Chapter 48

P.O.V/ Kim Austin:

It's Tuesday September 3, 1985; I'm a month into my Senior year at Finway high it's hard to believe I'm gonna be eighteen and in College next year studying to be an Accountant. I know this is gonna be a stressful job at times but it will benefit me and Kyle and hopefully our kid if I ever have one. Kyle and I haven't had that conversation yet all I said was I'd like to have a kid one day a little girl I didn't tell him the name I want to name her. After Kelly and Kevyn I don't know how he feels about having any more kids. I just got home from school, Kyle's car is finally fixed and he's driving it. He is at his house getting ready to go into work I went upstairs to my room and took off my school clothes and put on my work clothes I put on my Levi blue jean jacket, a black short sleeve button up, a black leather belt, a pair of dark high waisted Levi blue jeans and my black and white Air Jordan high tops. I pick up my car keys and my beeper off my nightstand and open the door walking out and down the stairs into the foyer where Zeke is laying on the floor with the sunlight beaming in from the window by the front door. I tell him bye as I walk out the door. I drive to East town mall by taking I-40 East from my house and I make there in twelve minutes. On mine and Shana's break we walked up to Rave a clothing store Jane works at and we all went and ate at Burger King. Now that she's in College she goes to classes from 7-3 then she works from 4-9. Now that I'm back in school I work 4-8 Monday-Friday. Sometimes I'm off on the weekends or during the week my days off switch from time to time. then during the summer I work 7-4 or 3:30pm then 3-9 for nights. I work until 8:00pm then I'm off Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Simon and Paula have already called me, Dakota, Jane and Terri in for a mission tomorrow. We saw Kelly on her lunch break with Ashley, Natalie, Stephanie and Evian. She broke up with Mandi and kicked her out of the new Mansion she now lives in with Ashley, Natalie, Stephanie, Evian, Steve and Drax. She is now seven months pregnant and is gonna have Kevyn next month on Halloween.

Wednesday September 4, 1985;

I slept in today until about 8:30am I can't sleep any later than that if I do I'll have a headache from sleeping too long. I got up when my alarm went off and grabbed my towel off the hook on the back of my door. I opened the door and walked down the hall passing by my parent's room. My mom went into work at 5:00am and she doesn't get home until 3:00am and my dad is driving to California he left yesterday he should be there by now. I took my shower and after I was done I opened the door walking out with my towel around my body I walked in my room and closed the door behind me I dried off and layed my towel across the bottom railing of my bed then I started getting dressed. I put on my Levi blue jean jacket, a black t-shirt that says AC/DC in silver letters with the band members under it says world tour 1979-1980, my black leather belt, a pair of high waisted Levi blue jeans and my black and white Air Jordan high tops. I towel dried my hair then brushed it out, I flip my hair over and use my mousse to scrunch the ends of my hair then I flip my hair back and use my Aqua Net. I wash my hair in Salon Selectives Shampoo and Conditioner it smells like green apples. I washed my body with the gold Dial bar soap and my face with Noxzema skin cream. I pick my towel up off the railing and hang it back up. The Cordless landline rings on my nightstand I pick it up out of the receiver and answer it " Hello?" My GranDad Mack said on the other end " Good Morning Beautiful". I smile and said " Good Morning GranDad". He said " Would you like to go out to Breakfast with me and your Grandmother?" I look at my Rolex watch and it says 9:10am. I said " Yeah I'd love to". He said " Meet us at the Waffle House on Cedar Lane". I said " Sounds good." GranDad said " Be safe Kid. We love you". I smile and said " I love you too". I hang the phone up and get my keys and my beeper off my nightstand and walk out the door and down the stairs into the foyer. I look over at Zeke asleep on the couch as I walk up to the front door I open it and walk out on the front porch. As I'm locking the door I hear footsteps approaching from behind. I turn around and it's that boy that tried to pop my tires on Christmas. He has hit a growth spurt since then last time I seen him he was 5'0" he is now 5'4" and is starting to grown a mustache. He standing there holding a red rose in some plastic I can tell he's nervous. He said " Kim? I'm Joey.. I was the kid trying to pop your tires last Christmas".. I said " Yeah I remember". He said " I just wanted to apologize again.. well the right way". He hands me the rose and I smile friendly. I said " That's sweet of you. Thank you". I see his friends that were with him before standing on the sidewalk infront of my house. He smiles and said " Well I'll see you around the neighborhood". He walks down the steps and out to his friends who tease him about giving me the rose. They all three start walking away down the sidewalk as I'm walking out to my car. Joey looks back and smiles at me as he is walking away. I get in my car and open the sun visor placing the rose under it so poking out. After getting my car started I pull out of the driveway and turn right driving down the road. I turn left going down Elm street and they are walking on the sidewalk on the left as I drive by them they smile at me. I drove out to the Waffle house five minutes away and had breakfast with my mom's parents. Afterwards I drove over to Paula's Mansion where Dakota is. Since Labor day on the sixth some of the kids at Finway College are on a four day break from classes. I park my car in the driveway beside Dakota's and shut it off. I get out of the car and walk up I ring the doorbell and wait until Dakota opens the door with a smile. I walk in and we go into the living room I call Kyle and ask him if he wants to come over and hang out until Dakota and I have to leave for the mission and he agrees. He arrives about fifteen minutes later and we walk upstairs to Dakota's bedroom and it's pretty big. It's bigger than mine and Kyle's room. When you walk in she has a huge king size bed with a cherry wood headboard and footboard on the left wall of the room beside the bed is a cherry wood nightstand then beside it is a big cherry wood desk with a silver lamp beside that is a big walk in closet that has the door open. The comforter set is a navy blue with navy blue pillow cases on it. Infront of the bed is a huge Magnavox floor TV set with speakers. On top of the TV is a VCR, a tape rewinder and a wooden cassette holder behind the VCR and the tape rewinder it is full of cassette tapes for her Walkman and for her stereo that is against the wall on the left by the TV beside it is her cherry wood dresser. We take our shoes off and get in the bed. I'm sitting in the middle while Kyle sits beside me on the right. Dakota is putting in a movie for us to watch it's St. Elmo's Fire a movie that came out this summer. The movie was an hour and fifty one minutes. After it was over Dakota and I started making out as I lay on my back with her on the right side of me on her side. The lights are out as I hear Dakota breathing a little heavy. I feel Kyle's hand up my shirt cupping my right boob I feel his hand travel down over my abs and to my belt where he starts unbuckling it he unbuttons my jeans as Dakota and I watch he pulls the zipper down and Dakota slides her hand into my navy blue lace panties as Kyle turns my face to him and begins kissing me. She listens to the person talk and said " Alright we'll be there soon". She hangs up the phone and looks at me. She said " Simon and My mom have the mission ready". We walk down the hallway and into the foyer where we get our car keys off the coffee table. Kyle and I walk out to his car as Dakota locks the door. We stand out by his car kissing we stop and he looks down at me. He said " Becareful all of you". I said " We will". He said as he stared down at me " I love you so much Kim".. I said " I love you to Kyle".. He gets in his car and I wave at him as I walk over to my car parked by Dakota's as she sits in it with running. Kyle drives off he said he was gonna go hang out with Jason for awhile Dakota and I drive out to the agency meeting Jane and Terri.
