As they walked out of the hospital, no one talked. The atmosphere was strangely silent. The kind that was scary. Victoria walked in a daze all the way to their car. In the middle, she almost crashed into another person coming in. Oscar pulled her aside. She couldn't seem to hear any voices.

After she sat in the car, Oscar also sat down. He parked the car aside as it was in front of the hospital. He was not in the condition to drive and needed some time to sort out his thoughts. He waited for a long time but Victoria didn't say anything. So he said.

" What are you thinking?" He asked slowly. But Victoria didn't reply. Then he said.

" Victoria, how about we consider it slowly? Don't think too much. Everything will be alright."

" Drive," Victoria replied with one word. She sounded cold but Oscar knew she wasn't actually hearing anything. He was just worried for her. He couldn't lose her. He got her after a lot of hardships. It was really hard to have her in his life. He can't lose her. He absolutely can't lose her.

Oscar didn't say anything else as he knew now wasn't the situation to talk as they were both not in their right minds. If the situation was really as simple as the doctor said, if taking care of her health and taking precautions would make things successful, then the doctor would never have talked about abortion in the first place. The doctor's first option was abortion.

She was trying her best to make them feel that everything can still be good but they were both intelligent people. By the way, the doctor acted and by how things played out, they both understood the situation perfectly well. Now was one of the badest times for Victoria to be pregnant. Nor was it any better for the past few years.

The harm inflicted on her body at that incident will have side effects for all her life and this would probably be the worst side effect of her life.

Halfway through their way back home, Victoria reacted and opened her phone. Oscar saw that and was scared about what she is thinking because she didn't seem to be thinking clearly.

Victoria dialled a number. After ringing three times, the phone from the other side was picked up. She said in a calm voice.

" Mike, come to my place tomorrow morning. At around 10 o'clock." Then she swiftly hung up.

Then she dialled the next number.

" Mom, come with dad to my place tomorrow morning. I also told Mike. At around 10 o'clock. I have something to tell you."

Then she didn't stop and continued dialling again.

" Aunty, please come to our home tomorrow in morning at around 10 o'clock. Bring Uncle along with you. We'll talk with you tomorrow. I'll hang up now."

Then she still didn't stop. And continued calling one after another.

" Hailey, please send all the documents of the cases I need to handle to my home. I won't be coming to work for some time. Something came up. Make sure that everything is alright in my absence. And I'll help you guys so most of the time you will have to go to court. I won't make my presence for quite some time. But if I am needed, I'll be there so make sure to inform me of every detail. I'll hang up then."

After the last call, Victoria finally took a deep breath. They had reached the home already. After going inside, they both didn't talk. Oscar was waiting for Victoria to say something. Finally, Victoria sorted out her emotions and went in front of him.

She smiled genuinely and hugged him. Then she said.

" We'll give the good news to our families tomorrow. Let's have a feast at night for the celebration. I have talked to my subordinates and unless and until it's absolutely necessary, I won't leave our house for safety precautions. Moreover, we'll be fine. God has always been very kind to me so don't worry."

" What will we do if... " Victoria stopped him from speaking by blocking his mouth with her hand. Then she said.

" Nothing has happened. Everything is perfectly fine. I'll be fine and our child will be fine. We will be just like any other couple. Nothing can happen to our child!"

" Victoria... " Oscar was still scared. He couldn't lose her. He will not be able to live without her. She is everything to him. Losing her would be like losing his life and sanity.

Victoria saw it in his eyes. What he was feeling and thinking. And that scared the hell out of him. She suddenly pulled out of his arms harshly and said in the coldest voice she ever talked.

" No! Absolutely not an option! Oscar, if anything happens to our child, I will die too."

That left him in complete misery. Of course, he also loved the child. He was awaiting the child with so many dreams and expectations. But this situation has put him in the worst place. Just what is he supposed to do? He can't bear to choose one and abandon another.

Though he tried his best to control himself, Oscar's red eyes teared up and a few tears flowed down unstoppably. Seeing that, Victoria was stunned. She got her senses back and realised what situation Oscar was in. She loved him. And hurting him was the last thing she wanted to do.

" I am sorry! I am sorry Oscar. Please don't cry. It's all my fault! You did nothing wrong. I shouldn't have said that. I am really sorry." Victoria wiped his tears clumsily and hugged him tightly to make him stop crying. Her tears which she has been doing her best to hold back also went out of control.

She didn't want to cry. She wanted to be happy out of her mind. She didn't want them to cry. But now, she was neither able to stop him from crying nor was she able to stop herself from crying. This was probably the hardest time for her. Harder than those accidents, harder than her separation from Oscar and simply harder than anything she has gone through.
