Chapter 92

P.O.V/ Kim Austin:

Five Months later..

It's been five months since Mom had a problem with alcohol she was drinking every day heavily to numb her pain of losing Dad but as we all know drinking like that is not a healthy way to cope with death or any kind of mental pain. She became violent and angry when we gave her an intervention and it ended in a big fight between her and Debby. We left the house to let Mom cool down for a few days. Then when she didn't show up for her shift at the hospital we all became worried and went back to the house finding it empty and her Jeep was gone from the driveway. I was afraid she left town to escape but she didn't. She arrived at her house while we were there trying to search for her. Her eyes turned red and we knew that she had been possessed by a demon. She attacked us and then turned on Shana who teleported her to Holbrook Cemetery. Upon seeing Dad's grave she broke down sobbing and hit the grass on her knees and red energy came out of her back as the demon left her body. Shana said through tears as she told Mom to talk to him.. that it's okay to be angry with him... Mom spoke to him as she sobbed uncontrollably. Afterward, Shana put her hand on Mom's shoulder and pulled green energy from her body and it went into her. Shana exclaimed in agony as she spun around dropping to her knees Mom's emotional pain shocked her. Shana looked up at the sky and exclaimed as she opened her mouth releasing the green energy she then fainted and we teleported her back to Mom's house where she woke up and told Mom what she did. Shana took away her pain to help her heal the right way.. it doesn't erase it but it helps her understand and cope healthily. It did because Mom hasn't had a drink since then and she's been going to her AA meetings and grief therapy she also continued family therapy with my Grandma to work through their issues. But as we all know who was behind Mom turning evil... Kelly. We found Mom's Jeep at the Greyhound bus station Kelly was trying to make us believe she was leaving town but instead of trying to control Mom like she wanted to evil Mom came to the house to kill us all. Today is Sunday, August 16, 1992, and everyone is headed downtown to The Sunsphere where Kat and James's wedding is being held. Everything has been great for the past five months until yesterday when Terri told us that Victoria came to her house while she was alone and attacked her. Victoria was attempting to sexually assault her and they got into a vicious fight in the kitchen. Terri got a hold of a weapon and stabbed her with a 12-inch butcher knife the one that is Michael Myers' choice of weapon. Victoria fled by teleporting away, Terri saw the amount of blood on the floor and collected it for a vanquishing potion. To vanquish an upper-level demon like Victoria who is also half-human you need a good amount of blood to make a potion. Terri made it and has it ready. The wedding ceremony is being held inside the Sunsphere on the 8th floor, the tower is 26 stories tall. The observation deck is on the 4th floor. There was a restaurant in here when the World's Fair opened in 1982 now it's an office space. There are hundreds of people in here and everyone sits in their seats on the left and the right. I'm wearing a long sky-blue dress with spaghetti straps with a black floral print. Jane is wearing a long red dress with a black floral print and spaghetti straps. Mom is wearing a dark green satin dress with spaghetti straps that come to her calves. Debby is wearing a long dark purple dress with spaghetti straps it comes to her ankles it has a slit on the right leg. Terri is wearing a white and black floral print dress that comes to her calves. Holly is wearing a long lace dress that is a Magenta color with thick straps she is four months pregnant with her and Shane's first child she found out in May before her college graduation. Dana is wearing a long black satin dress that is loose fitting she is now five months pregnant they found out that is a girl they named her Avery Victoria Porter. Dakota is wearing a long light purple dress with thick straps. Jesse is wearing a long black laced dress with spaghetti straps. Since Jesse has now become a young woman her body is changing and now that she has breasts she has been dressing more teenage instead of like a little girl. It's hard to believe Jesse is now twelve and growing up so fast. I see Brandon standing beside her wearing a black tuxedo. He has grown to be 5'4" and Jesse is now 5'1". In May Jacob, Jimmy, Karen, and Holly all graduated from College. Jacob graduated from Law school after three years, Jimmy graduated with a four-year degree in Criminal Justice he has been at the Police Academy training for 12 weeks to become a Cop. Karen and Holly both graduated with four-year