Chapter 53

P.O.V/ Kim Austin:

It's now the beginning of March for the college kids it's spring break but for the high school kids it's not until later on this month. It's March 3, 1986; Next month I will be eighteen. It's crazy how time flies it's like yesterday I was fourteen years old and just starting high school. But fourteen year old me had no idea what was in store for her. She didn't know that the charming Kelly Davidson was a demon underneath the surface. A demon that could kill her but this demon was different. She has a heart it's just buried deep down to protect herself and to keep up her tough act. She showed me that side of her that she never showed anyone not even Kyle or Mandi. I'm sure she loved them but she wasn't in love with them. I think Kelly just doesn't want to be alone so she settles for Mandi. A part of me senses that she might still be in love with me and I pray she isn't. Things with Dakota were a little rough there for a bit but we are fine now. But what she said about Kelly and Kevyn really upset Kyle. Because Dakota didn't seem to care that Kelly was pregnant with Kevyn and that really bothered Kyle we have a few little arguments over it but not like the ones I had with Kelly where she'd scream at me and call me names. When Kyle and I had our first argument I cried for hours it seemed like because he is the last person I want to fight with. After a couple hours of cooling off he called me and apologized for getting upset and arguing with me and I apologized as well because you know me I have a horrible temper when I'm angry and I'm not nice. I didn't call him names or anything but I showed him I wasn't happy. I just got dressed after getting out of the shower. I put on my Levi Tucker blue jean jacket, a black t-shirt that says Journey Escape from their 1981 album one of my favorites of theirs, a black leather belt with silver studs, a pair of high waisted Ralph Lauren blue jeans and my black and white Nike Air high tops. I blow dryed my hair then brushed it out I take my can of mousse and scrunch the ends of my hair with my hands. I take my can of Aqua Net hairspray and spray my hair all over and my bangs. I don't like to use too much hairspray besides my hair doesn't touch the sky or the higher the hair the closer to Jesus is what everyone says. My hair is considered normal and some people say boring but I don't care I like it this way. Tommy Lee from Motely Crue has more hairspray in his hair than me lol. I love Motely Crue their music is great but I'm not a fan of every song they sing. The band members dress in tons of make up and have wild hair styles like any other 80's bands nowadays. I'd say that Journey is my favorite band of all time. I walk to the bathroom and wash my hands to get the mousse off sometimes I forget until I get to school and remember. I turn off the water and dry my hands on the hand towel hanging on the small hook attached to the wall right by the medicine cabinet that has a mirror on it. I turn the light off and walk out to the hallway down stairs to the foyer. I spot my beeper laying on the coffee table by a can of New Coke. The one that came out last year that almost everyone hates but I like it so does my parents it just takes like a Pepsi. Zeke is laying on the couch on his stomach he opens his mouth and yawns. Zeke is now eight years old he was four when we got him. The shelter said he was born in February of 1978 I was ten years old when he was born. Now that he's older he doesn't play like he use to but he will we just have to motivate him. I pet him on the head and walk back into the foyer. I walk around the stairs and to the rack and pull my backpack off. I pick up my car keys off the small side table beside the staircase and walk up to the front door. I open it and walk out on the front porch closing it behind me. I turn around and lock it with my keys then walk down to my car parked in the driveway. I'm driving down Woodland Avenue on my way to school as I past the hospital I see a burnt orange FXR Harley Davidson motorcycle drive by me. It's Maria with a black helmet and aviator sunglasses on her face. She winks at me then whistles as I roll my eyes. Maria revs up the motorcycle and speeds up flying by me. I made it to school a couple minutes later and hung out with Jason and Kyle until it was time to go in. After school Jane and Dakota said there is a Spring Break party on the college campus at the Frat and Sorority houses that is gonna be going on all week. So Kyle and I decided to go. It's about 6:00pm when we arrive and we follow a group of kids along with Jane, Jason, Kelly, Mandi, Shana and Jacob to the woods off campus near the houses were several of them have made fire pits. Me, Kyle, Dakota, Jane, Jason, Shana, Jacob, Kelly and Mandi are all sitting around a firepit drinking Coors Banquet and talking then somehow we ended up playing spin the bottle after a couple drinks. Kyle spins the empty beer bottle and it lands on Jane. Kyle whispers something into Jason's ear as he sits next to him. Jason smiles and nods his head in agreement. Kyle said " Jane I dare you to kiss Kim". Kelly takes a drink of her beer then said to Kyle with a smirk " Why don't you two