Chapter 84

P.O.V/ Kim Austin:

One month later..

It's been a month since the battle in the underground Bowling Alley that resulted in Jane vanquishing Maria. Shana and Evil Debby were fighting while this was happening. Shana turned into Psionic Energy and jumped inside Debby's body to absorb the demon elixir out of her and into her own body. The Psionic Energy shot out of Debby's back and landed in the middle lane of Bowling lanes. The energy reconstructed Shana and she lay there motionless until she woke up gagging as if she was about to puke. Shana had rolled over on her hands and knees as she continued gagging she opened her mouth and released red demonic energy then she fainted and fell to the floor on her stomach. Debby had Shana in her arms as she begged for her to stay with us... That she was way too young to die... Terri tried to heal Shana but nothing happened which made us all more scared we were thinking she was dying. But she wasn't she was regenerating herself by using Psionics. She forced out the demon elixir from her body and it turned into that red demonic energy. She looked pale and sick because it took a lot of energy out of her and she started using her Psionics to regenerate her body enough to gain some strength back. It's not like Terri's healing powers it's more mental and Shana said she can only do that to herself if she has unknowingly ingested or had been forced to take a substance but if she doesn't do it fast enough then she could die. By doing this she can get it out of her body but it doesn't heal her completely she has to recover several days afterward to stop feeling the effects. Shana saved Debby from being vanquished when Maria was. Shana had waited the right moment to jump into Debby's body which was right when Jane drove the metal pole through Maria's chest. Maria is gone for good and Debby is no longer in danger or has to look over her shoulder anymore. It's Monday, May 21, 1990; Some things have happened in a month but good things. I got the job at Dodge Accounting firm and I start my training next month which is also when Graduation is. Kyle and I started moving into our new house the day after Maria was vanquished by Jane. With the help of our friends, we were moved in by the 30th of April which was Debby's birthday so Jane and I cooked a big dinner for Debby, Jack, and the others and we had a party. Shana's birthday was the 28th and she didn't have time to celebrate it that day because she was too busy with classes so we made the party for Shana and Debby. After all, their birthdays are so close together. Shana and Debby have grown even closer since the underground Bowling alley battle but they have always been close. Lori and Shawn moved to Tennessee in 1966 from Lansing, Michigan. Lori was three months pregnant with Shana when Shawn started working at the hospital. Debby was nine months pregnant with Jane when she graduated College then she gave birth to Jane a week later. She started working at the hospital a few weeks later. There she became friends with Shawn and Lori. So technically Me, Jane and Shana have all known each other since we were babies because of our parents being friends. The three of us had sleepovers when we were kids and preteens but as we got older the sleepovers stopped because of being busy with high school Shana started dating Jacob in 1980 then I started dating Kelly in 1982. Jane and I kind of drifted apart from Shana when high school started and that's why I took the job at Dairy Queen to reconnect with her. Final exams start today, we had our last classes in the first week of May. It's quiet as I'm in a room taking my first exam of the day. I'm in one of those classrooms with the seats designed like an auditorium. I'm focusing on my exam in front of me with multiple choice questions. I hear the door to the classroom open but I ignore it and keep my eyes on my paper. I start smelling that Chanel #5 perfume and I can't stand the smell of it. I look over and see Heather smiling at me as she sits next to me. I roll my eyes and look back at my paper. She leans forward and whispers in my ear " Good luck beautiful". I cringe at her being so close, I turn and look she's starting her exam. I hate that she's sitting next to me but I can't do anything about it and she can't mess with me because of the exam so I pretend she isn't there. Later on that day after an Exam, I'm walking to the Student Union with Jane, Shana, Kat, and Karen. We are all talking about Shana and Jacob's wedding that will be held in the backyard of mine and Kyle's new house. Shana said, " I'm still so nervous.. I can't believe I'm getting married". Karen said, " It's normal I was nervous too.. I'm still trying to get used to writing Karen Watson instead of Karen Trenton". Shana said, " Yeah that will take some getting used to writing a new last name". I smiled at her and said, " It's gonna be so beautiful I can already see it". Shana gave me a smile then her face turned to a sad expression and then She said " I still can't help but think of my Dad.. He would love to be here to walk me down the aisle". Jane puts her arm around Shana to comfort her as we all walk. We make it there and go through the line to get our lunch. We are sitting there talking and having our lunch when Kyle, Jason, Jacob, Jimmy, Declan, Julia, Holly, Shane and Dana show up. They all sit down with their lunch. Karen is watching Shane from across the table as he kisses Holly. She still can't seem to trust Shane but who can blame her when he was nothing but an asshole to Holly. Karen has said she isn't buying his new act. A few minutes later Heather walks in with Ryan and Joey. As they pass by they all stare at us with evil looks. Heather has informed us that Donna is out to kill Jane for vanquishing Maria but she hasn't confronted her yet. Donna will be next if she's not careful.
