. do you think she's into you?" K.J. said, " I'm not sure.. I've liked her since the first time I saw her at East Town Mall back then". With a playful smile, I said, " I see you liked my girlfriend back then." K.J. blushed and said, " I actually liked both of you. Then I saw her kiss you after I flirted with you, and I realized you two were dating". I smiled as she continued to blush. She said, " I crushed on both of you for a few months until I started dating this guy named Liam.. I dated him until Senior year, and we broke up because he was moving to Washington". I said, "Long-distance relationships suck." She said, " Yeah, they do.. you're not gonna tell Dakota I like her, are you?" She said with a playful smile. I smiled and then said, " I promise I won't tell her." K.J. said, " I don't want to rush her.. and if she's not interested, I'll back off". Dakota walks back over to the table and sits down. I look at K.J., and she blushes. A male waiter walks up. He is about the same age as K.J. He smiles at her. We are looking at the menus. He said, " What can I get you?" K.J. said, " I'll have the turkey sandwich with a small bag of plain chips." I said, " I'll have the ham salad with ranch and a small bag of Cool Ranch Doritos." Dakota said, " I'll have the turkey sub with a bag of BBQ chips." He wrote that down on his small pad of paper. He said, " What to drink?" K.J. said, " I'll take a can of Dr. Pepper." I said, " I'll have a can of Wild Cherry Pepsi." Dakota said, " I'll have a bottle of Mountain Dew." He wrote that down and said with a smile, " I'll have that out here soon." He gives K.J. a smile as he walks away. Dakota looks at her. She says: " He was totally flirting with you." K.J. smiles and says, " I didn't notice." Dakota says with a smile," He noticed you... How could he not?" K.J. was blushing as she looked at Dakota. K.J. is a beautiful woman. She grinned as she looked at Dakota, " How could anyone not notice you? I mean, look at you.. you're gorgeous.. Halle Berry". We laugh as Dakota blushes at the compliment. We hear a voice say, " I'll give her that Cooper is a looker." Our laughter stops as we look up at Kelly in her work outfit. Kelly put her hands on the table and said to Dakota, " Maybe I can teach you a thing or two." She said with a wink, hinting at something sexual. Dakota scoffed and said with an attitude, " I would never let you touch me." Kelly looked at K.J. and said, " What about you, beautiful?" K.J. said with an attitude, " Sorry, I'm allergic to bitches". We bust out giggling as Kelly glares at her. She took her hands off the table and said with an attitude, "You're lost." I said with attitude, " Get out of here, Kelly." She started to walk away and turned back. She bends down by Dakota's ear as she uncomfortably moves back a little. Kelly said softly, " By the way.. Macy is a wild cat in the sheets". She raises up and smiles down at Dakota, then walks away. Dakota rolls her eyes as she looks back at Kelly walking to the building. She looked back at us and said, " I had a feeling they slept together.." The waiter brought out our food, and we ate and talked more. After our break, we paid for our food and returned to the office. Around 4:30 pm, Debby's Mom, Ellen, appears standing in front of my desk. Ellen became an alcoholic in 1955 after Debby's Dad, Glen, passed away when she was ten. Then, eleven years later, in 1966, when Debby was twenty-one, Ellen died at the age of forty-one from Cirrhosis of the liver from drinking very heavily. Ellen and Glen have visited Debby, Jane, Taylor, and Eric. Ellen is 5'10" and she weighs 170 lbs. She has short brown hair that lays on her shoulders with curly ends. Her eyes are the same color as Debby's gunmetal blue. Debby favors her Mom a lot. But when I look at Ellen, I also see Jane. Ellen said, "Debby wanted me to ask if you could meet her at the library after work?" I looked around and then back at her. I whispered, " Yeah, sure.. I need to go home and change my clothes, then I'll be there". Ellen said, " Okay, I'll tell her." She disappeared into thin air. Seeing someone gone since 1966 is twenty-nine years ago, is weird. Ellen is still forty-one physically, but her real age is seventy. At 5:15 pm, I left the office and drove home to change clothes. Kyle is at work and will be home later. I walked in and fed Lance, then went upstairs to change clothes. I left the house and drove to the library in Fountain City, about ten minutes from Debby and Jack's house. It's Me, Mom, Debby, Terri, and Jane at the computers looking through the archives for Debby's past family members Ellen is here too but she's see-through and is sitting next to Debby in what appears to be an empty chair. Mom is sitting beside me to the right. She said quietly, " That guy, Todd, works at the hospital now as a custodian." Todd is Kat's friend, and he was at a party with us at James and Kat's house back in 1987 where he flirted with Mom. I said quietly, " Kat said he moved to Kentucky in 1988". Mom said quietly, " He's been flirting with me a little.. he asked me out Friday". She said as she blushed a little. I smiled and said quietly, " What did you say?" She said quietly, " I told him that I lost your Dad in 1991 and that I'm not sure if I'm ready to date anyone". I said quietly, " Dad would want you to be happy, Mom." She had a sad expression and then said quietly, " I still love your Dad." I said quietly, " And that's okay.. you'll know if you're ready". I gave her a smile, and she smiled back at me.
