Chapter 17: Sis... Is That Really You?!

His hairstyle was also totally different from before. It was a decent hairstyle suitable for a man who held a lot of responsibilities. Unlike before, his room's interior changed. It was simple and standard. Not at all like before. He looked so mature and grown-up that she couldn't believe it. After looking at him for a long time, she closed the door and went out as it was going to be sunrise soon. As she was going to go down, she remembered that she left her backpack in her bedroom. She quickly went to retrieve it. In her haste, she didn't notice the voice of the elevator.
After that, Victoria hurriedly walked down the stairs. As she was steps away from the secret passageway that leads to the back door, she heard some voices and before she could react, she heard a voice.
" Who are you?!"
Hearing the voice, she froze. A tear subconsciously spilt out of her eye.  She shook it off and wanted to step further when her mother spoke again.
" You look a little familiar. Who are you?! How did you enter the house?"
Victoria still kept silent. She turned her head ever so slightly and glanced at her mother. As soon as she saw her, more tears spilt out of her eyes. Her mother had aged quite a lot in these short year's. As she was wearing the helmet, Her mother couldn't see her face. Then Victoria ran out and quickly escaped the house.
Sia, her mother saw something as Victoria ran out. When Victoria turned around, Sia saw some of her hair that we're sticking out of the helmet. She saw the hair colour. It was blonde. The same as her daughters. Though it was impossible, Sia still runs after her.  However, when she reached there, all she could hear was the loud noise of a motorcycle driving away.
She wasn't sure if it was really Victoria. However, when she went back and calmed down, it clicked to her that only their family members could open the back door. She clearly saw that person open it with her fingerprint. Now, she was almost sure. To really confirm it, she ran up to the surveillance room. The guards there was sleeping. She quickly clicked up the surveillance of the garden. She couldn't see much but got the hints that there was someone who was cunningly avoiding the cameras. Then, she opened the cameras inside the house. In the hall, she saw that person covered in the black walk to the frame before going up. There weren't any cameras in the room. Only the passageway that had the doors to the room had a camera. It was installed recently. You could see anyone who entered and left the rooms. That person went into Victoria's bedroom first. Then after some time, she looked at them from the door before looking at Mike from afar too.
Now, Sia was 100 per cent sure it was Victoria. As soon as she realized that, Sia sat down on her knees in front of the monitors and started crying. The guards woke up from her voice and were frustrated seeing her crying so desperately. When they couldn't handle it anymore, they woke up Mike and his father.
When they heard that Sia was crying so badly, they got tensed up and quickly run to the surveillance room.
Seeing the way she was crying, they were really worried. Mike hugged Sia tightly and worriedly asked.
" Mom! Mom, don't cry! Tell me what happened!"
Sia was crying with hiccups and didn't reply to him. Mike got frustrated and shouted at the guards.
" What the hell happened?!"
The guards stuttered.
" We-we don't know sir!"
" What do you mean you don't know?! What were you doing?! Don't tell me you were sleeping?! Damn it!"
The guards were terrified and kept their mouths shut.
Finally, Sia said between her hiccups.
" Mike! Vi-Victoria, she was he-here!"
" What?!"
Their father also exclaimed loudly. Mike loosed his arms and fell on the ground beside his mother. His eyes were blank. He was starting aimlessly in a daze. After a long time, he asked.
" Mom, what did you just say?!"
" I saw her! It was for sure my daughter. She comes here. She looked at you, me and your father. Bu-but she ran away as soon as I saw her!"
" What the... " Mike couldn't believe it.
" I saw the surveillance. She was in there."
Hearing that, Mike froze. After getting his senses back, he quickly got up and played the surveillance.
Looking at that familiar yet unfamiliar figure, his heart was in   mess.
" Sis... Is that really you?!" He mumbled to himself in a daze.
