Chapter 44

P.O.V/ Kim Austin:

Dakota successfully injected Kat with the planet and she woke up. She sent Kelly flying out the window with her power of Molecular combustion when we all walked down the window and looked down she was gone. Kelly displayed some serious power more than I have ever seen her. I guess with her being pregnant it makes her more powerful which is a problem for us cause she's hurt that Kyle and I left her and wants to destroy us anyway she can. After the fight Karen pulled me to the side and told me she came out to Kat and that she was totally cool with her being bisexual. I asked Karen if she told Kat that she kissed me and she said no that the leprechauns must have made her do that. But I know she was trying to play it off to not make things awkward cause she knows that I don't feel the same way she does and she was clearly bothered when she saw Dakota hold my hand so I just let it go. West town mall is closed for a few months while it under goes construction to build the new food court in the center where Franken Berger's department store is currently they went out of business so the mall decided to rip out all the other stores including Taco Bell where I worked and build the food court putting all the restaurants  together and to make room for new stores. So I technically lost my job so I decided to head over to East town where Shana and everyone else have went to find new jobs. Shana got hired at Claire's I applied cause I'm old enough now and got hired, Jane is working at Rave a clothing store with Kat and Stephanie, Jason is working at Radio shack with Drax and Steve, Kelly at Spencer's Gifts, Dakota at Victoria Secret, Mandi and Evian at Gadzooks; James, Ashley and Natalie at Footlocker then Karen and Jimmy at Taco bell. Kyle got hired by his dad's friend to work at a construction site located downtown he is gonna be working there after school for a few hours and full time during the summer. I was surprised when I heard Kelly was working at Spencer's gifts she has never had a job or had to work because of how much money Austin makes but maybe he made her so she can grow up and support her baby. She'll never grow up but I know she'll take care of her kid and that's why Kyle took the construction job so he can help Kelly as much as he can. Today is Friday May 10, 1985; the last day of school is May 24th then in June Jane, Kelly, Shana, Jacob and the others graduate. Next year me, Kyle and Jason will be Seniors. Jane is heading off to College at Finway to study to become a RN Nurse so we won't see her a lot and I'm really gonna miss her but I will see her after I graduate. I just got done getting ready for school this morning. I'm wearing my dark blue Levi jean jacket, a black Led Zeppelin t-shirt, a pair of dark high waisted Ralph Lauren blue jeans and my black and white old skool Vans. I've been so excited to be with Dakota now without Kelly butting in and starting a fight we've been together for two weeks now and I can tell Kyle really likes Dakota for me cause she isn't a bitch like Kelly and she isn't a narcissistic asshole. What Kelly did to me cause a lot of emotional damage I trusted her and thought she actually cared for me but she didn't.. She only cared for herself and she always will so me hoping that she would change was a big waste of time. I really wanted her to do good and be a better person but she's not capable of that and never will be. I walk down stairs into the foyer and grab my backpack off the couch by Zeke I pet his head before I walk away with my keys. I walk in the foyer and out the front door closing it behind me I turn around and lock the door with my keys. I walk out to the driveway to my car and get inside getting it started. After I got it going I'm driving down the road shifting gears. I stop by Kyle's house to pick him up the leprechauns did some damage to his car and it's gonna be in the shop for a few months Kyle is pissed about it. He walks out the front door of his house closing the door behind him. He walks out to the car and around to the passenger seat getting inside with his grey backpack. He closes the door and looks over at me with a smile. He said " Hello beautiful". I smile as he leans in giving me a soft kiss I kiss him back. I pull off and drive down the road. I turn right going down to the red light and stop. Kyle said " When are you going in for your first day of work?" I said " Today after school". He said " That's good I'm glad you were able to work there finally". I said " I know right they were strict about the age requirement". Kyle said " I heard Kelly got a job at Spencer's Gifts". I said " Yeah I heard figures her perverted ass would work there". Kyle grins at me. As we wait for the red light I can tell something is on his mind. I said " What are