Chapter 89

P.O.V/ Kim Austin:

Two Months Later..

It's been two months since Kelly teamed up with Darla who possessed Mom and took off with that book full of facts about Spirits. We had to find a way to get Darla out of Mom so Terri performed an Exorcism and evicted Darla from Mom's body. Afterward, Mom was able to snatch the book and finally read the spell to scare off the other dark spirits from the Junkyard. I was fighting with Kelly on a tall stack of crushed cars when Shana intervened and jumped inside of Kelly turning into that Psionic energy. Kelly was struggling on the ground as she forced Shana out of her body through her mouth. Shana returned to herself and Kelly was left sick to her stomach cause Shana was moving around inside her and it shook up her insides. Debby said that she did feel nauseous after Shana jumped inside her body that time at the underground bowling alley when Heather helped Maria turn her into a demon. Mom was safe and that's all that mattered in the end but before Kelly left she said that this was only the beginning. She just won't stop and we are gonna have to vanquish her but that's easier said than done. It's Monday, June 17, 1991; It's Summer, Jane and Shana finished up their final exams last week and are graduating on Saturday, June 22nd. A couple of days after Jane's twenty-fourth birthday. Jane keeps saying she's getting old cause she's close to thirty. She has also been a little down lately that she hasn't gotten pregnant yet. She and Jason have been trying for the last year or so. She's not alone in feeling like that cause I have been also trying to get pregnant for last couple months now but it hasn't happened yet. It's been getting to me because I really wanna have a child with Kyle. It's lunchtime and I'm down at the Café with Dakota. I said, " So are you coming to Jane's birthday and the graduation?" Dakota said, " When is her birthday again?" I said, " It's the 20th". Dakota said, " I can't that day cause I'm leaving Wednesday to help my Dad move to a new house he bought here in Tennessee to be closer to me". I said " What city is he moving to?" Dakota said, " Cookeville.. is about an hour and thirty minutes from Knoxville". I said with a smile " I'm glad he's moving back to be closer to you". Dakota said " Things didn't work out with the woman he was dating there. He had moved back when I went off to College and met her at the local bar. They seemed to hit it off but Dad said that she became increasingly jealous of any woman he talked to even if they were just a friend so he finally had enough and told her he was done and was moving out of the house she owned ". I said " Yeah she sounds nuts I'm glad he cut her loose". Dakota said " Me too.. She couldn't stand the fact that Dad is friends with Mom and they do talk on the phone occasionally. Simon never had a problem with it but she did". I said " That's because Simon trusts your Mom and knows that there is nothing between your parents anymore. It sounds like that woman has been cheated on in the past which would explain the jealousy and the trust issues". Dakota said " You're probably right.. I'll be back Saturday though what time is the graduation ceremony?" I said " It starts at 3:00 pm". Dakota said " Okay cool I'll be back here before then cause my flight leaves at 9:00 am". I have let my thoughts wander and I'm dreading what Kelly is gonna do next after all she's already done so far. Dakota said " What's going on in that head of yours?" I said as I tried to lie " Nothing". But Dakota gives me that look and I said " I'm dreading what Kelly is gonna do next.. she has already caused a lot of damage and she's not gonna stop... Dakota, I'm really scared that one day she's gonna take it too far and someone I love dies because of her". Dakota put her hand on mine and said " We won't let that happen... you won't let it happen". I said as I started to cry " I know.. I sound paranoid but it's hard not to be when I know what Kelly is capable of doing.. and that scares me so much".. Dakota said " That bitch is gonna get what she deserves one day.. and we all are gonna be there when she does". Maybe Kelly is what Shana was sensing back when she had that premonition about death and destruction... Maybe Kelly is something we won't be able to stop.. or someone I won't be able to stop.. But we don't know that for sure because Shana had that premonition because of what Heather was planning to do at the Stadium that nearly got us all killed. I'm sorry I've seemed down lately but now I have to constantly look over my shoulder for the rest of my life and keep an eye on the ones I love.. Because I know Kelly will do anything she can to hurt me now that she can't have me. After our lunch break was over we walked back down to the office and got back to work. It's about 1:30 pm and I'm at my desk working when all of a sudden I feel a cold presence. The letters on the keyboard begin moving as if someone is typing. I look up at the screen that has the notepad opened. The letters appear on the screen saying " I see you, witch". I look back and spot Darla standing there she's see through. Nobody else can see her but me because humans can't see Spirits. I watch as a man passes straight through Darla as she grins evilly at me. I hear the keys moving again and look at the screen. It says " You can't hide from me.. I will always find you.. I'm everywhere.. and I'm watching you closely bitch". I see gold energy appearing in front of Darla and Rick appears staring her down. Darla grins evilly and a pair of dark energy wings expand from her shoulder blades and flap slowly as she stares at me evilly. She passes through the wall leading outside and flies up into the air. Rick turns and looks down at me sitting in the chair. He looks down at the keyboard as I look up at the screen. The letters that Darla typed disappear and the screen writes " Don't let her scare you, Kim.. I will always watch your back"... I feel my eyes tear up and I look up at him. He places his hand on top of mine but it passes straight through me. I type on the keyboard " I miss you, Rick"... I move my hands and look up at him. He looks down at the keyboard as I look up at the screen. The words appear on the screen " I miss you too Kim.." I look up at him and he smiles at me. A pair of gold energy wings expand from his shoulder blades and he flies