Chapter 29

P.O.V/ Kim Austin:

Today is Thursday December 15, 1983; Things were going fine until a new girl showed up at school well two new girls. Apparently Evian Miller has a identical twin sister named Erin Miller they're parents are separated so Evian lives with her mom while Erin lives with their dad. Erin is a little bit taller than Evian and she weighs more. Evian is 5'9" and Erin is 5'11" that's the only way you can tell them apart. The other new girl is Amy Edwards she is my age and her birthday is the day after mine which makes me a day older. She and Rick have been dating for three weeks now ever since she came to our school. Rick is crazy about her. She seemed fine at first but as each day passed she began to act different she reminds me of Kelly but she is worse than her. At times Kelly can control herself but Amy can't and she's getting worse and I can tell that Rick is no longer happy but he doesn't want everyone else to see that so he continues to stay with Amy. I know right? reminds you of me with Kelly. I know I don't have much room to talk but I'm afraid for him because Amy gives me a bad feeling. I'm at my house waiting for Kelly to come pick me up. I finally passed my driving test now I just need a car and I'm still saving up money. I'm wearing my dark blue jean jacket, a black t-shirt that says Motley Crue shout to the devil it's from their September 83' tour, a pair of Jordache high waisted blue jeans and my black Nike Pegasus. I notice in the mirror that these Jordache jeans are a little tight in the butt but not too bad. I pick up my black Jansport backpack off my bed and walk out my room closing the door behind me. I walk downstairs in the foyer and Mom is sitting on the couch drinking a cup of coffee while she smokes a Marlboro cigarette. I walk by the TV and She said " Honey don't you think those jeans are a little tight?" with a smile. I'm standing at the end of the couch I pick up my textbook and binder and unzip my backpack putting them inside. I zip it back and said to Mom " Maybe a little". I smile and She said " Are you sure you're not wearing those for some boy?" She is teasing me in a playful way. I said " Maybe". with a wink. She smiles and said " What's his name?" I said " It's a crush I'm not suppose to tell". She smiles at me and I smile back. Mom said " Well ask him out then". I said " He has a girlfriend". Mom said " I'm sorry sweetie". I said " It's fine maybe one day if he's single". I hear a horn and I said " Are you working tonight?" She said " Yeah I go in at 3pm and get off at 5am then I'm off for a few days". I walk over and lean down kissing her cheek. I said " I love you mom". She said " I love you too baby have a good day". I walk into the foyer and up to the door I open it and walk out on the porch I lock the door with my house key cause mom is about to take a shower. I walk down to the car and get inside closing the door. Kelly leans in for a kiss and I put my hand on her right shoulder stopping her. She said " What is it?" I said " My mom is home and could be watching out the window". Kelly leans back in the seat and looks over at the window. She said " I don't see her". I said " Still I'd rather her not see us kiss". Kelly rolls her eyes and shifts into gear pulling off down the road where she stops at the stop sign. She leans over putting her hand on the back of my head and pulls me into a kiss. She pulls away and said " Happy?" in a sarcastic tone. I said " Kelly I'm sorry I just don't want my parents to know". She said " It's whatever I'm use to it Mandi was like that too". I said " Mandi is a closeted bisexual?" She said " Yeah she's like you scared of what mommy and daddy think". We arrive at school ten minutes later, She pulls up the hill between the hospital and the school and turns right into the back parking lot. 

