Chapter 97

P.O.V/ Kim Austin:

Two Months Later..

It's been two months since Jason and Jane's wedding at Debby and Jack's house. That week started rough, Terri had been with Kelly for a month then on the Fourth of July Xander was shot outside the local firework store. We rushed to the hospital to be with Dana and the doctor came out telling us that Xander died. Dana lost it as she broke down sobbing uncontrollably. She is now a single mother with two kids and one on the way. Losing Xander affected everyone not only was he Dana's husband but our friend. I remember when I first met Xander and Dana it was back in middle school when they were sixth graders then my sophomore year at Finway High they were there as freshmen. I'll never understand why people leave us so suddenly... Xander was young and had a family... His 24th birthday was the day before the Fourth of July. He was so happy at the party at his and Dana's house. Xander was buried at Holbrook Cemetery a double headstone with his name, birthdate, and death date then beside it was Dana's name with her birthdate and the space for her death date. Then we went on that mission at Russell High the high school that had been abandoned since 1991. We encounter Evil Terri, Kelly, and Kevyn there. Shana snuck off to find the books while Evil Terri taunted Kay. Kevyn realized Shana was gone and Kelly sent her after Shana but Mom dashed down the hallway running beside Kevyn and she rudely shoved Mom into the metal trashcan making her crash into it. Mom threw the lid at her shoes and made her flip onto her back. Grand Mom dashed down as Kevyn was getting up and shoved her into an open metal trashcan. Soon Kelly and Kevyn were both chasing Mom, Grand Mom, and Shana around. While Debby and I watched as Evil Terri beat up Kay. While we were there Evil Terri and Kelly kissed disgusting us all and Debby realized that Kelly had taken advantage of Terri while she was possessed like Maria did her years ago. So in a way, Kelly did violate Terri but while under the influence of Kelly's evil she accepted Kelly's advances making it consensual. But we all know if Terri wasn't under Kelly's influence it would have never happened. Terri returned to us on Jason and Jane's wedding day and a couple of hours later Kelly showed up and tried to possess Terri again. But Terri performed an exorcism on herself which is extremely dangerous and evicted Kelly from her body. Terri had stopped breathing and Kelly was injured and teleported away. Kay started mouth-to-mouth as Debby did chest compressions and they brought Terri back. But after that the wedding began a few hours later it was so beautiful. I caught the bouquet and everyone cheered for us as we kissed. Kyle said he can't wait to marry me and I can't either. We are gonna start planning the wedding here in a few months. We haven't stopped talking about it since then. We've decided that we want to get married in our backyard like Shana and Jacob did a few years ago. Today is Monday, September 12, 1994; Kyle and I are up eating breakfast. We made some French toast and sausage links. Kyle takes a drink of his coffee and then says " I still can't believe Xander is gone.. it doesn't seem real". He said with a sad expression. I said " Yeah it doesn't.. I couldn't imagine being in Dana's shoes now.. raising those two girls all by herself".. Kyle said " It doesn't seem fair if you ask me.. Why Xander?" I said as my eyes teared up " It's not.. and Terri feels like if she wasn't possessed by Kelly that she could have saved him".. The police tracked the men down several weeks ago and they are on trial for his murder. Kyle is angry with the men, He says " They should lock those two lowlifes up for good.. make sure they never see the light of day again"... He says as he stares down at his coffee cup. I put my hand on his hand and he looks up at me. Tears fell from his eyes and He said: " He was one of my best friends.. and now he's gone.. and I don't know how to move on without him"... I leaned over and we hugged as we both cried. I look at Kyle with my hand on his right cheek. I said as tears fell from my eyes "It's gonna take some time.. but it will get better.. I miss my Dad every day.. but as time moves on I've learned how to accept the fact that he's gone".. Kyle said as tears fell from his eyes " I don't know how you do it.. If my Dad was gone I wouldn't know how to.. God I miss your Dad and Xander so much".. We cleaned up our dishes and went upstairs to shower together. After our shower, we were out and dressed for work. We kissed each other in the driveway and left for work. Later on that day, I'm down at the Cafe with Dakota. She said, " I'm glad they finally have those men on trial". I said " Me too".. Dakota said " Have you heard from Dana lately?" I said, " I saw her at Walmart a few days ago.. she is still having a hard time.. She doesn't seem like herself anymore.. like Mom when my Dad died.. but Dana isn't drinking to numb her pain so that's good". Dakota said " Avery and Alex are keeping her going.. she knows she has to for them.." I said, " She's having Alex on October 22nd.. she's invited us to go visit her after she has her". Dakota said with a smile " I can't wait to meet her". I said, " Me too.. I wonder if she's gonna look like Xander.. Avery looks like Dana but her hair isn't as red its brown with a red tint to it". Dakota said, " She might.. I look like my Mom and Dad". I said, " Jesse found out last week that she is also having fraternal twins but they are both girls". Dakota has a surprised look on her face. She said " She's gonna have her hands full too.. what did she name them?" I said, " Twin A is Samantha Lee Roberts and Twin B is Riley Claire Roberts". Dakota smiled and said, " Jesse named Samantha after her". I said, " She got Claire from Brandon's Mom Tanya that is her middle name". Dakota smiled and said, " There are so many babies that I can't wait to meet". I said, " Yeah now we know Shana is also pregnant she just found out a month ago". Dakota smiled and said, " I can't wait for you to be pregnant". I said, " Yeah we've been trying for a couple of years now". I said with a smile. Dakota said " So how does Terri feel about having two grandbabies on the way?" I said as I smiled, " Jesse said Terri was so excited and Brandon was so stunned but extremely happy". We smiled and Dakota said, " Terri is gonna be one hell of a Grandmother". I said with a smile "Definitely". Dakota said, " The future is gonna be so beautiful with all of these babies". I said with a smile " It's one I'm looking forward to". A different waitress came out and we ordered our lunch. The other girl was off work today. We ate our lunch and talked more. Afterward, we walked back down to the office and got back to work. Around 4:00 pm Darla pays me a little visit like always. I look up from my keyboard as I'm typing. Darla is see-through as she sits in the chair across from my desk. She said, " So now Shana has a baby on the way? It's beginning to look like you aren't ever gonna have that little girl you've been dreaming about". she says with a sarcastic tone. I roll my eyes and continue working. Darla grins evilly and said " You really think you're gonna have her don't you?" I look around then back at her and whisper " You're damn right I am.. and I'm gonna teach her to vanquish evil.. My daughter will be one of the most powerful witches like me... Kelly will meet her demise one day".. Darla is grinning evilly at me. She said " You might meet yours one day.. Maybe sooner than you think Kid".. Darla disappears from the chair and I continue working. I hear footsteps and I look up at Nancy. She says with a concerned look " Kim?? are you alright? you seem stressed". I said " Yeah.. the computer was acting up but it's fine now". Nancy said with a smile " I sense you have a temper don't you?" I giggled a little and said " Yeah I do.. but I control it.. I was a hot head as a teenager". Nancy smiled and said, " I was too". At 5:00 pm I leave the office and head home. I made it home and gave Lance his food then went upstairs to shower. I changed into some comfortable clothes and went downstairs to start dinner. Kyle will be home at 7:00 pm. I made us some Steaks, mashed potatoes, and green beans. Kyle got home and we ate our dinner at the kitchen table. He had a good day at work I was hoping he did. After dinner, we cleaned up the kitchen and he went upstairs to shower. Afterward, we cuddled up on the couch to watch a movie before bed. We watched that movie called 3 Ninjas Kick Back. It was hilarious Kyle and I got a great laugh out of it. It's a nice movie to sit down and watch with Family.
