Chapter 68: A Priceless Memory.

Victoria casually looked up while thinking about what to do. The steam was fading and a face came into view. Victoria felt it was familiar and looked closely. As the steam faded more and more, Victoria froze stiffly in her spot. 

She wasn't sure if her eyes were playing tricks on her or maybe the steam was playing jokes with her but she saw someone she was yearning for. 

" O-Oscar!" 

When Victoria looked at his stunned expression, she was sure it was him.

Oscar was dragged over by his friend but he refused to take the steam bath and instead took a walk in all this mist. He desperately missed everyone. Especially Victoria. He felt like he was suddenly deprived of food. He felt hungry to see her. He had to change his number and everything so all that remains was a portrait-size photo of her that he kept dearly.

Oscar looked at Victoria's photo that he practically stole from her album. Sia was showing him her photos when he secretly stole the one he really wanted to keep to himself. In that picture, she was in her 20s. She was smiling brightly. He never got the honour to see that smile but it was the most beautiful smile. It helps him when he feels like going back and pursuing her. 

The main reason Oscar left wasn't just because he was hurt by her words. It was mainly because he was scared of her despising her. If he stayed anywhere near her, he would be tempted to make her his own. He knew very well how dark his inner devil is. 

He even had the thought of just taking her away somewhere where no one can find them. However, the thing he absolutely never wanted to happen was her hating him. He could barely bear her despising him but he could never bear her hating him.

Oscar looked at her picture with yearning. But he put it inside as he was scared he would lose it. That's when he noticed that someone was walking in front of him. He quickly stopped or else they might crash. It happens often in these situations.

As the steam faded, he saw that face miraculously appear in front of him. He was desperately missing that face and he would never even dare dream it would appear here.

Victoria's blonde hair which looked brown because of the darkness flowed slightly with the wind. The steam caused them to dampen a little. Her greyish blue eyes shone like the brightest star to Oscar as he dazzlingly stared into them. Wondering if it was just a sweet dream. 

That's when he heard that voice. The one he was dying to hear. That angelic voice was calling out his name.

" O-Oscar!"

Victoria shook with excitement as she slowly took a step forward. Now they can see each other clearly. 

" Is that you, Oscar?!"

Oscar just stared into her eyes. Unable to say anything frozen in his spot. His eyes went a little red. 

As soon as she came closer to him, Victoria was sure it was him. It was the same man who made her fall for him. It was the only man she would ever fall for. It was the one she love.

Victoria suddenly held him by the neck and pulled him forward. Without any hesitation, she kissed him.

Oscar was still frozen when it suddenly happened. His mind started short-circuiting. He couldn't understand what was going on. Tears subconsciously fell off his eyes. The ones he had been holding on to forever. 

When Victoria felt that he wasn't returning the kiss, she slowly break free and looked at him. What she saw stunned her. Tears were falling off his eyes. She wiped them with her thumbs and also got teary. 

" Oscar, I love you." 

Oscar was still frozen. Unable to react at all.

Victoria gently wiped his tears as hers also fell. 

" Oscar, am I too late?" Victoria kept gently wiping his tears but hers started streaming down. Just thinking about it breaks her apart.

Oscar didn't return to his senses no matter what she said. However, when he saw her tears, he panicked.

" D-Don't cry!" Oscar wiped her tears and looked tensed up. Victoria's hands fell as she asked again. Looking like she would break apart by the slightest hit.

" Oscar... Do you still love me?" She asked in a barely audible voice.

Oscar was stunned. Finally, he digested all the words she said before. Seeing her crying, he quickly approached her but didn't dare to touch her. He was still scared.

" I... Only loved you!" 

When Victoria heard this, it was like she was saved. She cried happily and threw herself in his arms. Oscar caught her. He held her gently as he feared her falling. Or rather he was scared it was all a dream and she would disappear. 

Victoria kissed him happily. However, he still didn't return it. She broke out. She could now see it. His vulnerable state. He was holding her like glass porcelain that may break at the slightest harm. He was treating her like some treasure he didn't deserve to have.

Victoria's felt like crying again. He didn't know. He didn't know but he was the only one who could have her.

Victoria gently put her hands over his neck. She gazed at his deep eyes and gave him a light peck before saying.

" Oscar, kiss me."

Oscar was shocked. He was frozen. Victoria kept gazing at him. Waiting for him patiently. Oscar was hesitant. He still wasn't sure what was happening. 

" I love you." Victoria suddenly said with dead serious eyes and that's all it took. 

Oscar kissed her desperately. He couldn't get enough of her. Victoria closed her eyes as she let him take the lead. Oscar didn't let go until they lost all of their oxygen. However, he didn't stop and kissed her again. Both of them didn't know how long they kissed. 

They only knew that it was the best memory they would treasure. It was a priceless memory for them. They wouldn't want to lose that memory no matter what.
