Oscar didn't say anything after that. His eyes were filled with pain as he kept silent. He wanted to go back to Victoria but Sia and others would like to see her too so he decided to give them some space.

He was not feeling well so he went to the balcony. He needed some time alone. He didn't want to see anyone at that moment. As he stared out the balcony, countless thoughts emerged in his mind like a broken record and he was unable to do anything about that.

He felt like he was barely hanging on to something. If it wasn't for Victoria's constant assurance, he would not survive this. But he knew all along that she was just putting up a front. She might be more affected by this.

He overlooked her worries over his. Today, her words opened his mind. What was he going on about I can't do anything. He surely didn't fail in adding burden on her worries.

She said she didn't want to die. And she won't! It's not like she's choosing to die. She is just as helpless as he is. All he could do was to make her realise that they'll always be together and that nothing would happen to them.

As Oscar stood there, he didn't know how long has passed. He didn't even hear footsteps approaching him. He was shocked when suddenly someone touched his shoulder. He turned around and saw Caroline.

They stared at each other in a stalemate and finally, Oscar give up on trying to be strong. If being weak can help him be stronger for Victoria, then he can be weak. At least in front of his mother, he can show his weakest side.

Oscar hugged Caroline tightly and cried silently. His body shooked a little because of his cries. Caroline still couldn't digest anything but she knew she needed to be there for her son. When he has no one to rely on, he would bottle everything up and that would pain him more.

She gently rubbed his hair and her eyes were also red as she spoke.

" It's okay. It's okay Oscar. Everything will be alright. Mom and Dad will take care of everything." These are probably the most reassuring words for any child. To hear their parents say that everything will be alright and that they will take care of everything.

" Mom... I can't lose her... I can't lose both of them... " Oscar whispered while crying. Hearing him, Caroline's eyes flashed with pain but she held it in. He needed her right now.

" I know. I know. We won't lose her. You won't lose her. Nor the child. Don't worry. Everything will be alright."

After a while, Oscar calmed down a little. Seeing that, Caroline felt relieved. But a complicated look flashed in her eyes as she finally asked him.

" Oscar, can you tell us all what happened? I know it's hard to talk about this but everyone needs to know so that we all can help. Keeping this to yourself won't do any good. If everyone works together to get through this hurdle, then we can win this."

Oscar didn't say anything but just nodded. Caroline smiled lightly and took him in.

Meanwhile, after Oscar went away, everyone looked at him distressedly. Sia wanted to look after Victoria but she was also worried about Oscar. He was like a son to her.

She looked at Caroline and they tacitly went to do their task. As Sia entered the room, she saw Victoria in a deep sleep. Her face looked tired and pale. As she held her hands, she was reminded of her words.

When she heard Victoria, she lost her mind. She couldn't accept her words. She couldn't believe it. She froze stiffly. Trying to deny her words but they brought tears to her. Victoria's words turned their happiness into a nightmare.

Now they understood why Victoria and Oscar were acting strange and why they didn't seem happy like a usual couple. It was because this happiness may not come in the end or even take away what little happiness they had.

Sia cried for a long time. She couldn't control herself as she watched Victoria. But she knew that at this time, they had to be the strongest. Their kids needed them. They can't break down too.

So she went out. Mike was also devasted hearing this news. And his heart becomes so restless and anxious. Finally, when everything seemed to be going in the right direction, something like this happened.

It was like passing by heaven just to go to hell. It felt terrible and disturbed their peace of mind. The atmosphere was all gloomy out there. No one talked. Wick and Andrew already contacted the best doctors they knew. But they needed more information to help.

They all waited for Oscar and Caroline. In this depressing atmosphere, Oscar and Caroline finally came out of the balcony. Oscar's eyes were so red that anyone could see that he had cried.

Oscar and Caroline sat down on the couch. Everyone was silent and waited to hear Oscar. Oscar looked down at the floor and did his best to lock up the pain inside his heart. He knew that the best thing to do is to tell them the truth.

So after gathering all the courage he could, he spoke painfully in a trembling voice.

" Yesterday, after getting the news we instantly went to the doctor for confirmation. However, none of us expected to hear something else. The doctor confirmed Victoria was pregnant, but before we could celebrate, she told us that... The timing might not be good for us.

She told us that Victoria's body has already weakened terribly since she was in a coma. And even after that, her body was still weak. She recently got into another car accident. Combining it all, the doctor said that Victoria's body is too weak for pregnancy.

Maybe after 3 or 4 years, she would have been strong enough for it but not now. She is too weak for it. She won't be able to bear the pain.

And she... She gave us two options. One was to get ri-rid of the baby... And the other was to let us have them. But she said doing so would come with great risk.

If we are not extremely meticulous regarding her health and even a little bit of harm comes her way, then it could endanger her life. She said that they could still save her if anything happens in the starting three months but after that if something happens to her, they won't be able to save her.

And after three months, they also can't abort the baby because it would endanger her life. But even if we try our best, she said that at the time of delivery, a mother goes through the door of death. With Victoria's condition, it will be hard for her to survive the delivery.

And she warned me more than once that it is most likely that I'll have to choose one of them. She told me it is unlikely to have them both save in the end. At one point, I will have to choose one of them. I will... I will have to give up on one to save the other... "