degrees in Commissioned Officer Qualifications. Karen has been away for three months at Fort Benning, Georgia training in Army officer school it is a 12-week program after completing she will earn her rank as a Second Lieutenant which is a platoon leader who leads a platoon-size element, usually consisting of 16 to 44 soldiers. Which means she is responsible for planning missions, assigning tasks, and giving orders. She is headed into combat. Kat has been missing her like crazy and is worried Karen can't make it to her wedding. Holly can't go to the Army officer school to train because she's pregnant after she gives birth she can attend. Jane and I are in the back room talking to Kat and her mom who is helping her get ready she is wearing a beautiful white lace wedding dress with a veil. Kat said as she dried her eyes " I just really miss Karen.. I wish she could be here".. Jane and I both looked up and spotted Karen standing in the doorway. She's dressed in a Desert Camouflage uniform wearing a pair of black combat boots. She smiles as she stands there in a Military pose with her hands behind her back. On her uniform, it reads Watson U.S. Army. Faith, their Mom instantly begins to cry with happy tears as she looks at her as Kat turns around. She is crying as Karen slowly walks up to her with her hands behind her back. Karen said as she stared up at Kat with tears in her eyes " I wouldn't miss my big sister's wedding for the world".. They hug as they both cry. After the hug, Karen looked at Kat and said " You look so beautiful, Sis". Jane puts her arm around me as we stand there I lay my head on her shoulder we smile as we watch them. We all leave and Rupert is walking back there to get Kat. I'm standing next to Kyle as he wears his navy blue Tuxedo he smiles at me as I smile back at him. We look over at Jimmy kissing Karen in the second row. They look back at us and Kyle salutes Karen and she smiles giving him a nod. It's a respectful thing because she's a soldier. Bryan Adams's Everything I Do I Do It for You plays in the background " Look into my eyes You will see, what you mean to me... Search your heart, search your soul... When you find me then, you'll search no more... Don't tell me it's not worth trying for... You can't tell me it's not worth dying for... You know it's true, everything I do, I do it for you". The song continues to play as Rupert walks Kat down the aisle with James standing there waiting for her. He smiles as tears run down his face as he watches her. Kat stands on the other side across from James as he shakes Rupert's hand. I'm emotional as I'm crying and watching. Now that my Dad is gone this is something I wished he could do walk me down the aisle to give away to Kyle. The Preacher begins his speech " Dearly beloved we are gathered here today to bring this man and this woman together in holy matrimony... James Nathan Lawson do you take this woman to be your lawful wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and health, to love and cherish until death do you apart?" James said as tears fell from his brown eyes " I do".. He looks at Kat and said " Katrina Diane Trenton do you take this man to be your lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and health, to love and cherish until death do you apart?" Kat said as she cried " I do".. They recite their vows and put on each other's rings. The Preacher said " With the power invested in me by the great state of Tennessee I pronounce you man and wife.. you may kiss the bride".. James gently pulls back the veil revealing Kat's beautiful face. He pulls her into a soft passionate kiss as she kisses him back with tears streaming down her face. Everyone is standing and cheering for them as they kiss. Kat turns with her back to a crowd of people and tosses the bouquet back. Dana catches it and Kat turns around smiling at her as Xander kisses her with his hand gently on her pregnant belly. The reception is about to begin when I spot Terri, Don, Bryce, and Tania walking around looking worried. I walked up to Terri and said " Terri what's wrong?" She looked at me and I could tell she was scared to death. She said " Kim.. have you seen Jesse and Brandon?" I said, " I just saw them not even five minutes ago in the hallway near the elevators". Don said, " They must have snuck off". Terri said, " Jesse knows better than to sneak off". Kat and James walked up and Terri said " I'm sorry to do this but Jesse and her boyfriend Brandon have probably snuck off somewhere". Kat said with a smile, " It's okay go look for them". Me, Kyle, Terri, Don, Tania, Bryce, Jane, and Jason all look for them in the tower with Debby, Mom, and Shana and the others look around on the 8th floor. In the men's bathroom on the second floor, Jacob opens it and calls out to us " Over here!" Bryce and