As they were checking the fingerprints, Oscar went to the balcony. His eyes were bright red and he felt like he couldn't take it anymore. As soon as he reached the balcony, away from everyone's eyes, Oscar fell to his knees with a thud. He really couldn't stay strong anymore. Every second was killing him.

For the first time, tears fell out of his eyes. He was alright until he saw those reports. They were so detailed with pictures of the previous victims. He cried. It hurt so much that he put a hand over his chest and clenched it.

" Please... Please be alright... Please protect her God...  Please help me find her... " Oscar begged on his knees. He never knew what desperation meant before. He was fearless of death. He was a person who had the most colourful life in the eyes of others but in his own eyes, behind that colourful world was nothing. It was all blank.

He never felt like he was needed by someone or loved in a way he would want to stay no matter what. Because of his identity, he was not much scared to die either. He had the attitude of a person who would do everything they possibly could in a tough situation. But if he still failed, he would not regret it. Even if that concerns his life.

But for the first time, he was desperate for something. For the first time, he actually come to love someone in a way that he would not hesitate to give up all the small and big things including his life for her.

It was almost time they were done so Oscar got up with some trouble. He wiped his face and looked out of the window. Because it was so dark, he could barely see that there were woods behind the house and at the end, they lead to a lake.

He could not see a single light there. So he thought there was probably no house in the woods where he could have hidden them. However, suddenly, the moonlight brightened like how it would when it was a full moon when it was barely half-moon that day and Oscar saw that somewhere in the middle, there was an empty path. There were no trees in that area. It looked like a very ordinary path but that emptiness gave him an ominous feeling. It was like someone was helping him. Showing him a path. The moonlight showed him a path. Gave him a clue.

Just then, his subordinate came to say they were done. Oscar quickly went in. Levi looked into his eyes and said seriously.

" The fingerprints are matching!"

Hearing that, hope ignited in Oscar's eye along with the coldest glint. He ordered.

" Everyone, be on standby outside. I have something to talk about with Levi."

Levi saw the seriousness in Oscar's eyes and nodded toward his subordinates. Everyone went out. Oscar took him to the balcony. He wanted to show Levi what he saw but surprisingly, the moonlight was so dim they couldn't see it anymore.

" Levi, while I was standing here, I saw that somewhere in the middle, there was an empty path. There was no tree or house. It is very strange. It's giving me an ominous feeling. Let's go there!"

Levi looked into the woods and he could not see anything clearly. He couldn't understand how Oscar could see anything in this dark. Oscar was a mess and Levi was scared that Oscar was so desperate to find her that he may be not thinking clearly. However, when he saw the clearness in Oscar's eyes, he said.

" Okay, but you go there first with your team. I will be there soon. I will look around the house a little more. maybe we will find something."

Oscar didn't want to waste any time so he agreed and took off with his team. He warned everyone to be very cautious and silent so that they don't alert the enemy.

With torches in their hands, around 30 people went into the woods and searched for an empty place. They also had night vision goggles. Oscar was at his fastest as he searched with all he had while Levi was also doing his best. He didn't want to miss any clue they could find.

On the other side, a strong kick landed right on her wound. The pain was so unbearable that Victoria fell down. However, before she could even register her pain, continuous kicks landed on her. Again and again. Victoria was badly beaten up. She didn't know how many ribs she broke while she also had several external wounds.

After beating her up a lot, he finally stopped. Victoria's wound was so messed up that she bled badly. She felt a little blurry but quickly shook her head. She couldn't faint. She sweated so badly that it was dripping on the floor. Enduring the pain was taking a toll on her but she continued doing her best.

Yet she was taking it bravely. She was enduring the pain with all she had. Not many people could endure pain. A lot of men couldn't and a few women could also not endure it. However, most women can endure any pain when it really matters to them. Women are born warriors. They can endure the pain of giving birth because they are strong enough. It's not their body that is strong, it is their will and no one could beat them to it.

Somehow, with sweat dripping, staggering she stood up. She held on to her wound and panted heavily as she looked up at him with blurry eyes. Not giving up yet.

However, when Teddy saw this, he was really infuriated. Her willpower, her guts to go against him, her stern eyes that don't waver no matter what really pissed him off.

He looked around madly and picked up the long wrench that was the nearest and swung it with all he had towards Victoria's head.

Victoria saw him picking up the wrench and approaching her. She shook her head to clear her vision and tried to dodge. However, before her body could move, he was in front of her swinging the wrench at her. She closed her eyes instinctively.

Maybe this was how far she could reach. Maybe she overestimated herself. Maybe she was wrong to make Rosie play along with her. Maybe she was wrong to encourage her to fight. Maybe she was wrong and only put her in more danger.

' Please God, save them all. Please save whoever is still alive. Please save Rosie. Please help me... '

A single teardrop slipped out of the corner of her eyes and silently, fell from her jaw.

" Thud!"
