Chapter 18

P.O.V/ Kim Austin:

It's three weeks into April. Last time, Ashley, Natalie, and Tiffany attacked us, and Tiffany ended up using a potion that sent all of us back in time to August 5, 1964. Mom was fourteen, Austin was seventeen, and Debby was nineteen. I even got to see my grandparents in their early thirties and my dad at fourteen. Kelly and Austin ended up in his childhood house, where Darla was at seventeen. She walked into Austin's room and found Kelly dressed in '80s clothes. But being Darla, she pulled out her Stiletto knife, threatening to kill Kelly, but they eventually convinced her that they weren't from that time, and she believed them. We barely made it home because Ashley, Natalie, and Tiffany hijacked our reversal spell by taking teen Darla hostage. They made us cast the spell and drink the potions, sending them back with us. When we woke up in 1983, they were there with Teen Darla. Darla gets free from Ashley by stabbing her, and Kelly helps Darla fight them until Natalie teleports them out.

Mom was shot in the leg, so we had to take her to the hospital, where the bullet was removed. It took about two weeks for it to heal. I had my cast removed on March 28th, and my wrist is completely healed, but it still feels a bit strange. Today is Friday, April 15, 1983. My birthday is Monday, and I'm excited to spend it with my parents, Kelly, Kyle, Jason, and Jane. My parents both took my birthday off, but they have to work the next day, so we're going to have a party at the house with friends and family. I'm on the porch, locking the door, when I hear Kelly's car pulling up in front of my home. I turn around and start walking down there. I walk in front of the vehicle and to the passenger side. I open the door and get inside, closing it. Kelly said as she looked at me, " Hello, beautiful. " She winked at me and leaned over, kissing me softly as I kissed her back. I put my seatbelt on, and she shifts into drive and pulls off, heading down the road. Kelly said as she drove, " So what are you doing for your birthday?" I said, " My parents got that day off, so they are having me a party at the house, but they have to work the next day". Kelly said, "Cool, I'll be there to bend you over my knee." I blushed and said, "Not in front of my parents." Kelly said, " Of course not... besides, they don't want to see what I'm gonna do to you". She winks at me as I smile with my face blushing. She pulls up the hill by the hospital and turns right into the back parking lot. She spots a black 1983 Ford Mustang GT with small silver rims. I said, " What is it?" She pulled into an empty spot and stopped the car. She said " Nothing". Not looking at me, but I know better. She turns off the car and pulls the keys out, putting them in the pocket of her blue jean jacket. We open the doors and get out, then shut them and walk around to the back of the car.

Kelly is wearing her blue jean jacket, a black t-shirt that says "Kiss," a pair of dark, high-waisted blue jeans, and her white and blue Adidas top ten. I'm wearing my blue jean jacket, a plain black T-shirt, a pair of dark, high-waisted blue jeans, and my black Nike Pegasus. Soon Jane comes walking up and stands in front of us. She's wearing her black leather jacket, her black AC/DC high-voltage shirt, a pair of dark, high-waisted blue jeans, and her black low-top Chuck Taylors. Roy's truck pulls up, and Kyle and Jason both get out and walk over to us as Roy drives off, waving at us. Kyle is wearing his black colored blue jean jacket, a plain white t-shirt, a pair of dark blue Carpenter blue jeans, and his black Nike Cortez. Jason is wearing his black leather jacket, a black tank top, a pair of dark blue Wrangler jeans, and his black steel-toed boots.