kiss?" The rest of us giggle, Kyle and Jason look at each other then back at Kelly. They both said " Nope" together. Jane said " First we need permission". Kyle said " I'm fine with it". Jason said " Me too". Jane said " You two might be but what about Dakota?" Kyle takes a drink of his beer and Jason said to Dakota " Are you cool with it?" Dakota is sitting on my left side in a chair while Jane is sitting on my right side. I look at Dakota and She said with a smile " It's just for fun". Jane leans over placing her hand on the back of my head and pulls me into a soft kiss and I kiss her back. I spot Kelly out the corner of my eye smiling as she takes a drink of her beer. We stop and start giggling softly at each other. Jane spins the bottle and it lands on Shana. She said with a smile " Shana I dare you to down the rest of your beer". Shana's beer is half empty she turns it up and quickly drinks the rest of it then shows us it's empty. Shana gets up and walks over to the beer cooler and gets out another one she tosses her empty beer bottle in a big black trash bag by the cooler. Shana sits back down and spins the bottle and it lands on me. Shana said to me " Kim I dare you to take two shots of this". She pulls out a big bottle of Jameson Irish whiskey from a backpack between her and Jacob. I said to Shana " You do know I'm Irish right?" Shana said with a smile " Then you should know this whiskey". I said " Of course it's my favorite". Shana stands up and walks over to me handing me the bottle and a shot glass. Jane said " I have German in me". Kelly said " Me too it's the blue eyes". She winks at Jane then takes a drink of her beer. I open the bottle and pour a shot then down it. Mandi said to Jane " I'm also German". Mandi has long dark hair with curly ends and her eyes are a dark blue. Jane said to Shana " What do you have in you?" Shana said " I have German and Irish". I poured the second shot while they were talking and down it. I stand up and walk over to Shana giving her the bottle back. I walk back to my chair and sit down and we continue playing. Everyone started taking shots of the Jameson when the bottle landed on them by the time we were done I had five shots, Shana also had five, Jane had four, Kelly had four so did Mandi, Jacob had six so did Jason and Kyle cause it kept landing on them at the end. We are all a little drunk but we aren't wasted. We decided to walk back to the Sorority house across the street from the woods where a huge party is going on. We all around and stand in the front yard with the frat guys playing a game of beer pong with a bunch of hot sorority girls around them either playing beer pong or hanging out on the porch. We are standing infront of the left railing of the porch in the yard below. I spot a twenty-year old Sorority girl walking up to me as I stand with Dakota, Jane, Shana, Kelly and Mandi as the boys are playing beer pong with the frat guys. The girl has long blonde hair that is bright, her eyes are light brown and she's a little too skinny but she's beautiful. She said " Hey Beautiful. What's your name?" I said " Kim. What's yours?" She said with a flirty grin " What ever you want to call me Baby". Dakota said to the girl " Alison?" She looks at Dakota and said " What?" Dakota said " This is my girlfriend". Alison smiles at me then said to Dakota " You can share". Dakota puts her arm around me and said to Alison " Not happening". Alison rolls her eyes then looks at Jane. She said as she twirled the end of her hair " What about you cutie? Wanna have some fun?" Jane said " Sorry but I'm straight". Alison said " So am I. There is nothing wrong with experimenting that's what college is for". she winks at Jane. Jane said " No thanks I'm good". Alison scoffs she rolls her eyes then she storms off. Kelly said to Jane " Why did you turn that chick down? she was hot". Jane said " I don't like girls Kelly you know that". Kelly said with sarcasm " Could have fooled me". She's pointing out that fact that Jane kissed me when dared to by Kyle and Jason. Jane rolls her eyes and I whispered in her ear " Just ignore her she's still mad because she didn't get that threesome with me and you". Jane looks down at me and we giggle as Kelly looks at us with suspicion cause she didn't hear what I said to Jane because Shana and Mandi are standing between us. About fifteen minutes later Daynesha and Tonya come walking up with three girls that are two black and one is white. Daynesha walks up standing infront of Dakota while Tonya stands infront of me staring down at me. Dakota said to Daynesha as she stared up at her " Is there a problem?" Daynesha said with an attitude " Yeah I got a problem with this white bitch of yours!" Jane said " Don't call her that!" Dakota said to Daynesha " Leave now". She said " I ain't going anywhere until I break this little bitch in half!" She shoves me to the ground and I land on my back. Dakota shoves Daynesha making her take a step back. Jane helps me up and I walk up standing beside Dakota. I said as I looked up at Daynesha " She wants a fight she's got one". Daynesha laughs then snaps her fingers three more girls walk up standing behind me and Dakota. Jane said " That's not fair six