Chapter 75

P.O.V/ Kim Austin:

Two months later..

It's been a long two months, with Midterms and dealing with the aftermath of Heather switching our bodies. She switched Dakota and Julia putting them in each other's bodies. Heather did it purposely to scare Julia away and expose our secrets. Now Julia refuses to speak to Dakota or any of us. She broke up with Dakota the same day she ran out of Kelly's mansion. Dakota is heartbroken and I can't stand to see her this way... I just wanted her to have someone and be happy.. but Heather won't let any of us be happy. She has to be stopped one way or another I can't let her destroy my life and everyone else's. Dakota deserves to be happy and I'll be damned if Heather tries to ruin that happiness... I've got your number bitch and I'm coming for you. Mark my words Heather Thomas you will pay for what you've done.. Things were calm for two months and Heather stayed to herself but that was only because she was so busy with studying and doing Midterms like the rest of us. She didn't have time to fool around and neither did we. I can say that around this time of year and the summer is the biggest break I get from Heather because she's too busy with her own life to meddle in mine. But Dean Thomas well John as we all refer to him now has made it known to Mom that he's more interested in her. She had caught him outside the house at night just standing on the sidewalk smoking a cigarette as he stared creepily at the house. Mom said she just ignored him because he wasn't in the yard or on the front porch. She can't call the law if he's on the sidewalk so she has ignored him and has made sure that Dad doesn't see him and go out to confront him. Kyle and I have spent a couple of nights at the house with Mom while Dad is out on the road but she tells us that she'll be fine and that if she needs us she'll let us know. Mom may be a very powerful witch but she's not invincible none of us are. When I don't stay the night with her I have nightmares of John sneaking inside the house and doing god only knows what to her.. and I get that feeling he doesn't just wanna "talk". he gives me that rapey vibe that if he wants something he'll take it. Sounds like someone else we know doesn't it?? Today is Monday, January 4, 1988; The 80s are almost over in two years it will be 1990. I don't know what the future holds for me in the 90's but I hope it's a good one. Hopefully, Kyle and I married and we have that little girl we've both been dreaming about and hopefully Kelly and Kevyn will be tolerable in the future. Kyle and I are hoping that Kelly remains the way she is right now and that Kevyn will turn out fine because of my and Kyle's good nature. I'm in Honors Calculus with Kat and Kyle with Heather sitting behind us. She didn't say anything she just smiled evilly at us as she walked to her seat behind me. Throughout class she was silent and did her work leaving me alone she didn't even pass me a creepy note like she had been. At the end of class, everyone is clearing out or standing in the aisles chatting. We stood up and Heather said " I'm guessing Julia didn't take the news so well did she?" I turned glaring at Heather as she smiled evilly she already knew Julia didn't. I said, " Stay the hell away from her". Heather smiled evilly then said, " Nah I think I'll go make a new friend seeing how she thinks you and the others are freaks now". I said as gave her an intimidating stare " It takes one to one know". Heather said, " I'm not the one who got exposed for pretending to be something I'm not". I said, " I never pretend to be something I'm not". Heather smiled evilly then said " No Kim you do... You've hidden it for years now.." She leaned forward and continued speaking " What will Mommy and Daddy think when they find out about it?" I growled as I went for her but I'm grabbed from behind by Kyle. Heather moves back as she cackles evilly. As Kyle held me back, I said " I swear you ever say anything.. I'll".. Heather's eyes turned red and She said with an intimidating glare " Or you'll what??" Professor Gaines said " Miss Austin? Miss Thomas?? what's going on here??" Kyle lets go of me and we turn around looking down at Professor Gaines who has her arms crossed. She didn't hear what was said she only saw us. Heather's eyes return to the honey-brown color they are and She speaks up " Nothing Professor just being silly". She looked at me and I pushed back my anger then I said as I lied " Yeah just being