Tania both rush in as the rest of us stand outside while Jacob holds the door open. Brandon is lying on the floor with blood coming from his temple. Tania checked his pulse as Bryce said " Son.. wake up.. come on".. he said in a worried tone. He groans as he raises his head up looking at the small pool of blood on the bathroom floor. They help him stand and Terri walks in with Don standing behind her. She holds her hand up inches away from the wound and it slowly disappears. She said " Brandon.. what happened?? Where is Jesse??" she said with a worried tone of voice. Brandon said " We stepped just outside the room in the hallway just to talk while everyone was getting ready for the reception... Next thing I know... Jesse is grabbed from behind and someone grabbed me... It was Kelly and that girl Victoria they drug us down here.. last thing I remember was Jesse punching Kelly." Terri covers her face as she begins to cry. We all walk outside as Terri breaks down sobbing as Don holds her. Terri said to me " They took my daughter... I'm gonna fucking kill them".. Kat and James walk down and Terri said to Kat " Kelly and Victoria have kidnapped Jesse... I'm calling the Police".. Terri pulled out her cell phone and dialed 911. Kat said " The reception is canceled.. we're finding Jesse.. I can't believe those bitches pulled this at my wedding". Kat is angry that they took Jesse not because the wedding has been interrupted. Everyone left except Me, Kyle, Jane, Jason, Terri, Don, Bryce, Tania, Debby, Jack, Mom, Kat, James, Jimmy, Karen, Jacob, and Shana while Terri and Don talked to the Police. They suggested that Terri and Don go home in case Jesse showed up there while they formed search parties but what they don't know is we have a better chance of finding Jesse than they do and the police are no match for Kelly and Victoria. Back at Terri's house, it's Me, Terri, Debby, Mom, Shana, Kat, Karen, and Dakota we have all changed into regular clothes. Kyle, Jason, Don, Jack, and Jacob are at Bryce and Tania's house with them in case Jesse shows up there. Terri is pacing the floor when she suddenly has a look of realization. She said, " I know why they took her... it's because I have the vanquishing potion for Victoria"... All of a sudden the doorbell rings and it startles us. Terri walks over to the desk against the wall right beside the stairs she opens the top drawer and pulls out her gun. She cautiously walks up to the door with her Ruger handgun in her right hand. She slowly turns the lock with her left hand and then quickly opens the door pointing the gun but nobody is there. She looks down at a Manila envelope lying on the porch in front of the door. Terri picks it up and walks back in closing the door behind her. She is looking at the envelope then looks up at us with a look of fear. She opens it and pulls out a camcorder tape. We all stare at the tape and I feel my heart sink as I begin to cry. Terri walks upstairs and then comes back down with her Camcorder. She hooks it to the living room TV with the AV cables and turns on the camcorder pressing play. It is a video of Jesse tied to a chair dressed in a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and black low-top Converses. Kelly is standing behind her holding a gun to her head. Terri exclaims as she starts crying. Victoria walks into the frame and stands by Kelly. She said to the Camcorder " Either you bring me the potion or I kill her... if you don't come alone I'll put a bullet in her pretty little head". Jesse exclaims in pain as Kelly pulls on the back of her hair. She said " It's a trap Mom!" Victoria backhanded Jesse and she exclaims as her head turns and blood flies on her white t-shirt. Terri exclaims as she sobs watching. The video cuts off and the TV goes to static. Terri is beyond stressed by now. The landline suddenly rings and Terri exclaims in surprise. She picks it up and answers it " Hello?" I hear Kelly's voice on the other end " Don't go to the Police again.. you sit and wait like a good girl until we send you orders.. you got that bitch?" Terri said " Let her go!! she's just a kid.. it's me you want!! take me!!!!" I have never seen Terri so angry. Kelly laughs evilly and says over the phone " Not a chance.. remember what I said.. or else she pays the price.." We hear a hit land and Jesse exclaims in pain. Terri yelled " Keep you're fucking hands off her!! you both are dead!!! do you hear me?!?! Nobody fucks with my kid!!!" The line goes dead and Terri exclaims in a rage as she slings the phone across the room and it hits the wall falling to the ground as she breaks down sobbing as she holds her head. We have no choice but to wait as much as we don't want to. I swear if anything happens to Jesse... I won't be able to handle it... I can't lose another person I love...