She parks her car beside Rick's white 1983 Monte Carlo him and Amy are leaned against the trunk making out. Kelly puts the car in park and shuts off the engine. She pulls out the keys and puts them in her jacket pocket. We both get out closing the doors behind us walking around to the back of the car. Kelly looks over at Rick and Amy still making out Kelly said " Damn are you two trying to swallow each other?" They stop kissing and Amy said " Aww come on now don't be jealous because you and Kim can't make out in public". Kelly said " Really?" with sarcasm. She turns to me and grabs my face pulling me into a passionate kiss and I kiss her back with passion. We stop and look over at her Kelly said " You were saying?" with sarcasm. Rick is giggling quietly as Amy smiles sarcastically. Kelly is wearing her blue jean jacket, a black and white long sleeve baseball shirt that says AC DC, a pair of dark high waisted Guess jeans and her grey and red Reeboks. Rick is wearing his black leather jacket, a black and white long sleeve flannel, a pair of dark blue Wrangler jeans and a pair of black Nike blazers high tops. Amy is wearing a black jean jacket, a white v-neck t-shirt, a pair of dark high waisted Levi jeans and a pair of black low top Chuck Taylor's. As we stand there in silence I spot Brody and Dominic walking our way as I'm watching them I spot Rick out the corner of my eye looking at me. When I look at him he looks away and Amy gives him a glare she then ominously looks at me with a smirk. Brody and Dominic stand infront of us. Kelly said " What do you two fags want?" Rick snickers at the comment. Brody said " We want some weed from you dykes". Kelly said " We aren't lesbians dumbass". Brody said " Whatever". He hands Kelly a ten dollar bill and she turns around opening the trunk and the secret compartment. As she's doing this Brody holds up a dollar to me and said " How about a show?" with a perverted smile. I roll my eyes and Rick said to him " Hey man come on now that's not right". Brody looks over at him and said " Mind your own business asshole". He looks back at me and said " Come on now don't be shy". Kelly slams her trunk and turns around. She kicks Brody in the nuts and he exclaims in pain as he hits the ground on his knees. She tosses Dominic the bag of weed and he catches it. She growls as she grabs Brody's chin making him look up at her. She said " Keep it up motherfucker and you're done". She let's him go and he runs off with Dominic. Kelly leans up against the trunk and said to me " I'm gonna have to lock you up a lot of guys flirt with you". Amy said with sarcasm " Yeah even the ones that have girlfriends". I look over at her and she smirks at me. Kelly said " She's a fucking dick magnet". I roll my eyes at their comments. Amy said " So Kim you've never been with a guy?" I said " No I haven't". Amy said " So does that mean you're a lesbian?" I said " No I'm attracted to guys too". Amy said with sarcasm " Interesting". Okay she's starting to get on my nerves. After lunch we are all walking the track together all but Rick and Amy who are sitting up in the bleachers from the looks of it they are arguing about something. Kelly said to me " Why do you keep looking up there at Rick and Amy?" I look at Kelly walking beside me. I said " They look like they are fighting". Kelly said " So? why do you care?" with sarcasm. I said " Cause Rick is my friend and I want him to be happy". Kelly said " It's none of your business Kim". I said " I know and I'm not trying to make it my business but something is just not right about that girl". Kelly said " I don't see nothing wrong with her". Of course she doesn't. We walk back up to the bleachers and Kelly opens her blue jean backpack and searches for something. She is frantically searching through it I said " What is it?" Kelly said " My money is missing". I said " How much was it?" Kelly said " Like $400". I look around and see a good amount of students out here. I said " It could have been anyone". Kelly looks up at Amy and Rick who aren't talking to each other at the moment. Kelly said " Did you two see anyone get in my backpack?" Amy said " I wasn't really paying attention". Rick said " But those two douche bags Brody and Dominic were sitting infront of your seat". I said " You think they took your money?" Kelly said " I wouldn't put it pass them". She sees them walking the track and storms off down the bleachers. I follow her down as Rick and Amy follow me onto the track. Kelly is walking up behind Brody and Dominic at a fast pace She said to them " Hey! which one of you fuckers has my money!" They stop walking and turn around. Brody said " We don't have your money all I have is the money for your girlfriend to strip for me". Rick shoves Brody back and gets in his face. He said " Stop talking to her like that airhead!" Brody said " Damn dude you're really pissed over a girl that's not your girlfriend". Amy said in an annoyed tone to Rick " You know Kim can take up for herself she doesn't need you". Rick isn't paying attention as him and Brody stare each other down. Kelly gets in between them standing infront of Rick as Amy pulls him by his arm. Kelly said to Brody " Give me the money right now". He said " I don't have it". he giggles at Dominic. Kelly grits her teeth in anger then She said " Last chance give me the fucking money". Brody said " Fine you wanna see if I do?" He pulls the pockets out of his blue jeans then said " See nothing". Dominic does the same to his jeans. Brody said " I believe you owe me an apology. I'll take a kiss". He puckers up his lips at Kelly and she moves her face back in disgust. He makes kissy noises and Kelly growls grabbing the back of his hair. She said as she held his head " Kiss the ground bitch!" She growls as she forcefully slams him to the ground his face smacks the cement ground. He is instantly knocked out cold and lays there on the ground motionless. Dominic said " Brody!" Kelly and Amy are both laughing wickedly while Rick and I aren't. Dominic is on the ground as he turns Brody over on his back there is a small amount of blood on the ground. It's from his nose that is busted badly and scraped. Dominic is shaking Brody trying to wake him up after about three minutes he comes to. Brody raises up and sees his tooth laying on the ground by his leg. He opens his mouth and he has a missing side tooth. Dominic helps him up and they run away. I said " Did you have to throw him to the ground so violently?" Kelly said in a hateful tone " What? he fucking deserved it! I know they have my money and I'm gonna get it back no matter what!" Amy said " If you ask me he got everything he deserved". Kelly smiles at her evilly. Amy said " And I know a clever way to get your money back". Kelly said " You do?" Amy said " Yeah I'll tell you in the parking lot after school".
