Chapter 70: Stop Blaming Yourself.

Victoria woke up at 9 in the morning. When her mind cleared, she looked beside her and what she saw was a handsome man embracing her. A warm smile swept up her face that was long lost. She gently touched his face as she thought.

' I never knew I would come to love someone so much... '

As she was enjoying the moment, her stomach grumbled strongly. Then she remembered how hungry she was. She practically did not take a bite yesterday. And after seeing Oscar, she forgot about everything else.

Victoria carefully got out of Oscar's embrace and put her feet on the ground.  Without making a noise, she went to her closet to grab some clothes. As she was looking for something to wear, a pair of hands suddenly wrapped around her waist. Her body went stiff as she was not used to it but as soon as she smelled Oscar's smell, she relaxed and smiled. 

" You're up so soon."

" Hmm. I felt you getting up and followed you."

" You should sleep more. You barely slept 5 hours."

" It's enough. I want to spend some time with you. I missed you a lot... " 

Victoria was surprised as she was not expecting to hear such a thing this early in the morning. However, her heart warmed up. 

" I missed you too... " Victoria leaned back on his chest. Oscar also wrapped his arms around her lovingly. 

" What were you doing?" Oscar asked.

" I was looking for clothes. Let's go eat after washing up."

Oscar suddenly pulled back and looked at her.

" Did you eat last night?"

" Ah... No."

" Shit! How could I not ask you that last night? I instead brought you home. Now you have starved all night!"

" Oscar, relax. It's not your fault, okay? Why are you so sensitive? You can't be so negative about things like this. It's my fault for not eating. How can it be yours?"

" It's a basic thing to ask if you have eaten or not? I should have been more careful. The doctor already said that you have to eat well."

" Oscar. It has been a year since then. I am totally fine now. And please stop blaming yourself for things like this. It's not a big deal. We can eat now. And don't just worry about me. Take care of yourself too."

Oscar didn't say anything. While Victoria was looking for something to wear, he swiftly took a bath and wore the same clothes as he didn't have an option. Then Victoria took a bath.

As soon as she was done, Oscar hurriedly took her out for breakfast. They took the taxi and he said the Japanese address. Victoria didn't think much about it. 

When they finally arrived at a five-star restaurant, Oscar brought her inside and let her sit on the balcony. It was a beautiful restaurant with a good view. After they sat down, the waiter came. 

Oscar asked Victoria.

" Is there anything you want to eat? Or anything you don't want to?"

" No pork or any such thing I never eat before. Just order chicken dishes or something."

" Okay."

Then Oscar talked with the waiter. Victoria was stunned. Oscar had such a beautiful Japanese accent. She didn't even know he could talk in Japanese. As she liked the Japanese language, she found him cool. After he was done ordering, she asked him.

" When did you learn Japanese?"

" Long ago. When I was a teenager. I wanted to learn new languages and Japanese was one of the languages that I learned. I liked it and I've also watched some animes in order to get a better understanding of it."

" Really? I didn't think you were the type of person to watch animes."

" I did. Though few."

" We have something in common. We can even watch it together."

" Yes."

The food was soon served. 

Victoria liked it a lot. Oscar just watched her eat as he enjoyed her reactions. This was the real Victoria. She was open and naive. Just like an innocent child set free to explore the world. Her smile was something he could die for.