I spot a girl about fifteen or sixteen walking down the parking lot. She is very short, at least 4'11", and weighs at least 115 cause she is skinny. Her hair is black with curly ends, her eyes are dark blue like a sapphire, she's wearing a cropped blue jean jacket, a white cropped tank top that is showing a lot of cleavage I can see between her boobs, a very short blue jean skirt that is high-waisted and pleated, and a pair of black leather fringe boots. She is looking at a white paper, most likely her schedule. She stops dead in her tracks as she spots Kelly. She grins then says, "Kelly?" She looks over at her, and Kelly's ocean-blue eyes widen; she says under her breath, "Oh shit." The girl comes running over and jumps into Kelly's arms as she catches her suddenly. Who is this bitch?? She holds onto Kelly's neck as she looks up at her. Kelly sits her down on the ground, looking down at her. She comes to Kelly's chest. The girl said as she looked up at her, "It's so great to see you." Kelly said begrudgingly, " You too". Her eyes scan Kelly's body, and she says, "You look great, by the way." She winks at her. Kelly said, "Mandi, what are you doing here?" Mandi said, "I moved back to Tennessee, silly." I sense they were more than just friends. Jane cleared her throat, and Kelly said, "Guys, this is Mandi. Mandi, these are my friends Kim, Jason, and Jane, and you know Kyle, my boyfriend." Mandi smiled friendly at us and said to Kelly, " I didn't think you'd still be dating Kyle". Kelly said, "We have been for three years now." Kyle smiled and said, " Hey, Mandi". She said quietly, "Do they know?" Kelly said, "Know what?" Mandi said quietly, "About us." Kelly said, "Do you want them to know?" Mandi said, "I trust them, I'm sure they know about you." Kelly said, " Fine.. Mandi is my ex-girlfriend from eighth grade". Jane said, " Your first girlfriend?" Kelly said, " Yeah, I was with her before Kyle, then I started dating both of them". Mandi said as she giggled, " So do you have a girlfriend now?" Kelly looked at me, then said, " Yeah". Mandi said, " What's her name?" Kelly said, " I can't say." Mandi said, " Oh? Is she closeted?" Kelly said, " Yeah, her parents don't even know". Mandi said, "Well, it was great seeing you." She kissed Kelly on the cheek, and I felt a pang of jealousy. Mandi said, " If things don't work out with you and her, you know my number". She winks at her as she walks away. I said " Nice girl". sarcastically. Jane said, " Her tits were hanging out, my mom would kick my ass if she saw me in that". I said, " Yeah, me too". Kelly can tell that I'm kind of annoyed by the girl's presence. She said to me, " She was a long time ago". I said, "So why did you guys break up?" Kelly said, "She moved away, and I'm pretty sure she cheated on me." We all walked down to the courtyard and entered through the doors, walking through the school's lobby. I walk up to my locker, and Kelly walks up to hers. I can feel her watching me as I pull out a textbook and a binder. I hear her locker door close and look over at her walking up to me. She takes my hand and walks me down to the girls' bathroom. We walk in, and I make my way over to the last sink, set my books down, and lean against the wall. Kelly sets her book down on the sink beside it. She walks up to me and says, "I didn't tell you about Mandi because I didn't think I had to." I said, " I would have liked to know you had an ex-girlfriend, especially one that still likes you". Kelly said, " She doesn't". I said, " Oh, bullshit, she was all over you and flirting with you, plus she kissed you on the cheek". She said, " Are you jealous?" I said, " No, I'm just protecting what's mine, but I think she's a little too friendly with you". Kelly said, " Do you want me to tell her about you?" I said, " As long as she doesn't out me". Kelly said, " Fine, I will... now cool down, firecracker". I don't want to smile at her, but I can't help it. She gets closer to me and puts her hands on my face. She said, " You're my girl, not her". I said, "I'd better be," as I smiled. She pulls me into a kiss, and I kiss her back. We stop kissing, and I look at her. I said, " So does she know what you are?" Kelly said, " Yes, she knows I'm a demon, but she is a witch, an evil one." I said sarcastically, " Then you two should have been perfect together". We hear the bathroom door open, and in walks Mandi. She saw us and said, " Hey". Kelly looks at me, and I give her a look. Kelly turns around as I stand behind her. Kelly said, "Mandi, there is something I need to tell you." She got an excited look in her eyes as she walked up to Kelly. She said, " Did you break up with your girlfriend?" I said, " No," as I glared at her. Kelly said, "Kim is my girlfriend, Mandi." She looks at me, and I smile sarcastically. She said, "Aww, she's so cute. " Kelly said, " You have to promise you won't tell about her sexuality". Mandi said, " I wouldn't want anyone to tell about mine either, I promise I won't". Kelly said, " Good". Kelly turns around and kisses me, and I see Mandi give me a dirty look as she is totally jealous. Kelly said to me, " I'll see you later, babe". Kelly picks up her book from the sink and walks out of the bathroom. Mandi laughs sarcastically and gets closer to me. She said as she looked up at me, " I'm gonna get Kelly back, and you better stay out of my way, blondie". I knew she was being fake. I said as I get closer, " I'd like to see you try poodle. Kelly doesn't love you anymore, she loves me, and if you lay a finger on her I'm gonna break your fucking hands.. got that bitch??" Mandi said, " You don't know her like I do when Kelly wants something she gets it". I scoffed and said, " Stop before you get yourself hurt". Mandi said, " Is that a threat, Kim?" I said sarcastically, " It's a friendly warning". I pick up my books, and as I pass by her, I bump her shoulder with my right one. The last bell of the day rings at 4:00 pm; I'm at my locker, putting up my books. I look over and Kelly isn't at her locker, probably running late, or, knowing her, she got into trouble. I close the door and put the lock back on. I walk down the hallway and pull out my beeper, sending Kelly 821, which