Chapter 55: Long Time No See.

It was her first day at the office after all this time. She hasn't previously informed her colleagues of her return. She heard that Hailey and Jan have been taking good care of their office. She also heard that Hailey, Meg, Eren and Alexa have become great lawyers. Hailey was the chief lawyer while Alexa was the one who performed best. Jan was the investigator of their lawyers and she has improved tremendously while Victoria has gone. They made a lot of money and brought an apartment beside. 

Victoria heard that they all came to visit her and cried when she was in a vegetative state in the hospital. She was worried about Hailey but she knew Jan would have taken care of her. 

Victoria drove her red Audi R8 and stopped in the parking. Today, she was wearing black skin tight suit pants and an undershirt. She had a red blazer over it. With a key locket and red heels, Victoria stepped out. 

She glanced at her role watch. It was 10 past the office time. Everyone must already be there. Victoria took a deep breath and walked inside the building. As she stood in the elevator, Victoria saw herself in the mirror. Her long hair was open and loosely hung on her shoulders. 

She forgot how she used to look with long hair but when she looked into the mirror and saw herself, Victoria felt like she got back what she had abandoned. She felt like she was back. Her real self was back.

Finally, the elevator opened. Victoria stood in front of the door. She input the password form before and surprising, the door opened. The office was exactly the same. Victoria silently walked in. As soon as she arrived in the hall, her eyes caught a figure on the sofa. She looked quite tense as she anxiously looked over some documents again and again. 

Victoria slowly walked towards her. Seeing her, warmth filled her eyes. Hailey runs her hand through her hair frustratedly as she shut the documents and leaned back.

" Do you need some help?" 

Suddenly, Hailey heard a familiar yet unfamiliar voice. She quickly opened her eyes to see someone picking up the documents she was reading. The long hair was hiding that person's face.

" Who are you? How did you get in?" Hailey got alerted.

Victoria turned towards her. As her hair slowly fell back, a familiar and beautiful face came into view. Hailey's pupils sunken as she froze. Her eyes reddened. 

Victoria smiled warmly at Hailey.

" How are you, Hailey?"

Hailey staggered back in shock. A tear fall out of her eyes as she stared at Victoria without blinking.

" Si-Sis! Is th-that you, Sis?!" She asked. 

Seeing Hailey like this, Victoria felt bad. She put down the documents and approached Hailey. 

" Sis! Is that really you?" Hailey asked as she couldn't believe her eyes.

Victoria simply hugged her. 

" Yes. It's me. Long time no see, Hailey. Sorry to make you worried."

Hailey was limb but then, she suddenly hugged Victoria tightly and sobbed hard. 

" Sis! Sis! I missed you. It was so hard without you. I missed you so much... "

Victoria patted her head as she consoled her. Suddenly, they heard a door open as Jan, Meg, Eren and Alexa walked out of the meeting room. They were worried about Hailey as she left in the middle of the meeting because of some problems. Jan quickly wrapped up the meeting and they got out. Jan was worried about Hailey. 

Since Victoria was gone, Hailey worked so hard that it affected her health. She always had to be the strong one to look after her. They rarely lost cases but when they do, Hailey got so broken up that she wouldn't eat or drink. Because Victoria never lost, she never let the victims suffer any more than this, Hailey wanted to remain the same. So whenever she was lost or about to lose a case, Hailey would be badly beaten up.

When they walked out, they saw Hailey was hugging someone. They knew Hailey didn't have any family and that she doesn't make close friends. So when she saw this, Jan was shocked. The others were also shocked. 

When Victoria and Hailey heard the voices, they turned around. When they finally saw Victoria's face, Jan dropped her cup of coffee while others looked very shocked. 

" Long time no see." Victoria smiled at them.
