Chapter 76: Disappear Like Before!

Thud... Thud... Thud... 

The calm yet strong voice of steady footsteps echoed inside the room. Everyone looked at the door where the voice was coming from. And that's when the shadow of a figure comes into their view. Behind the shadow they saw a face too can never forget.

There stood Oscar, in his simple yet novel white suit pants and a dark blue shirt. His neck-length hair was straight and upright. His eyes were bright and spoke endlessly. He was simply handsome like always. Though he was gone for a year, it took not a second for others to recognise him. 

He was someone that the people sitting in the hall can never forget. They loved and cared for him. However, they were still frozen in their spots from the shock. After all, who would expect someone who was lost for a year to suddenly show up without a warning?

" O-Oscar!" The first one to react was Oscar's mother, Caroline.

" Mom."

Without hesitation, Caroline hugged Oscar tightly. Oscar was a bit surprised but hugged her back. Since he grew up, he had less physical contact with others. When he was young, he frequently hugged his parents and they did the same but since he matured, he still loved them the same but wasn't as cheesy as before. 

So feeling the warm and safe arms of his mother, Oscar realised how much he missed them. Caroline of course started crying. It was a shock but the most beautiful shock she ever got. 

Andrew also had tears in his eyes and he looked over his son carefully to see if he is alright. Meanwhile, Victoria's family also returned to their senses. Sia also felt teary because she started seeing Oscar as her son. So him disappearing was not a good memory for her. 

She also felt bad that she wasn't of much help. Mike and Wick were sincerely happy and relieved to see Oscar.

Victoria just stood behind Oscar and gazed at him. She was happy to see him reunite with his family. She had felt bad when his family was in a bad state and blamed herself deep inside.

Andrew also hugged Oscar and Caroline. Victoria's family stayed still and let the family of three enjoy their reunion. After a long 10 minutes, Caroline suddenly pushed Oscar away. A little harshly to be honest.

Oscar was surprised at first. Then he saw a tear-stained hurtful expression on his mother's face and understood that it was him who caused such pain. His expression become guilty as he stayed silent. He didn't know what to say anymore.

" Get lost! Disappear like before! I forget that you disowned your parents!" Caroline said agitatedly. Tears still rained down her eyes.

Andrew didn't say anything but he didn't stop Caroline either. Oscar stood with his head bowed like a child who was getting punished by his parents for doing something wrong. No one interfered with the family of three.

Saying that Caroline turned to the back and didn't look back at Oscar. Oscar stood there guiltily. He didn't know what to do.

Suddenly, Oscar felt a pair of hands grab his. He looked down and saw a beautiful hand white a Saphire ring clenching around his. Then he looked up at the beautiful person to whom this hand belonged.

His eyes met with those greyish-blue eyes. They were holding his world within them. 

" Apologise. They will forgive you after a while."

Victoria said in a gentle whisper. She clenched her hand tighter. Oscar finally took a deep breath and smiled greatfuly at her. Victoria returned an encouraging smile.

Oscar stepped forward and stood a few steps behind his mother and finally said.

" Mom, I am really sorry. I was wrong. I didn't mean to hurt you but... Please forgive me."

Caroline's tears kept falling but she didn't turn around. Instead, she spoke without looking at him.

" No. You did nothing wrong! You are already so big that you can do everything without consulting us so don't worry! Go ahead and do whatever you want! I don't care! We understand very well that you don't need us anymore! Why would you apologise?! Why do you care about our pity feelings?! It's not like it actually matters to you! Just... Just go away... "

" No Mom! I was wrong! I was selfish! I can never disown you. I always care about you! I was wrong! I was really wrong this time. I know that I don't really deserve your forgiveness but Mom... Can you forgive your son one last time... I promise I won't do this again. I would always need you, Mom and Dad. Sorry for destroying your peace. Mom, I am sorry... Please give me a chance to redeem my mistake... "

Caroline's tears spilt faster as she didn't say anything this time. On the other side, Andrew sighed and went towards Caroline. He hugged her shoulders and consoled her softly.
