Chapter 31

P.O.V/ Kim Austin:

Last time we had to vanquish Erin Miller, Evian's twin sister she became obsessed with Jane and wanted her for herself and Jane could never return those kind of feelings but Erin didn't care she wanted Jane she was gonna do anything she could to get what she wanted. So we waited and made a trap for Erin to walk into with that pentagram and she fell for it and we vanquished her with that spell Evian fled while this was going on. But Evian has been grieving since then and now she's out for blood. Today is January 17, 1984; It's Austin's birthday so I better teleport over to their house to make sure they aren't killing each other. It is also Martin Luther King Jr. day so there is no school. I'm standing in the foyer and I start teleporting over there. I teleport over there and I'm standing on the front porch infront of the double doors I hear them inside screaming at each other and things breaking so I move over to the right out of the way of the doors. Right when I do they explode on impact with Kelly football tackling Austin right through they miss the porch and land in the yard infront of the steps. Austin hits his back and exclaims at the impact as they slide across the gravel and dirt. Kelly is on top of him as she viciously punches him in the face over and over. She exclaims angrily as she hits him. He catches her fist and she goes to swing with the other one but he catches that one too. He growls as he throws her off by kicking her. She exclaims as she smacks the ground on her back. I'm not getting in between them this time it's just best for them to fight it out. Austin stumbles up drunkenly and swings at Kelly as she's getting up but she ducks in time. She jumps up and drop kicks Austin right in the chest hard. He exclaims in intense pain and losing his breath he is flung back and hits the big Oak tree that is located a few feet back. He exclaims in intense pain as his back smacks the tree with such force that it cracks. He just drops to the ground on his stomach laying there motionless. Kelly yells at him " Happy Birthday Asshole!!!!" in an angry tone. She turns around and looks at me as I look at her. We hear Austin groaning and we look over at him stumbling up. He staggers over to us and Kelly said " What?! you want more old man?!" Austin flips Kelly off as he staggers up the porch past me his face bloody and beaten. He walks through and into the foyer. We walk up the steps and inside finding him sitting on the couch with his head tilted back smoking a cigarette he raises his head up and takes a drink from a Coors Banquet beer can. Kelly reaches down on the table to grab her beeper and her keys. Austin grabs her arm with a forceful grip. He said " You're not going anywhere today bitch.." Kelly jerks her arm away and snatches up her beeper and keys. As she turns to walk away he grabs her right arm and jerks her down on the couch beside him she drops her beeper and her keys on the floor infront of his shoes. Austin yelled " I said you're not going anywhere!!" Kelly growls as she throws her foot up smashing the bottom of her shoe against Austin's jaw hard he hits the floor on his side making the whole living room shake as he hits the hardwood floor. Kelly gets up and he's laying there motionless. She bends down and picks up her beeper and keys. She growls as she kicks him in the ribs while he's down but he's out cold with blood pouring out of his mouth and onto the hardwood floor. Kelly flips him off and said " Fuck you!" We walk into the foyer and he groans. We look back at him getting on the couch. Kelly looks at him and said " You ever touch me again and I'll fucking kill you.. you sick bastard".. She walks out on the porch with me and we walk down to her car and get inside. She grips the steering wheel angrily she starts crying and beats the steering wheel with her right hand. I don't know what to say because if I try to comfort her she pushes me away. She starts the car and shifts into gear pulling off and down the driveway. She peels out of the driveway and flies down the road. As she drives she reaches in the front pocket of her blue jean jacket and pulls out a joint she lights it with a silver Zippo lighter and puffs on it making the heavy white smoke fill the car. I'm afraid to ask what happened between her and Austin but I want to know. She pulls into a Cemetery and drives down a road near some graves she stops the car and turns it off.
