Chapter 64

P.O.V/ Kim Austin:

It's been almost two weeks since Debby and I witnessed the fist fight between Mom and Terri that resulted in Mom beating her until she was unconscious. Mom and I got into a screaming match over her not agreeing with Terri for having sex with Victoria because she's a woman. For the first time in my life I screamed in my Mom's face.. and said things to her I never thought I'd ever have to say.. I regret talking to her like that.. but she was way out of line and I had to put her back in place. Because it was not right at all for her to react that way and explode in anger like that. The back of Terri's head smacked the floor and that's what knocked her out and Mom was still hitting her. The doctors said that Terri has a mild concussion from her head hitting the floor like that. She was having symptoms from the concussion. Such as Headaches, Dizziness, Ringing in ears and Sensitivity to lights and noises. But they have calmed down mostly she still has headaches though. But when a person's nose is broken their eyes black underneath appearing that they have two black eyes and Terri's eyes still look like that but it's not as dark as they were. I haven't talk to Mom this whole time neither has Terri or Debby cause we are all pretty upset with her. Terri still can't believe that Mom did that to her especially how long they've known each other. She's more heartbroken than anything because Mom was suppose to be Terri's bestfriend. Jesse was upset when she saw Terri's face and asked what happened. Terri told her that she got hit in the face by something that fell while we were out on the mission. She didn't want to tell Jesse that Mom beat her up because she's only six and might not understand. Dad was out of town when all that happened and I called him and told him the truth and he drove home. I wasn't there when he got home but he called me a few hours later and explained to me what was going on. He said that he talked with Mom and that she's really sorry for the fight and regrets all of it. But Dad is upset with her because she hit me too when he had forbid her to ever use that kind of discipline with me as a child. He didn't know about the last time she hit me when I was fourteen because she begged me not to tell him but I'm an Adult now and she hit me again because she was angry and I refuse to let her or anyone else put their hands on me like that.. Mostly because of Kelly.. But she's my Mom and she's not supposed to treat me like that.. and now that I'm adult she should give me the respect I give her. I regret screaming at her like I did and maybe I shouldn't have hit her.. but I didn't hit her in the face.. Dad gave her an ultimatum to talk with a Therapist or they will get a divorce if she doesn't change her ways. He is upset about the whole situation with her beating up Terri, for fighting with me and for rudely judging Terri because of Victoria only because that's the way that her parents raised her to believe that is wrong when it's not. It doesn't matter if people are gay because love is love and it has no gender. My Dad feels the same way I do he isn't gay but doesn't hate someone because of who they are and that was how his parents raised him to not hate people because of your feelings, opinions or religions. Mom is in the process of finding a Therapist. I believe she has a lot of bottled up anger towards her parents especially her Mom over the way she treated her growing up. Grandmom was hard on her and did hit Mom in the face when she didn't listen or back talked her which is not right. Mom was kind of hard on me too but she didn't hit me until that first time in my room when I was fourteen. She tried not to treat me the same way cause if she did I would be just like her and that's what I feared. I know when I have a kid or kids that I will never raise them like that but no parent is perfect they all make mistakes. Today is Monday October 27, 1986, I'm in my Math class better known as Calculus. At first the class was small but a few Professors moved to another Colleges and some students got moved to our room. I'm excited cause now Kyle is in here with me so is Kat. But for my English class Kelly was moved in it along with Mandi. I'm proud of them for trying and getting along with me and the others but that doesn't mean I will ever turn my back on one of them. After my English class was over I walked to the Student Union with Kelly and Mandi. On the way there Kelly and Mandi talk about what they are gonna dress Kevyn up as for Halloween. Mandi said " I still think Yoda would be cute". Kelly rolls her eyes and said " Nerd" as she giggled evilly. Mandi said " You love me though". Kelly said " I don't know. I'm starting to rethink that". Mandi smacks Kelly in the arm and gives her a glare. Kelly giggles evilly at the smack. She said " I'm not dressing my kid up as.. what ever the hell Yoda is". Mandi said " Actually his species is unknown". Kelly said " I'm thinking Scooby Doo she loves watching it". I said " Freddy Krueger minus the glove". Kelly said " That could be cool". Mandi said " Yeah then she will really look like the Spawn of Satan". she said with an evil giggle as Kelly playful shoved her shoulder. Kelly said as she walked beside me " Freddy it is". We walk in the cafeteria and stand in line. Mandi smiles as she checks Kelly out as she stood infront of her. Mandi smacks Kelly on the butt and she grins as looks back at Mandi over her shoulder. Mandi holds Kelly's waist from behind and whispers in her ear " I'm so fucking you tonight". Kelly grins as she puts her hands on top of Mandi's. She said " If Kevyn goes to bed on time then you might still have a chance". The line moves and we get our lunch. I got a turkey sandwich on a sub bun with a small bag of plain chips and a can of Pepsi. Kelly got a slice of pizza, a small bag of Cool ranch Doritos and a can of Dr. Pepper. Mandi got a salad, a bottle of water and a small can of Pringles. As we sat and ate Kyle, Jason, Jane, Shana, Jacob, Kat and James soon join us. James is studying for a two year associate's degree to be an HVAC Technician and Kat for a four year degree in Marketing same degree Kelly's cousin Victoria has.