means Where are you? I'm walking out the front doors of the school and down the sidewalk that leads into the middle of the courtyard. As I stand there waiting, Jane and Jason approach me. Jane notices Kelly isn't with me. She said, " Where's Kelly?" I said, " She probably got into trouble, knowing her". Jason said, " Well, she did give this kid named Jared a wedgie earlier, she may have gotten caught". Jane said, " Isn't Jared that one kid who reads comics?" Jason said, " Yeah, he's a pretty cool guy though". I said, " I'm sure she's coming". They walk down the sidewalk and down the side of the school; they are walking home together. I'm starting to get a bit annoyed. I look both ways and cross the street to the sidewalk with a set of steps leading up to the side of the gym. I walk up to them and walk around to the front of the gym building, but she isn't here. I look at the parking lot; it is pretty much empty, except for Kelly's car and a few others. I glance at the time on my watch, and it reads 4:17 pm. I faintly hear whispering coming from the right side of the building where the trail is. I walk to the corner and peek around. I see Mandi and Kelly kissing, and I feel my heart crack. Kelly is kissing her back... I quickly turn around with my back against the wall, and I hold my hand over my mouth as I start to cry. I hear footsteps moving fast, and I see Mandi storming across the parking lot. She gets in her car and starts it up. She floors it and peels out of the back parking lot. I walk around the corner and see Kelly standing there with her hands on the wall, her head down. She senses me there and looks over at me. She sees my face and says, " Kim." As she gets closer, I feel tears streaming down my face. I angrily slap her across the face, and her head turns. She looks back at me, and I go to walk off. She grabs me and puts my back to the wall I said " Let me go!!" I swat her in the chest repeatedly and She said " Will you just let me explain!?!" I said " Explain what?! you were kissing her"... Kelly said " She kissed me first!" I scoff and shove her back as I start walking off as she calls for me. She said, "Kim!" I ignored her and continued walking across the parking lot. I'm walking down the sidewalk by the school and the hospital. As I walk, I pull out my Walkman and my black pull-over headphones. I slide them on and turn on the music as I continue walking. I see Kelly's car pull up beside me and move slowly. I look over and she is talking, but I can't hear her because of the music. She is becoming increasingly annoyed as she continues to follow me all the way to my house. As I walk up to the porch, I take off my headphones and turn off the Walkman. I put it back in my backpack and zip it shut. I hear a car door, and Kelly says, " Kim! Listen to me, dammit!" I quickly unlock the door and go inside, slamming it shut in her face. She bangs on it from the outside, and I said, " Go away, Kelly. I don't want to talk." Zeke barks, and I walk him to the kitchen and let him out the back door and into the backyard. I sling my backpack on the kitchen table, and as I start walking from the back door, flames swirl in front of me, revealing Kelly. I said, " LEAVE!!" Kelly said, " Listen to me, you fucking bitch!" I said, " NO!! I'm done, Kelly!! It's over!" She backhands me across the face, and my head turns. I look back at her as I feel blood filling up in my mouth. She said as she angrily pointed at me " It's not over until I say so!!" I said " Go be with Mandi! since you still like her!" Kelly said " I didn't mean to kiss her back!" I said " You probably would have been fucking her if I hadn't of showed up!" Kelly said " I can't believe you are accussing me of cheating when you're the one that cheated on me with Jane!!" I said " That doesn't count! you know I'm not into her like that I was helping her!!" Kelly said sarcastically " Oh yeah you helped her alright! You fucked her real good!!" I said " Fuck you!!! We both know if Mandi was Jane you would have took advantage of that!!" Kelly said " I'm not the cheater you are!! you fucking whore!!" I'm balling my eyes out as we scream at eachother. Kelly said, " We both know you'd fuck Kyle in a heartbeat! You've fucked Jane and me!! Why not Jason?! Why don't you just let us all have a turn with you!!" I smack her across the face hard, and she just laughs wickedly. She said, " You hit like a bitch!" I swung my fist using my telekinetic strike to punch her. She comes off her feet, flying down the doorway that leads into the foyer. She lands on the hardwood floor, sliding on her back. I walk down into the foyer, and she suddenly jumps to her feet. She just stares down at me as I stare up at her. She said, "You're not even worth it." She turned around and said, as she walked, "I guess I'll go see what Mandi is up to, then shall I?" She turned around, and I picked up a glass cup and threw it at her. It shatters on the wall by her head, and I said, " Get the fuck out of my house!" She flipped me off and opened the door, slamming it shut behind her. I walk up to the door, putting my hands on it as I sob in anguish.. God, I'm so stupid... like she ever loved me... she only loves herself... I see blood dripping on the floor in front of my shoes. I wipe my nose with my hand and look at it, seeing the blood. I turn around and walk upstairs and into the bathroom. I turn the light on, looking in the mirror at my nose oozing blood into the sink. I quickly take some toilet paper and put it against it to try to stop it. I hold it there for a few seconds, then look at the toilet paper soaked in blood. What the hell is going on?? I don't have nosebleeds. I hear my beeper in the pocket of my jeans. I pull out and read 43, which means fuck you, it's from Kelly. I angrily slam it on the counter, and when I do, I suddenly feel a sharp pain in my head that feels like a headache. I exclaim in pain as I hold my head. I exclaim loudly, and all of a sudden, the things on the sink are flung to the right into the bathtub. I did that with my telekinesis, and I couldn't control it. I cleaned up the mess and walked out of the bathroom to clean up the glass I had thrown at Kelly in the foyer.
