Chapter 69: My Consent.

Oscar picked up Victoria and took her to her room. She fell asleep in the car. He ignored the stares of people as he couldn't see anything other than Victoria. Carefully, he took her to the room. He made sure to not disturb her. 

Finally, they reached the room. He gently put her down on the bed. He was unwilling to let go of her but he couldn't sleep with her without her consent. Thinking about her, he controlled himself and let go of her. After wrapping her in the quilt, Oscar began to back away. He really wanted to kiss her on the forehead but he was still scared.

In the end, he turned around and walked to the door. His heart felt like it was cracking apart. He was scared once he went out, he would never walk back again. However, he still couldn't bear any hostility from Victoria and if she came to hate him because of something like this, he would never forgive himself. 

Victoria was tired. She had jet lag. She was totally out of her mind. The only thing that kept her going was her insomnia. When she saw Oscar, she suddenly felt so relieved that she fell asleep in the car. 

However, she suddenly woke up from her nightmare where she felt Oscar disappearing again. As soon as she opened her eyes, Victoria saw Oscar leaving her room. Barefoot she run out after him and just when he went out of the door, she hugged him tightly from behind. 

Oscar suddenly felt a strong force crash into him. He almost lost his balance. But when he realised it was Victoria, he quickly turned around.

" What's wrong?! Are you okay?! Did I hurt you?" Victoria was the one who hit him but he was asking her if she was hurt. He only cared about her.

" Please don't go... " Victoria asked with pleading eyes. 

Oscar was stunned. He stared at her hypnotizing eyes and asked in a daze.

" Where am I going?"

" Oscar, don't disappear again, Okay?"

" I'll never disappear unless you want me to," Oscar said deeply.

" I never wanted you to disappear!"

Victoria said emotionally. Oscar held her hand and led her to her bed. Then he again let her lay down. 

" I'll stay with you until you fall asleep, okay?" 

" No. Sleep with me. Stay with me."

Oscar was surprised. He thought she wanted him to stay with her until she falls asleep because she may be scared of the new environment. After all, he couldn't possibly dream of sleeping with her.

" A-Are you sure?" 

" Yes... "

Oscar stiffly laid down beside her. He stayed arm's length away from her. However, as soon as he laid down, Victoria buried herself in his arms and slept.

Feeling his stiff body, Victoria owned her eyes and asked from his arms.

" Oscar, do I make you uncomfortable?"

" N-No."

" Then why? You always seem so stiff around me. Tell me honestly, did something change in this past year?"

" No. I just don't want to be inconsiderate. If I lose you again, I won't be able to get back up in my life again."

" Oscar, you do understand that I love you, right? I really do so please don't be like this. You can do whatever you want with me. You don't need to ask for my consent because you have it the moment I said I love you."

Oscar stated deeply at her for a while. Then he approached her and kissed her.

" Okay. I'll listen to you."

Victoria kissed him back with a smile.

" Good night, Oscar."

" Good night, My love." Oscar left a good night kiss on her forehead.

Victoria buried herself in his arms and fell asleep.

Her eyes opened around 4 in the morning. Unexpectedly, she saw Oscar gazing at her. His eyes were slightly red.

She was stunned. Did he just stare at her all night?

" Good morning," Oscar said sweetly. His eyes had so much love in them that Victoria felt her heart flutter.

Victoria placed her hand on his cheek and touched his face.

" Hmm. Did you stare at me all night?"

" Yess."

" Don't you feel sleepy?"

" No."

Victoria gazed back at him for a long time. Finally, she let go and said.

" Oscar, I promise it's not a dream. I will never let you go so don't worry. I will let you look at me as long as you want. But sleep for now. I am worried you will be tired later. Okay?"

" Okay... But I can't sleep without you. If you are getting up, I will stay with you. I'm used to sleeping less so don't think too much about it."

Oscar also had a hard time sleeping. And it has been going on since Victoria was in a vegetative state. He had severe insomnia.

" I am not going anywhere. I'll go back to sleep after you."

Oscar smiled. This time, Victoria shifted up so that she can embrace Oscar and hug him. Then she gently ran her hand through his hair.

Oscar didn't realise how fast he fell asleep. He couldn't believe he could fall asleep so easily and so fast.