up into the ceiling passing through it. I dry my face with a tissue and continue working. At 5:00 pm I leave the office heading to Walmart to grab a few things for dinner tonight. As I'm shopping I run into Jason and Jane shopping for party supplies. Jason is pushing the buggy as Jane walks beside him. They see me and smile, Jason stops the buggy beside me in the aisle. Jane hugs me, we don't get to see each other a lot nowadays because of working all the time. Jane said " How was your day at work?" I said, " It was okay until Darla showed up". Jane said " She came to your work?" I said, " Yeah she did the whole typing on the keyboard thing.. telling me that she's watching me closely". Jane said, " I wish there was a way to keep her away but we can't because she's a Spirit and can be anywhere". I said, " Rick appeared and she went away". Jane said " Rick scared Darla off?" I said, " Kind of.. it was more like he knew she was there and wanted to protect me". Jane said as she looked down at the ground " I still can't help but feel bad about what happened to him because of Kelly.." Jason said, " Yeah we had to put him in his bed like that and because of her he's now known as the guy who overdosed.. That still bothers me to this day". Jason said with a guilty expression. I said " She has done so much to everyone.. and we all let her get away with it back then because we were kids but she isn't getting away with anything else I promise.. She's after all of us because of me and I'll be damned if she hurts someone else I love".. Jane said " The minute I can get a chance I'm going after her ass as I should have years ago". I said " You were always brave and stood up to her back then unlike me who didn't and I let her continue to be in my life because I didn't stand up to her.. then when she got pregnant with Kevyn I had no choice but to deal with her even though I didn't want to". Jane said with a smile " You did it for Kyle.. and for Kevyn, so you could at least get to know her because she is Kyle's daughter". I said " Yeah.. and look where that went".. Jason and Jane give me looks of sympathy. I said " I'm sorry... I'm being a downer... Ever since Kelly attacked me and Mom I have had nothing but the fear of what she's gonna do next.. or who's she gonna hurt next". My eyes fill with tears. Jason and Jane both hug me as I have my arms around them. Jane looks at me and said " We all have your back... Everyone.. and we all love you so much". Jason smiles and puts his large hand on my face to comfort me. He says " We've got your back always.. little bit". He winks at me as I can't help but smile. Jane said " We all are gonna have so much fun at my party.. god I can't believe I'm halfway to thirty". She giggles. I said with a smile " I'm not far behind you". Jason puts his arm around Jane and I then said, " We'll grow old together.. all of us". We all giggle softly and smile. We say goodbye and continue shopping. After going through the checkout line I walked outside loaded the bags in my car and drove to my house. At 6:20 pm I'm walking in the door as Lance greets me with a meow. I walk to the kitchen and sit the bags down on the island counter then walk over to the pantry. I open the door on the right and pull out the container of food. I walk over to the table and sit the container down on the kitchen table. I open it pull out the scoop and put the food into the bowl. I step back putting the scoop back inside the container. Lance walks over and begins eating. I close the lid on the container walk back over to the pantry and put it back on the shelf. I close the door and start putting away the food. I go upstairs and take a shower, Afterward, I'm out and drying my hair with the hair dryer in the bathroom. I'm wearing a dark grey tank top and a pair of black sleep pants with white drawstrings. I put on some deodorant and walk out of the bathroom turning the light off as I walk out. As I walk down into the foyer I hear the front door open revealing Kyle in his work clothes. He smiles at me as we meet in the middle of the foyer. We kissed and I said with a smile " Go shower and I'll start dinner". He smiled and said " What are you making?" I said " Fried pork chops, Mashed Potatoes, and green beans". Kyle smiled and said, " Yum.. I can't wait I'm starving". He walks upstairs and up to the room to shower. As I'm cooking I still feel depressed because of worrying about what Kelly is gonna do... I've been really trying not but it's hard... Kyle knows I have been depressed lately and has been there for me like I was when Kelly forbid us from seeing Kevyn. He does still get sad sometimes but he's learned to accept it and deal with the situation because we can't change it even though we wish we could. About ten minutes later, Kyle enters the kitchen wearing a white t-shirt and a pair of black and white sleep pants he smiles as he stands beside me and helps me cook. A little while later we are done cooking and are at the dinner table eating and chatting. I said " How was your day?" He said, " Pretty good.. it was very hot outside today". I said, " Yeah it was already pretty hot when Dakota and I went on our lunch break". Kyle was looking at me and said " How was your day?" I said, " It was okay".. He said, " I'm sorry that you're scared of what Kelly is gonna do.. I am too.. but we can't be for the rest of our lives". I said, " I know.. and I won't always feel like this.. it's still fresh in our minds though". Kyle put his hand on mine and said " I love you, Kim"... I said, " I love you too".. After dinner, we cleaned up the kitchen and went upstairs to get in bed for the night. We are in bed and under the covers watching Child's Play 2 which came out last year it was a great sequel to the first movie and it's just as creepy and scary. After the movie went off Kyle turned off the TV and I lay there with my head on his left shoulder. We talked for a little bit then ended up making out. After a while, I'm on top of him as he holds my hips as I'm slowly moving up and down on his erection. I moan softly feeling it go deeper and deeper. Kyle groans in pleasure as he feels me around his erection. He said softly " Faster baby".. I growl as I grab him by the throat and push my thumb into the side of his neck as I increase the pace making our skin slap together fast and hard. The bed squeaks as I continue.