against two". Daynesha said as she stared down at me " Let's see what you got whore!" She swings a punch and I duck. I come back up swinging a punch using telekinetic strike. My fist hits her in the nose and she exclaims as she flies to the ground on her back. Soon three girls are ganging up on Dakota as they swings punches and she swings back. I hear one coming up behind me and I throw my elbow back nailing her in the nose and she falls to the ground. I turn back around and Daynesha is up. She swings her fist nailing me in the stomach. I exclaim in pain and Jane runs up and punches Daynesha in the jaw making her stumble back a few steps. Mandi and Shana are helping Dakota while Kelly and Jane are helping me. A white girl comes running at me with a foldable metal chair over her head as she screams. Kelly runs up and jumps into the air high and drop kicks the metal chair making it smash against the girl's face. She drops to the ground like a sack of potatoes she is knocked clean out. We hear Jane behind us. We turn around and Jane is fighting two black girls who are her height. Jane has one in a headlock and the other one comes charging at her. Jane throws her leg up and kicks the girl in the nose making blood out her nose as she hits the ground on her side. She still has the other one in the headlock she gets free and punches Jane in the jaw hard she exclaims in pain. I run up and throw my leg up doing a roundhouse kick to the side of her head and she flies into the wooden railing breaking it on impact. All a sudden I'm punched from my blindside I exclaim as the hit lands on my cheek bone. I spin around and Daynesha tackles me onto the beer pong table scattering the cups of beer all over the table spilling the contents. She grabs me by the throat and squeezes with one hand. I spot a empty liquor bottle of Jose Cuervo on the table. I grab the neck of it and smash it over Daynesha's head as the frat guys cheer for me. I get up off the table and Daynesha is dazed by the hit. I swing my fist and punch her in the jaw she falls to the ground on her stomach and I just start kicking the shit out of her. I spot Dakota fighting with Tonya and a white girl, Kelly and Mandi fighting two black girls and Jane fighting two other white girls. I stop kicking her and she lays there. I said " I told you not to fuck with me". All a sudden I'm grabbed from behind by two people as Daynesha stumbles up they pin my arms behind my back. One girl said " Get her Nesha! beat that ass!" Daynesha comes at me swinging a punch that lands on my nose I exclaim in pain she goes to swing again and I jump up kicking my feet out and nailing Daynesha in the chest making her fall back. The two girls sling me across the beer pong table. I exclaim as I slide across it hitting the ground on my back. I get up and it's two black girls standing on the other side of the table. More girls have jumped in the fight. The one on the left with a small Afro said " Come on little bit show us what you got!" The second one with cornrows said " Yeah come on midget!!" They are very close to the other side of the table. I quickly reach up grabbing the back of their heads and slamming their faces on the table using my telekinetic strength. The table snaps in half as the girls just drop to the ground knocked out. I look up and see Dakota still fighting with Tonya while the ten girls are all knocked out on the front lawn. They are rolling around on the ground throwing punches. Tonya ends up on top of Dakota she swings a punch hitting her in the nose as she exclaims in pain. I see an opening and dash up tackling Tonya off of Dakota. We end up rolling down the hill by the house. Everyone quickly follows us and looks down at us as Tonya and I are up swinging punches. Tonya exclaims in anger as she swings a punch. I duck and punch her in the stomach as she exclaims in pain doubled over. I grab the back of Tonya's dreads and starts punching her in the face over and over again as she doubled over until I swing one last punch hitting Tonya in the jaw knocking her out as she fell to the ground on her back. Everyone cheers for me raising their beers in the air. After the brawl in the front yard we all left I drove Kyle home and I drove home it was 1:00 am when I got home my parents are at work like always. I went upstairs to the hallway closet and pulled out a rag. I closed the door and walked to the bathroom turning the light on. I walked up to the sink and turned the cold water on putting the rag under it to get it wet. I turn off the water and place the rag on my busted lip. My left cheekbone has a small bruise on it and I have a hand print on my throat along with some scratches. I take the rag off my lip and see the blood. I folded it and wipe my nose with it to clean the blood off. I toss the rag in the laundry hamper behind me and walk to my room. I take off my blue jean jacket and lay it on the chair between my dresser and vanity. I walk over to my bed and sit down taking off my shoes and sliding them under my bed then I get up walking over to the door where I grab my towel and walk back to the bathroom and take a shower cause I'm sore from fighting all of those girls. After my shower I went to bed.
