Chapter 34

P.O.V/ Kim Austin:

I was fired from my job at the Dairy Queen because of Kelly starting that fight with Ashley. But what made things worse was Greg also fired Shana. He had no reason to fire us when we weren't involved in the fight in the first place but since Kelly was my girlfriend he fired me and when Shana disagreed with his decision to fire me he fired her as well. Shana and I got into an argument for the first time out in the parking lot where she blamed me for Kelly's actions and said that I always let Kelly treat me like shit and that I should dump her. After Shana left I seen Kelly being thrown out of the mall by security she rudely flipped them off as she laughed about it and it pissed me off even more. Kelly and I ended up in a screaming match in the parking lot, She was trying to say that what she did in there helped but it didn't it made everything worse. I was sick of it so I broke up with her in the parking lot and she got even more angry refusing the break up but I was done. After arguing with her more I drove home balling my eyes out cause of all that just happened. When I got to my house Kelly pulled up behind my car in hers. I went inside slamming the door in her face but she kicked it in and came in anyways. She backhanded me to the floor and Zeke attacked her biting her arm holding on. She flung him off and he slide into the living room I lost it and attacked Kelly in a fit of rage. I yelled that I hated her as I beat her up. She kicked me off and my back hit the corner of the door frame that leads into the living room she got up and kicked me in the stomach hard where I fell to the floor on my side and she just started kicking me over and over until she suddenly stopped and stormed out the door slamming it behind her as I layed there in pain. I made my way over to Zeke and he was fine I checked him more and nothing was broken thank god. Kelly and I have been broken up for a whole month at first we argued for a week but Kelly broke down and cried begging for me to take her back. She hardly ever does that and when she does it gets to me. I told her that we will work on things and she was fine with that. Today is Friday April 13, 1984; my sixteenth birthday is Wednesday I'm going to apply for my driver's license and then I can drive anywhere without an adult but I did that anyways cause the police don't care. Kelly wants to go see Friday the 13th Final Chapter at the drive-in tonight. I know right? we're gonna go see Friday the 13th on Friday 13th pretty funny. I also have a job interview at Taco Bell in West Town Mall on Saturday hopefully I get it cause not having a job sucks. If you're wondering Shana and I are friends again but we are becoming friends slowly. She apologized for blaming me for Kelly but made it clear that she doesn't like her and that I shouldn't take her back. Speaking of Kelly, She's been on her best behavior surprisingly she had a few outbursts but not towards me. I'm on my way to school, I'm coming down Woodland Avenue where I get to the school turning up the hill in between the hospital and the school I turn right into the back parking lot driving down and parking beside Kelly's car as she is at her trunk selling kids weed. I put the car in park and turn it off pulling out the keys. I put the keys in the pocket of my dark blue jean jacket and grab my black backpack in the passenger seat. I pull down the mirror and run a brush through my hair that goes past my shoulders. My hair is a mixture of blonde and brown I always get asked if it's dyed. I reach over and open the glove box and put the brush inside then close it back. The interior color of my car is blue which I thought was really cool. I get out and walk over to Kelly standing at her trunk. She's wearing her blue jean jacket, a black t-shirt that has the band members of Kiss on it that says world tour 83-84, a pair of high waisted Guess blue jeans and her grey and red Reeboks. I'm wearing my dark blue jean jacket, a dark grey t-shirt that says Hold on loosely 38 Special with a motorcycle under it in white letters, a pair of high waisted Ralph Lauren blue jeans and my black and white Adidas Forums that are low tops. Kelly looks over at me and smiles as I walk over standing beside her. She said " Hey sexy". she winks at me and I can't help but blush. She steps closer as I look up at her. She leans in kissing me softly and I kiss her back for a second then pull away. She looks at me then said " Sorry habit". I said " No it's fine. It's just been a while since we've kissed". Kelly doesn't seem to like that I can tell by the look in her eyes. I said " But we can maybe make out in the car at the drive-in?" She smiles at me. I see Jane's car pass by us and park on the other side of Kelly's. She gets out closing the door and walks over to us with her grey backpack. She doesn't know about the fight at my house with Kelly nobody does. All Jane knows is that Kelly got me and Shana fired from the Dairy Queen and she isn't happy with Kelly for it either. Jane looks at us and said " Are you two back together?" I said " No". but Kelly said " Yes". Jane looks at both of us and I said " We are working on things". Jane said " If you say so". with sarcasm. Kelly said " What's that suppose to mean?" Jane said as she gave Kelly a serious stare " You know exactly what it's means". Kelly said " I didn't mean to get them fired and Ashley started the fight". Jane rolls her eyes at Kelly. I said to change the subject " So are you and Jason going to the drive-in tonight to see Friday the 13th Final Chapter with us?" Jane said " Yeah we are excited to see it since it's gonna be the last one". Kelly said " They always say that but make another one".