silly". Professor Gaines looked suspicious, She said " You two looked like you were about to kill each other... Next time take that nonsense out of my classroom do you understand me?" She said with a stern voice. I said, " Yes Ma'am". Heather said with a fake polite tone " Sure thing". Professor Gaines turns back around to the black lab table looking through a stack of papers. I look up at Heather and she smiles evilly down at me then walks down the aisle and the steps directly in the middle and out of of the classroom door. I'm so pissed steam is coming out of my ears metaphorically speaking. Kyle and Kat follow me outside to the circle sidewalk that has a black metal pole with the American flag. I walk down the sidewalk and turn left walking onto the lawn where Kelly and Mandi are walking up. Kelly saw my face and said, " Everyone take cover she's about to explode". she said with a grin. I said " I'm so pissed".. Kelly said " Why?" Kyle said, " It was Heather". Mandi said, " When is it not". with sarcasm directed toward Heather. Kelly said to me " You wanna hit something?" Kyle said to me " I can hold my backpack up to my chest and let you take a swing". Kelly looked up at Kyle and said " She would kill you if she hit you right now". Kelly thinks then she looks around there aren't many people out and they are far away from us. Kelly said, " Hit me". I looked at her and Mandi said with sarcasm " Uh No". I said, " Kelly I'm not hitting you". Kelly said, " Come on.. it's not like you haven't decked me before.. besides you can't hurt me". Kelly hands Mandi her backpack who doesn't look too keen on me hitting her but she keeps quiet. Kelly stands in front of me and I stand in front of her. Mandi said to me " Not the face". she said with a smirk. Kelly looked over at Mandi and then said " Shut it.. now"... She said in a hateful tone giving Mandi an intimidating stare. She clears her throat and looks at the ground. Kelly looks back at me and then said " I don't care where you hit me.. just don't hit me in the twat". We all look around and nobody is out. I exclaim as I throw my hand up nailing Kelly in the chest using my telekinetic strike. She exclaims as she flies across the lawn landing at the other end on her back near the sidewalk. We all walk up as Kelly groans in pain. I can't help but giggle as she raises up holding her chest. I said " Are you good?" She got up dusted off her clothes then said, " Yeah just let my Sternum go back into place". she said with a grin. I said " I really didn't mean to hit you that hard". Kelly just smiled down at me and then said messing with me " Sure you did". Kyle said, " Yeah you definitely would have broken something if you hit me". Kelly said, " That would have shattered your Sternum and you'd be dead". Mandi said, " See one punch kill". I said " Heather was teasing me about breaking up Dakota and Julia.. and about my sexuality".. Kelly said " She did?" I said, " Yeah pretty much threaten to tell my parents". Kelly scoffs then says " She'll never tell them.. she's just trying to scare you". Mandi said " It's not like she has any room to talk.. I wonder if her Dad knows about her?" Kelly said, " He does and he doesn't give a shit like mine". I said " Why isn't your Dad friends with him anymore?" Kelly gets this look in her eyes. She said, " Because the bastard raped my Mom when she was fifteen in 1962 before I was born". I said, " That was around the time Debby also turned him down". Kelly said, " Dad said that Mom always blamed Debby because John raped her.. that if she hadn't turned him down that it never would have happened". I said, " It wasn't Debby's fault.. John punched her and broke her jaw". Kelly said, " I know.. you're right it wasn't but Dad made him pay for hurting Mom and Debby". I said " He did?" Kelly said " They got into a fight at the drive-in and Dad stabbed John with a Stiletto knife." Mandi had a disgusted look in her eyes. She said to Kelly " Is that the same one he used to dig that beetle out of my skin?" Kelly said, " Yeah same one". She said in disgust " I hope he washed off the blood". Kelly said " Duh". with sarcasm. I said " What happened after he stabbed him?" Kelly said, " They got arrested and spent several months in Juvenile and John healed from the stab wound so they got in trouble for brawling and having the knives". Mandi said, " I can't believe your parents were Greasers it makes sense now". Kelly said with a grin " Yeah they were totally cool back then."