you thinking about?" Kyle sighs then said " How I'm gonna support my half-human and half-demon child". I said " All you can do is the best you can and if that's not good enough for Kelly that's her fault". Kyle said " I'm just really scared of what it's gonna grow up to be.. It's gonna turn out just like Kelly.. and I don't know how to deal with that".. I said " We don't know that for sure". Kyle said " I saw it's powers when she used them to try and kill us that day.. it's gonna be beyond powerful and the two of them together is gonna be unstoppable".. I said " Are you wanting to take custody from her?" Kyle said " It's worth a try.. I can't let her raise it to be like her one day.. not my kid".. The red light is still there I groan in annoyance and said " Come on!" Kyle smiles at my road rage. I said " Sorry.. I'm not trying to sound negative but Kelly will fight us tooth and nail over the baby". Kyle said " I know but it doesn't hurt to try but I can't do that until I'm eighteen by that time the baby will be a year old it's better to try before it grows up". The light finally turns green and I pull off then turn right up infront of the school. I turn up the road leading up by the front then to the left up by the football field to the back parking lot. I turn and drive down the first part and park in a empty space. I put the car in park and shut it off pulling out the keys. I look over at Kyle and he's staring off. I put my hand on his knee and he looks over at me. I said " We'll figure this out together". He smiles and said " Are you sure you don't mind helping raising a child that isn't yours?" I said " Not all besides I've always thought about having kids". He smiles at me then said " Boy or a girl?" I said " Girl". He said " I wonder what she's gonna name it if it turns out to be a girl". I said " Let's hope she doesn't name it after her we don't need two Kelly's". He smiles at my joke. We get out of the car closing the doors. We walk around and stand at the back of my car as we stand there and chat Kelly's trans am pulls in a space down. She gets out of the car and slams the door shut. Mandi gets out of the passenger seat and slams the door shut. As she storms by Kelly as she stands at the trunk. Kelly said in a hateful tone " Keep slamming my door and I'm gonna slam you!" Mandi ignores her as she walks down the parking lot. Kelly looks over at me and Kyle then makes a sarcastic grin. Kyle looks at me and motions for me to walk over there with him. We walk over there and Kelly looks up at Kyle then down at me she is now three months pregnant. She said in a sarcastic tone " Well if it isn't Chachi and Joanie". I roll my eyes then Kyle said " How's the baby?" Kelly said " It's fine and growing that all you need to know". I give Kelly a look. Kyle said " I'm starting a new job at Construction site for the summer". Kelly said " I'm working at Spencer's gifts". Kyle said " I'll start paying child support when I turn eighteen". Kelly said " I get dirty looks when people find out that you're sixteen but whatever it was consensual". Kelly is looking behind us. She said " Now beat it I've got customers". We walk back to my car as a guy and a girl approach her to buy weed. After school I drove over to East town mall for my first day at Claire's. Shana is the one training me at the register now that she's eighteen she can. Around 6:30pm we take our break and walk up to the food court and got some Subway. I spot Dakota at a table alone with a drink, I look over at her and smile. Shana sees me looking and looks over at Dakota sitting there she doesn't know I'm over here. Shana looks back at me and smiles. I said " What?" as I blushed. Shana said " I see you checking out Dakota". she winks. I said " It's hard not to she's so beautiful". Shana looks back at her then back at me. She said " She's a hell of a lot cuter than Kelly". I said " You don't think Kelly is pretty?". Shana said " It's not that she isn't. her attitude is what's ugly but yes Dakota is way prettier than her". She said with a smile. I have already told Shana that Dakota is my girlfriend now. I pull out my beeper and send her 340 which means I see you. She picks up her beeper off the table and looks at the message she looks over at me with a smile then gets up walking over to our table. She sits down beside me and Shana smiles at us. Dakota puts her hand on my left knee and we smile at each other. Shana said " You two are so cute together". Dakota said " You think so?" Shana said " Totally". Dakota said to me " I'm off work tomorrow do you want to hang out?" I said " Yeah sure I don't work until Monday and Kyle will be working this weekend". We say bye and walk back to our jobs. I got home at 9:00pm and talked to Kyle on the phone until we were both ready for bed at midnight
