Chapter 131: I Failed To Recognise You.

With an expert and trained driver along with the hidden guards who were to protect her, Victoria went along the way. Victoria also brought lunch from a decent restaurant along the way. When she entered the premises, the bodyguards relaxed a little as it was Oscar's territory. 

However, there wasn't any guarantee that things will be alright as enemies can be anywhere. So they kept their eyes on her. Victoria went to the receptionist. Her face may not be recognisable as she ain't a celebrity. 

She wanted to surprise Oscar so she didn't call him. The receptionist was serious and polite. She was very professional in her work and left a good impression on Victoria. Though that position may not seem respectful, it was a very hard job where one had to be careful. 

" Hello. May I ask you what you need Ma'am?"

" I wants to meet your chairman."

The receptionist looked quite surprised. Oscar was not the CEO but the chairman of the corporation. His position was quite something else and so not many people came into contact with him. It was really rare for someone to come meet him. He mostly deals with the highest authorities of the company. Most of the insignificant matter were handles by his trusted vice chairman. 

However, he was just the face. Oscar didn't want to get involved with people and he disliked the social gatherings. Unless its really important, he would not attend the parties. Threfore the vice chairman was the face of the corporation while he was the backbone. 

He was like an emperor in the shadows. The country is run by his directions. The politics respect him and dare not offend him. If something happens to the company, the whole country will be badly effected by it. The economic will shake up.

So that's why the receptionist was surprised. However, she wasn't naive or stupid like some other but sharp and polite. 

" Do you have an appointment Ma'am?"

" No."

" Oh. Then... Please give me your identity Ma'am so I can ask the head office of secretary if the chairman is free to meet you."

" No don't do that."

 Again, the receptionist was surprised and froze in  her actions. Well, Victoria was acting strange. So she couldn't help but be suspicious about her. Though Vicotira looked decent and kind, there was no guarantee if she was a safe person. 

" I am really sorry Ma'am but the protocol doesn't allow me to contact the chairman on small matter. If you can provide me some more detail and intention of your visit then I might be able to help you pass the message."

Victoria smiled helplessly as she felt that she was troubling the receptionsit for no reason. She didn't want to contact Oscar's assistant because just in case he was with Oscar then Oscar will know she was coming and it will no longer be a surprise.

" It's okay. Its my fault for being so suspicious. Wait a sec." 

Saying that, Victoria took out her Id card and gave it to the receptionist.

" Here. Nice to meet you. I am Victoria Helson."

The receptionist took her Id card and as she read her name, she heard Victoria which left her stratled. Who doesn't know Victoria?! She was more famous than any celebrity in this country. Every single person knew her name. She is frequently mentioned in the news. She had a whole bunch of fan base that is nothing compared to the other celebrities. 

More importantly, just what is her identity. The hieress of Samuelson Corporation. The beloved daughter of the family. The Lady boss of Lazlo corporation. The doted wife of the chairman of the lazlo corporation. The CEO of Victory Law Frim. The best lawyer of her field. The most respected lawyer of the country.

Not knowing her is similar to not knowing the basic information of the country. She was a very special women among all others. She was a unique and admired character. The receptionist also looked up to her. however, how was she supposed to recognise her when she is so low key. 

Only the people in her work field or family knows her face. She is really well protected. After all, she is a lawyer. Bieng famous was never her intention or her liking. She liked it when people praised her for her capabilities and knows her name. But that's all. She doesn't actually want to be a celebrity with fans all over. 

However, it was the respect and love of the people and she can't deny their kindness. So all she could do was try her best to not let her face be exposed because that's the only thing remaining.

After quite a few seconds, the receptionist recovered from her daze and quickly greeted her respectfully. 

" I am so sorry, Miss Victoria! I failed to recognise you. Please go ahead."

" It's okay. You are just doing you job. I just wanted to surprise him so I didn't wanted to inform him. Then I'll be on my way. Good work."

" Thank you for your praise!"

Then Victoria went up through the special elevator.
