Victoria went to take care of some things but kept glancing their way. Christopher met Oscar. Oscar was worried about Victoria so he had been observing her. When he saw a strange man walk up to her, he kept his eyes on him in case.

When he saw Victoria hug him and talk so cheerfully, his heart froze for a second. Then he saw Victoria glance at him with love which calmed him down. He didn't know who this man was but he was probably someone important to her. Oscar didn't want to screw that up for her.

" Hi! You are Oscar, right? Victoria told me that you are the one she's marrying. I am Christopher. Her forever best friend. Nice to meet you." Christopher offered his hand to him. He held an inexplicable gaze as he observed Oscar.

Oscar instantly knew that Christopher was a sharp man. He may look like something but be something entirely else behind it. He was a sly man. Not necessarily bad. Just a complicated person people would prefer to be wary of. He had that fox nature you can say.

Hearing him and seeing the way Victoria's mood brighten all of a sudden, Oscar understood that he was the best friend she had been talking about. He looked at Christopher with just as much of a sharp gaze before finally taking his hand.

" She was disappointed that her best friend wasn't here yet."

A sharp glint flashed through Christopher's eyes as he shook it off with a smile and said.

" Well, everyone has some problems."

" Yeah. I was going to go there to bring you back for her and maybe help you solve your problems faster so that she can be relieved but I am glad that you came yourself in the end."

Christopher didn't say anything for a while before he finally chuckled.

" Thanks but I wasn't planning on missing my dear friend's wedding. And by the way... " Christopher suddenly stepped closer and said beside his ear.

" I'll be looking over her. If you ever dare to hurt her in any way, I swear that she will be taken away from you and you will never see her again. And I won't let you go just like that. Remember this!"

This time, Christopher was openly threatening him and showing his feelings as clear as the day which he rarely does.

Oscar just calmly stared at him.

" You don't have to worry about that. Just take care of yourself because once I am married, you will be lonely." Oscar was indirectly telling him that Victoria won't spend much time with him.

Saying that Oscar walked away. Christopher stayed in his place. He subconsciously gritted his teeth.

All the guests arrived at the hotel after 7. Dinner started at the huge dining tables in both of the hotels. They were all busy looking after the guests. The dinner was good and everyone had their share of fun but because of travelling, they were all jet lag so they went to sleep.

Most of the guests took a rest that day as they had a week and more importantly, everyone needed a good rest to have fun. The host that is Victoria and Oscar's family was free only after 10 pm. The elders were literally so tired that they couldn't walk.

Victoria and Oscar send their friends off.  He told them to take a rest as everything was done. All their close friends stayed with them to take care of the guests. Finally, when everyone left, Victoria and Mike brought food for their parents. They personally served them whatever wanted.

Sia and Wick also told them to eat but were too tired to serve them. Of course, Mike and Victoria were careful about their health and worsening their health was the last thing they wanted. The same goes for Oscar. Although he had some great friends like Asahi and Levi, at times like this, he still wished he had a sibling.

He never pointed this out in his life and no one ever suspected it. But somewhere deep inside he always envied people with siblings. When people say that he is lucky that he is the only one so that no one would fight for inheritance with him. But all he felt hearing that was that he could give all this inheritance to them but he didn't have anyone to give them to.

He fed his parents and then took them to their room. After making sure they are going to sleep, he went to his room. What he felt the most right now was that he missed her. He missed Victoria terribly. He knew he wasn't going to see her but that didn't help anything.

He took a bath and tiredly laid down on his bed. He felt no energy. He was way too tired. However, he didn't fall asleep. He couldn't without hearing her voice. But he couldn't call her either as he couldn't bear to wake her up if she fell asleep. He was very well aware she was just as tired as him and that pained him.

After who knows how long, his phone suddenly rang.

Meanwhile, Victoria also went to her room after her parents went to sleep. She had a small talk with Mike and then went separate ways. She also met Christopher in the hallway. It looked like he was waiting for her.

He talked a little and told her to take care. Victoria soon went to her room and the first thing she did was take a bath. She was so tired that she fell asleep in the bathtub. But when the water touched her face, she woke up. When she realised that she had fallen asleep, she hurriedly got up.

After cleaning up, she wore a fluffy comfortable nightdress. Then slumped down on her bed. The bed observed her and she buried her face in the pillows. The soft comforter hugged her. She would have fallen asleep instantly had it not been for her not hearing Oscar's voice.

She was worried that she would disturb his rest but she had a feeling he wouldn't fall asleep without talking to her. So she called with a heavy heart. Just before the first ring ended, the call was answered.

Victoria had her eyes closed from tiredness but she didn't fall asleep. Hearing the sound of the phone being picked up, a warm smile formed on her beautiful face.
