Later on, Oscar brought Victoria back to her bedroom. Because of her emotionally unstable condition, Oscar decided to they there. She was so tired from crying that she fell asleep once he laid her down on the bed.
However, burning that letter really was the best choice. It wiped away the memories of that letter. They forgot the existence of that letter. They truly let the past go.
The next morning, everyone woke up happy. They were a little sleepy as everyone slept late but there was a different kind of glow on their face. His parents also stayed that night as they were worried about everyone.
Oscar woke up the earliest before anyone else. He stared at his wife's harmless face for a while before getting up from the bed. He was still worried about her. He was also worried about whether she will eat breakfast or not. Moreover, everyone looked quite distressed and they didn't even get to talk properly.
After washing up, Oscar went downstairs and asked the cook to prepare some milkshakes along with potato pancakes along with some other things. He also asked them to prepare french toast as Victoria usually likes it.
After 10 minutes since he come down, others started to wake up too. The parents all woke up at their usual time which was early while Mike woke up when they started their breakfast.
" Oscar, sit down and eat with us. Why ain't you eating? And where is Victoria? Didn't you wake her up for breakfast?"
" Sorry Uncle but I'll wait for Victoria. Last night... She was quite exhausted so I didn't wake her up. I wanted her to get a good rest."
" Oh. Okay, but it's her first day at the office, right? You've already extended your leaves but if you keep doing this, people would say that you are no longer as professional as before. Moreover, Victoria has never been so stern with anything other than her work. That's why I am still so shocked that she didn't wake up herself yet."
" You are right Uncle. But don't worry, I will cover for her. Since I am here, I won't let her tire herself out because of her work."
" Hahaha. Good. Take care of yourself too. Victoria can be quite lazy at home. She might tire you out." Oscar chuckled and replied.
" It's no problem Uncle."
Victoria woke up alone. Her hands went to the other side of the bed searching for someone and when she didn't find that someone, she finally opened her eyes and looked around. Seeing the time, she was shocked that she didn't wake up yet.
She was also late for work and her being as professional as she was, it was a quite bad start for her. She was also upset with Oscar for not waking her up yet. But she knew she was already late so rushing now won't save it. Therefore, she washed up with a dampened mood and finally walked down the stairs.
She heard the voices of people talking and laughing. Her hands held the handrails as they slipped down as she walked. Her beautiful wedding ring shone brightly on her hands. Her slightly wet hair was open flowing like an untamed flame.
Seeing them talking and laughing in such a good atmosphere, her mood also improved and she didn't want to make everyone upset because of unreasonable things so she didn't say anything about not waking her up yet.
Moreover, when she heard Oscar was waiting for her to eat and his concerned words for her, her upset feelings disappeared in an instant and she forgot about all the bad things. A smile blossomed on her face as she stared at Oscar.
Just then, Oscar turned towards her and their eyes met. It was as if he felt her coming. A warm smile spread on his face that was welcoming her. She instantly felt happy. Oscar was able to affect her so much that his little actions can make her happy from sad and sad from happy. Regardless, he never makes her regret a single thing about marrying him.
" Your awake?"
" Yeah."
Hearing Oscar asks her, everyone turned to look at her. Seeing that she was awake and smiling, everyone secretly felt relieved as they were worried about her. However, they were all done with their breakfast. They also had things to do so everyone went their way. Andrew and Caroline left first and then Mike. Wick also left.
Oscar pulled the chair for Victoria and let her sit down. Then he also sat beside her. Sia stood up from her chair after wiping her hands. Her eyes trailed to wherever Victoria was. She served her the shake while Oscar helped her with the food. Seeing that, Victoria looked up and met her mother's gentle gaze.
Remembering all that happened last night made her stop in her movement. She didn't know how to react. She didn't know what to say. Just then, a warm hand patted her head. Sia rubbed her hair with her kind motherly smile.
" Eat properly. You have to go to work. It will be tiring." Hearing her mother's usual kind words, Victoria felt slightly emotional.
" I am sorry Mamma."
Hearing Victoria, Sia shook her head to express she didn't want that. Bending down a little, Sia gently kissed Victoria on the forehead.
" Don't worry about that dear. All I wanted was to make everyone let go of the past. I never wanted your apology. I forgive you the moment you come back home in a coma." Sia said in remembrance of those memories.
" Well then, I am going. You both eat properly before going to the office. Victoria, look after Oscar too. He only cares about you and forgets to take care of himself." Saying that Sia turned around to go back. Victoria smiled at her back and said.
" Love you, Mamma!"
" Love you too, dear."
After Sia was gone, they eat their breakfast. Victoria first served food to Oscar before going back to her lazy self. Leaning against his chest as he fed her. However, she still makes sure that he eats too. While eating, she pouted and asked him.
" Why didn't you wake me up? Don't you know I hate latecomers? Let alone on the first day?"
" I couldn't bear to."
That totally shut her off. Though she still pretended to be upset, a smile secretly blossomed on her face. Oscar saw it and ignored it. He went along with her childishness.
